Way too many variables here to be able to tell. I never saw HTM at retail in my area, but he wasn't in the revision cases, yet there are still ortons and del rios hanging out at my walmart, so maybe if they packed them differently that would have translated to more sales. Never saw the Giant either. I think it's safe to say that mattel is leaving money on the table, but early failures have made them way too afraid to take many chances.

Another note I just listened to Bill's Q & A and couldn't believe he was talking about scanning Bill DeMott or Hugh Morris or whatever, but also saying probably no chance for a Big John Studd. Blows my mind. You talk about a shelf warmer that would be one!! That's really all I meant. We won't get a Hugh figure. The impression from the video was that they scanned him because they were scanning in NXT and he was there, and so they might as well... Then if the reaction to the Q&A on here was hundreds of people saying "OMG I WANT A BILL DEMOTT FIGURE" and starting campaign threads they might consider it. But the reaction has just been people baffled that they would even bother scanning him.

Just because you see it shelf warm doesn't make it a failure. You have no idea how many boxes a store gets in. Some figures are short packed, but perhaps some Wal Mart or TRU got a whole bunch of one type of box while the other stores got the other. Just because you see 10 Edges or "The Giant" doesn't mean they didn't already sell 50.
If they get 50 HBKs and 5 Papa Shangos (if they were in the same set) and you go to the store and see ONE Papa Shango but 10 HBKs, you'll THINK Michaels is selling poorly, when in fact they sold 40 HBKs and only 4 Papa Shangos. We just don't know what stores get or don't get. We don't know what boxes they get unless we see them unload them. Just seeing shelf warmers is no indication of anything definitive.

in my area, Christain, HHH, Trish & JBL have been the worst selling flashbacks. christain sat in a couple storesby me for over a month. HHH/JBL have been around warming for 3 weks now. RSC has a special on Christain & trish to gether as they so many thaey cant giv them away. Sorry but Brutus the Barber, doink, Razor, Qauke would not be shelf warming like these supposed most popular attitude era guys.

Finally someone using some sense. We don't know anything. We don't have access to Mattels shipping distribution or their bank statements. I don't know why some folks get so caught up on the inner workings of stuff. Life is less stressful when you only worry about things you can control. Mattel does a great job, but it they want to create a Hugh Morris, let them. You have the choice to either buy it or leave it there until someone else does.

Yeah, that new DX HHH is definitely the biggest loser so far out of all the Flashbacks.

I never really liked him as a wrestler, but as a trainer on Tough Enough he came across just horribly.

I would love to get those guys, too, but it seems like Mattel wants to sell tons and tons of figs - I don't know if any of the Flashback figures do. For somebody who wants Classic Era figures more than Attitude Era figures to be so one-sided in their argument ain't working for me, either. It seems like any and all double-packed Elite figures start to warm after time - there doesn't seem to be twice as much demand for anyone. And there are TONS of Elite figures of everybody on the shelves around me - plenty of E22 at Target and E23 at TRU and a buttload of E24 at Wal-Mart. I have no idea if any of the figures are winners or losers. Jakks didn't want or need to sell as many figures, so we saw less of the peg clogging, but even they had some duds. It's such a crapshoot.

Yea your not remembering clearly. E13 Edge was a bust at first. Very disappointing FB. But then the Christian came out and it zoomed up in value. Shango was easy to find, as was DX HHH, Giant, hell I honestly saw more Lawlers than I did Takers in e 18.
Overall though. I'd say ALL flashbacks were successful.
