For one I like collecting things. Mostly action figures, mainly WWE. Some of my family think im wasting money on foolishness. Little do they know I collect and not really play with them. My question is do anybody criticized you for your hobbies?

Yeah, my aunt and uncle always give it "little plastic men that sit on your shelf and do nothing". I get pleasure out of them, I like spending my money on them so I couldn't give a crap.
It's like people that buy shoes for a hobby, you can't exactly wear 4 pairs at once can you? So is that technically a waste of money. No, because it's what the person likes. Being your own person is part of life.

I sometimes second guess myself in what I'm doing with collecting figures.
Especially when you start to see how much money it's taking to have this hobby, or how intense you get in having to get EVERY single new thing that comes out - either of a certain wrestler or just every line possible - and then you start to run out of room.
You can kind of stop and think "what am I doing??" but I always continue on one way or another with it.

Do you mean second thought about collecting? I do. I enjoy doing different matches etc with them but it doesn't feel 'right' collecting sometimes.. I don't know.. It's hard to explain. :/

There have been times when I've been buying a heap of stuff in a short period of time and I've stopped and thought "what am I doing? This is crazy money!".....but then usually within a few minutes I've remembered that I work, have a good job that pays well and as an adult have the luxury of spending my own money on whatever old crap I'd like

I started collecting at elite series 8 and kinda regret I didn't start when they first came out. Buying on ebay is the one thing that's hard for me to justify

Not with Mattel WWE figures, as I only buy select Elites, but I have gone way crazy on my Marvel Universe collection and I think of the money I've invested in that as it sits in storage...

That just made me depressed for you bud Yeah, it's not a financial hardship for me or anything as I make enough for some luxuries, but I'm just not getting to enjoy it as much as I should be, and trying to sell a giant collection has proved much harder than expected.

No, I have never given a 2nd thought to collecting. I could be doing worst things with my money.

OK what's with all of these types of threads lately? Cheer up bitches! It's the holiday season. Get out there and buy all the figures your heart desires! Collect for nobody other than yourself! It's what Santa would want.
