Which do you overall just prefer? I'm assuming many of you prefer Elites.
I only ever have my figures on display, so the extra articulation really doesn't interest me any. I love the extra detail and stuff on Elite figures, but I think for display purposes, I do rather basics just because I think they look better on display. But, if I ever want a CM Punk figure, it has to be an Elite figure because of the coloured tattoos and whatnot, because I don't think that Basic CM Punk's can even compared to an Elite.
But, recently I was torn on getting the Elite or Basics of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, but since I don't play with my figures, the Elite accessories, while cool, I don't really have any use for. And since they'll just be sitting on my shelf, the Basics would do the job just fine.
What about you guys? Are you strictly Elite, or do you pick up a Basic here and there if it's one you really like?

I collect a combination. I enjoy the extra detail and accessories of elites, but for some people I don't think the extra price of an elite is necessary. For instance, like you, I elected to get the basics of the shield. Their attire is all black, so there's not much difference with an elite, and I like the head on the basic Ambrose better anyway.

I collect both because in Australia we really don't get any elites. I animate with them, so elites are probably better.

I like them both. Of course on here you'll get people who say "lol basics suck i don't know why anyone would ever buy one lol". With basics you get more variety of wrestlers with them coming out every month. Some figures just look better on a basic (Tensai, for example.) I like how Elites have the accessory. Since i rarely animate I could care less about the extra articulation.

only pick up basics of divas and characters that i didnt think would get an elite(alex riley and trent barretta for example)

Both + Rumblers! Rumblers and Basics are the only ones I really display loose. All the Elites are still in their boxes.

Elites only. I own a few basics and I hate them unless they are managers/non wrestlers. I usually convert basics into elites if they didn't have one. Like Tommy Dreamer, and I'm waiting on E25 sincara to convert my Hurricane to elite.
