I may be in the minority, but I gave 1, 3 & 5 to St-Pierre. I agreed with the 48-47 decision. Same here. I might need to see round 1 again, because a lot of people are giving Hendricks that round. Dana is GOING OFF on the judges for the decision right now in the presser. Yeah, Dana is being absolutely ridiculous. The first round wasn't decisive at all, and that's the deciding round. Could have went either way.

heres the thing that got me about danas presser... he said he only gave the 3rd round to gsp. thats gotta be a misremembering by him, because round 5 was probably the clearest round of the fight. theres no way he only couldve given one round to gsp... and if he did, it had to be round 5, not round 3... which was close, and i think most people gave to gsp anyway.

It seems most people (and all the judges) gave Hendricks rounds 2 and 4, and GSP rounds 3 and 5... it all hinged on the first round, which in fairness could have gone either way. Its 6:46 in the morning so maybe i'm losing my memory but didn't he do more damage in round 1 and got a TD, Hendrick's did more surely?. I'm going to bed now but i'll have to re watch round 1 for sure. Hendricks 100% won rounds 2 and 4.

GSP didn't 'get' a guillotine. It was never close. That's not 'getting' a sub. I had it R1: H, R2: H, R3: GSP, R4: H, R5: GSP.

That decision was atrocious. Johny Hendricks clearly won that fight. He was definitely robbed tonight. He shouldn't have to fight anyone to get another crack at GSP. It should be a rematch. He proved he can beat him and it's a ing shame 2 bozos robbed him of the belt tonight. GSP is not the champ anymore. Hendricks is. He won that ing fight. End of story.

I had it R1: H, R2: H, R3: GSP, R4: H, R5: GSP. I just rewatched round 1 on mute. Yeah, it was more of an attempt. I thought he had it tighter when it was live because it even looked like Hendricks was about to tap. But regardless, there's absolutely nothing that indicated Hendricks clearly won Round 1. Absolutely nothing. That was as close of a round as you can possibly get. Like I said, that was the deciding round, and it could''ve gone either way.

The deciding round which was the first I think when to Hendricks because after GSP had that takedown and submission attempt, he did not do much at all. Whereas Hendricks had those elbows and clinch strikes after that and really did some damage. He also took Georges down as well and defended a takedown by GSP. It wasn't definite or that clear but I still believe Hendricks won 1st.
I find it funny how KenFlo was saying how damage doesn't matter in determining a fight yet Dana states that damage is everything.
I just don't get people who are saying GSP clearly won the fight. What he did do better than what Hendricks did?

Even if Hendricks won, it was only by one round - so I can't see how people are calling it an atrocious decision or "robbery". Neither guy clearly won: Hendricks definitely did the more damage and appeared to be the winner - but if you score the fight round-by-round, it really could have gone either way.

It is a robbery when you can give 4 rounds to Hendricks

Another atrocious decision was in the MacDonald/Lawler fight. That should have NOT been a split decision. Robbie clearly won that one and it should have been a UD in his favor.
These clowns for judges are seriously ruining the sport. Why don't they take the human error out of it and just go with the automated scoring they show during the fight?? I'm pretty sure that is more accurate than the judges who are apparently scoring the bouts.

As Dana White said, if Rory can't get you down he struggles big time as he isn't active enough in the stand up, really boring fighter on the feet i feel. I always thought he was overrated but maybe this lose will improve him. he is too young to write off. Re watched round 1 this morning and i still feel Hendricks did enough in that round, 1 TD each and he defended a TD plus did more damage in the striking. GSP got Lucky last night and to his credit he knows it.

One thing that most veteran fighters say and I agree with is never let a fight go to the judges. If you want that tile you want the win then kick the dudes ass until he can't respond.

From the way it sounds the last 4 were split. The first round was either way. People judging online seem to be using defense and damage. Damage is not listed in the official rules. It should be, but it's not. As far as I know defense is not also.
The way I feel is the challenger should have to conclusively beat the champion to take the fight. It wasn't conclusive either way. Thus I feel GSP should have kept the title. However if their is an interim title or new champion I feel Hendricks shouldn't have to win a fight to get into it. It should be Johnny Hendricks vs. the winner of a fight that has the next 2 top contenders. I think Dana should force GSP to either be back in a certain amount of time or take the title from him.

Neither guy clearly won: Hendricks definitely did the more damage and appeared to be the winner - but if you score the fight round-by-round, it really could have gone either way. Yeah but if you want to go that way, fightmetric shows that Hendricks should've won. Total strikes: Hendricks 142, GSP 125... Significant strikes: Hendricks 85, GSP 101. So I don't think it really proves who won one way or the other. This is a pretty interesting article on the result/stats etc. (the online poll is dead even too) - bleacherreport.com/articles/1853770-georges-st-pierre-vs-johny-hendricks-breaking-down-the-fightmetric-numbers
