For quite awhile now I have been keeping my distance from the WWE events and as an alternative resorted to tuning in to Bruce Blitz weekly coverage on the shows via youtube which is pretty much a consistent bashing on the product of today. I enjoy his videos with Mad Genius and find them to be very informative on what I haven't been missing since my interest died out for WWE. I will however watch if there is any buzz going around on anything hot going down. But there is very little reason to entertain yourself watching a wrestling product that fails to do just that and then some. The initials should be WFE (We Fail to Entertain)

The thing is that the show doesn't as a whole suck. The wrestling is more often than not pretty solid, a lot of the characters are cool or relatable or funny or whatever. It's just the story progression that sucks. Of course, if any other TV show suffered from that problem I would say it's not worth watching, but that's not the only thing that makes WWE interesting. Unfortunately for fans who want compelling stories, they are stuck in no man's land.

Because I've been a fan almost my whole life. I'm not gonna stop watching just because the last few months have been utter crap.

For me personally, it's because I enjoy it. I may not like an episode but there is always next week. And if I don't like a story line, I can just wait a month and there's a new one. There are so many interesting people and characters and there is always at least one or two things that have me very entertained every week. Since I've started watching, I haven't stopped and I don't see myself really ever stopping.

I rarely say anything negative, but tonight and last week were just bad. Survivor Series wasn't all that great either.
I continue to watch because I love wrestling. Hell, I watched WCW in 2000 because I'm such a fan and that stuff was awful.

Nah. So many would rather complain. I've said a million times, I didn't see a minute of wrestling from 2008-2011 because it sucked. It's not hard to not watch. Don't be like F'N Ambrosse, my man. Educate yourself. See the light. SES could've been so much more than it was. It's a shame it never got to really take off. Punk could have been the number one heel in the company if WWE had just backed him. |

Because I love it. I think it's fantastic right now. Sure, there are a few things I don't care for but I'm not going to let those things ruin the rest for me.

I watched tonight because the 49ers/Redskins game was pretty boring. I used to consider Raw must see TV but lately I've been tempted to watch MNF, Blacklist, Almost Human, or Sleepy Hollow instead. I would have switched already except I can always watch the other shows later in the week On Demand. The WWE product is not good right now but if I can see a few good matches each week like Ziggler/Sandow or Wyatt Family/Punk & Bryan I'm satisifed. Its too bad the announcing has become so bad that it is actually turning me off. Cole, King, and JBL really need to stop it with the bad puns, obscure reference contests, and not-so-funny banter and insults. They spend more time trying to entertain themselves rather than call the matches and enhance the feuds with backstories. Send all three to the tape vault to watch old Raws and PPVs with JR calling the action. I never realized just how much he brought to the show until he was gone.

Wrestling is like any other long running show, it can't always be good, it can have a crappy season. But when it's good, when all the stars allign, like Summerslam 13', Exteme Rules 12' or Money in the Bank 11'. That's why we still watch.

As Vince Russo said in his Youtube interview with Wade Keller...There will always be that hardcore wrestling fan that will watch it because it has the word wrestling in the title.

Yeah it is. There are a lot of people here who love pro wrestling and have been watching it for years. Is it something you can just dump and move on without a second thought? Somebody else had the answer - hope. We hope it will be good again someday. But sadly it keeps getting worse. It will bottom out sometime - right? There I go, hoping again. |

I didn't.
I taped it on my DVR and fast forwarded through 95% of Raw and the 5% I actually watched sucked.
