lol at those who actually think he can't wrestle. Yep. I'm a Cena fan. I was a fan before he was "the man" and I didn't change my opinion just because booing him became trendy.

I met Cena back at WrestleMania XX, and he was absolutely a class act. The way he carries himself outside of the ring earned him my respect and support for more than 9 years, even if he was never my favorite in the ring. But after coming back and winning the World championship, obliterating Sandow, and being described as an ultimately awesome invincible Superman by the commentators, I am sick to death of him. I'm bored to tears. How am I supposed to get behind a guy who apparently can't lose no matter what and can overcome any odds? Being a hero is about overcoming hardship, and they've painted Cena as a guy who basically has no hardship - even surgery is no obstacle! WWE has been forcing him on the audience for years, but I think now they're pouring it on thicker than ever before. I just can't do it anymore. To me, Cena = the fast-forward button.

He's the face of the company so he has to do some of these things. Even mobsters donate to charity. The fact he hugs ill kids doesn't take away from the fact he cheated on his wife with Mickie James and some porn star.

Nobody hates John Cena the person. We hate John Cena the character. This.

The majority of the board has a pretty similar mindset when it comes to Cena - he's good for business, he's capable of fantastic matches, he's a workhorse for the company, but the way in which he's handled in the ring is just incredibly tiresome. There are, of course, the fringe crowd, that refuse to acknowledge that he's ever done a single positive thing in his entire career, which is ridiculous. This is exactly how I would think most people feel about Cena on the board. There will be the one or two who have there own personal takes on it though which as said above is kinda ridiculous.

I love Cena. He's a tremendous human being and a terrific wrestler. I'm a guy who I find it hard to like someone if I know they're a complete dick in real life. A lot of the time it translates over to their in-ring characters anyway. I actually used to like Scott Steiner a lot, but after hearing some of the stories about him, I've gone right off him. I still enjoy his early ring work though. The same can be said about Benoit, Dynamite Kid, Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels and several others, obviously the latter three are just twats not murderers (although Dynamite Kid is a ing psycho). John Cena is good people, and that really translates over to his in ring persona. Clearly he's no Bret Hart, but the vast majority of the time he'll put on fantastic matches. Whether people like his style or not, he's easily in the top 5 most talented wrestlers employed over the last 10 years. IMO, he's the best "face of the WWE" that they've ever had. And this is coming from someone who worships Bret Hart.

John Cena isn't there for us to enjoy.... he's there for the parents and the kids to enjoy, and that's all that matters.
When I was a kid, I grew up watching Hulk Hogan, and as a kid, Hogan inspired me to be the best person I can be. If John Cena can do that for kids in this generation, then that's all that really matters.

Cena's such a phony it isn't even funny. All that stuff he does is just to make himself look good. Everyone thought he was such a "stand up guy" for coming out with a pink breast cancer awareness shirt last year but that's such bullsh*t it isn't even funny. It's obvious that he had to wear it because the WWE told him too. It's all so ridiculous how everyone thinks he's so great and does such wonderful things. He's a ing fake and he's not fooling me. P.S. I despised Cena way before it was cool.

My issue with John is the same as Hogan, Austin, & The Rock. They are glorified beyond comprehension, but do not show technical virtuosity. They're no where the level of "Workers" people claim them to be, nor have they brought true legitimacy as grapplers or prestigue as artists. He is brainwashing another John Cena to lack in appreciation for the likes of Thesz, Race, Flair, Hart, Michaels, Punk, & so on. He panders to mediocrity.Plain & Simple. nailed it.

I have no doubt that John Cena is an incredibly committed and genuinely nice person who has a ton of heart and never forgets to make time for every single one of his fans. I mean, seriously, I couldn't imagine doing what he does day after day given the ridiculous schedule he has with traveling, his Make-A-Wish work, other promotional appearances and then wrestling on top of it. As far as an individual, I commend Cena and think he's one of the most classy mega stars the wrestling industry has ever seen. All that being said, it doesn't change the fact that I hate him as far as his character goes and all that. I will say, though, that I think he's far more tolerable when he's playing second-fiddle to the WWE Title scene like he is now and did for the majority of 2012.

You're the delusional one if you truly believe he does all this out of the kindness of his heart.
