You guys do realize that Seth MacFarlane is hardly involved with Family Guy from a creative standpoint, right?
I want to see where they're going to take this. Brian will come back soon, but damn. That episode was sad. Especially when Stewie told Vinny that no one should ever have to lose their best friend.

I choked up watching the scene, just recently losing a pet that really hit hard. Sucks they killed off Brian though, would have rather had them kill off Chris.

I guess I know what my dad felt like watching ol yeller when he was a kid.......I feel like my own dog got killed. I'm a 35 year old man in shock over the death of a cartoon dog. I guess tv can still surprise me in 2013 after all.

Just think how much more emotional that Futurama's Jurassic Bark end was in comparison to the crap that Family Guy just aired...

He'll be back at Christmas
The plot for the December 15 episode titled 'Christmas Guy' states that Stewie will hatch a plan to get "the one and only thing he wants for Christmas".
Wonder what Stewie will want

Wonder what Stewie will want Nicely done.... well that will be pretty cool, especially after the entire country got so worked up! This will go down as one of the best publicity stunts yet.....

It seems pointless that they killed him off, destroyed the time machine and now magically get him back.

Wonder what Stewie will want I just watched the episode on demand last night to see what all the fuss was about. I think this may be a short term thing and Brian will be back. Also in reference to the Christmas comment made, in the episode Stewie talks about time traveling into the future to Christmas, so if he did that, one would assume he would have had to know that Brian was dead at that point.

I think it was a pretty bold move and a clever one, it made Family Guy one of the most talked about things this week whether it be for the right reasons.
As for the episode, I watched it on YouTube. It seemed to be a lot like the other episode where they got a replacement dog but instead Brian is dead this time.
I kinda wish Family Guy had more of an on going plot though instead of just random stories every week because usually everything is back to normal then occasionally they will do something like this and it just seems out of place.
