So I took advantaged of the Toys R Us Big Book sale, planning on donating the free Triple H's that I have accumulated and will more than likely pick up over the course of the month to Toys for Tots in December around Christmas. I picked up the BOPPV Heyman guys for the Heyman pieces, but someone had previously taken the chest piece from the Cena and returned it without me noticing it when I purchased it. This irks me because I bought it just for the torso. Rather than exchanging it for a new Cena, I will more than likely purchase another one. My question is if it would be ok if I were to donate the Cena that had its Heyman piece stolen to Toys for Tots even though it was previously opened or would that make me just as bad as the guy who bought the figure, took the torso and returned it? The figure seems to be untouched and it has all the accessories except for the Heyman Chest piece. The box is in near perfect shape as well. If it is ok, I will more than likely do it for the 2nd Cena if I were to purchase another one as well as donating the Brock that I had picked up as well (keeping the Heyman piece for myself). I'm interested in hearing what you guys have to say. |

Its a great gesture to donate anything that will brighten up a child's day! I say go for it! Kids love any and all toys, so they won't mind about any imperfections the way many adults do. Most of the adults on here are beyond picky than kids are lol...its a good thing you're doing man!

COuldnt you just open the package and put the pieces you do have in a ziplock bag or something? At least then it won't look like you tried to rip someone off or something. Or maybe mark out "Includes parts" with a marker?

Donate it! I mean, the kid receiving the toy most likely wont be getting the rest of the BAF so they wont be missing out on much. Good for you, doing what you're doing!

Donating it wouldn't be bad at all. The kid would still be getting a figure. What's he gonna do with just a torso anyway?
I once donated one of those Jakks mini playsets. It came with 6 mini figures but Billy Gunn's leg was broken in the packaging. The kid who go it still got 5 other figures to have fun with.

Don't open it, let the kid open it. And these ate going to be given to families where they couldn't afford all the figures, let alone one, so missing the parts is not a big deal.

Any kid who is receiving presents from goodwill should be thrilled about getting any elite for christmas BAF parts or not. You should be more worried about sending it out because it's Cena. Lol.

Yes, perfectly fine without the build a figure part. They'll be ecstatic to open the box just for the full WWE Wrestling figure.

They always ask for unopened and unwrapped toys. While I wouldn't mind it at all and I'm sure tins of kids will love it, I don't think it would be appropriate since you KNOW it was opened before and there's stuff missing. I wouldnt lie to the marines or shaq a Claus.

I think your heart is definitely in the right place, but I can understand the problem of giving a kid a toy with stolen (by someone else) parts.
If there is someone working the donation booth, I think I would be honest and explain that the figure itself is still unopened but the non-essential piece has been removed (not by you) and see if they have any ideas for it.
If nothing else, donate it to a place that accepts gently used toys (something like a shelter, not a place that re-sells them like Goodwill).

I agree with both of these quotes. While your heart is in the right place, I wouldn't do it. Even though many of these kids don't have much, and would appreciate all toys, it might bring them down a bit if they open a toy and realize that something is missing. |

I think the kid would be more excited to get a John Cena figure than a Paul Heyman body part. I say donate it. Donating it defeats returning it anyway.

I'm torn here because I have literally almost hundreds of empty elite boxes taking up space in my room. I also have a lot of older loose figures id like to donate. But if I repack these figures in my empty elite boxes for donation I'll probably be called a crook and scammer. But honestly it's better than nothing for these kids.
I remember one year my family was struggling so we got some donated presents. I got a jakks JBL and I was so happy because I wanted one for so long. I could've cared less what kind of packaging it was in or of it was missing he belt or accessories. I just was stoked to have a new wrestler. As it wasn't a common occuranfe for me back then. And it isn't for these suffering broke kids today. So any figure to a young wrestling fan in poverty is a great gift.

Thank you all for the feedback, guys! I'm just going to rack up as many free HHH's as I can over the next month and donate them to avoid disappointing a child's Christmas as someone did point out that a kid could have the other 3 pieces, needing that 1 that isn't in the box. And LMBO at the Seinfeld reference!
