Whaaaaaaa? ![???](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/huh.gif) ![???](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/huh.gif) supposedly on the January 24th,2001 edition of Thunder,Meng surrendered the Hardcore title to the Barbarian, since it was Meng's final WCW appearance. the Barbarian would never actually defend the Belt, and it was never seen on WCW television again. some people say this is false, though,so I'm not sure. but if true, that would technically make him the last WCW Hardcore Champion.

That's a pretty bold statement man. Not that you're wrong as it's subjective, but you've got guys like Bigelow, Vader, Dusty, Snuka, Harley Race, Jake Roberts, Tatanka and Jerry Lawler (among others) who never won any titles in WWF. ya see...heres my thoughts on it.....and remember this is based on WWF tenures.... Lawler,Dusty& Race were past it when they joined Vinces troupe.IMO they were well out of contention for any titles and were never gonna win any..Race was brought in expressly to feed to Hogan for instance.but however that's not to say that Lawler(one of wrestlings 10 best all rounders)couldn't pull it out the odd time.same as the other two.Orndorff was in his Prime and burned up the ring regularly. Jake never needed a title IMO.....his entire gimmick seemed to be geared towards not needing or desiring them.in my book he would've looked strange as f*ck with one!! Bigelow & Vader are GREAT cases.both should've worn gold of some sort....I would've gave Bam Bam Yokos push & Vader shouldve been the one to beat Bret the night after IYH Final 4 and go to WM as champ against taker or won it in 96 as he was meant to.Orndorff just pips them for me though. I don't find Tatanka to be as good as Orndorff was. Snuka never entertained me man.always found him and his body of work to be be over praised. Please tell me you're not quoting that stupid article from Powerslam magazine that didn't even include the bloody Undertaker.

Powerslam doesn't provide me with my opinions or knowledge of this pastime......suprising as this may be to you,Im capable of forming my own opinions and IMO(apparently I must stress this now)Lawler is one of the best all rounders the sport has ever seen.I will argue that from dusk till dawn and I doubt Im on my own there. my advice?next time try posting something constructive or something that contributes to the topic instead of looking down your nose at others and their opinions.

I was actually surprised that Bret didn't seem to rate Lawler as a wrestler in his book. I've always thought he was good.

I know I put the "Pric" in capricious. I'm sorry. It's a curse. Moving on, I think you're more qualified than me to discuss the subject considering your posts are normally of higher quality in relativity to your output & often stand heads & shoulders over 80% of the members across the forum. Not to mentione you're most likely older than me, so you have empiricism on your side, & if it's good enough for Immanuel Kant, it's good enough for me. I'm actually in the process of composing a thread to dicuss the top ten "Complete Package Performers" because your post was so stimulating. The only reason I would look down my nose at you, is if I was in a neck brace & we were stuck in a small elevator.

Hmm.thats fair enough chief, fair play to ya.I look forward to you starting the topic on the best all rounders/complete package.hopefully it will generate decent conversation. also for the record I am 33.I started watching in 1989 when Sky tv 1st began broadcasting in Ireland.my first exposure was the bust up of the Mega powers followed soon after by WM5(which has remained a sentimental fave) all this talk about Lawler makes me long for a fantasy match up of mine, which would ideally happen on a grand stage...Starrcade,GAB etc Jerry "The King" Lawler vs "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair for the NWA championship in a cage.

Yeah me too, I only finished it a few months ago but it's long and there are tons of stories that you forget when you're done reading. Best book I've ever read though. One of my favorite parts was that he praised Luger, as not many people seem to. A lot of people seem to put him in the Warrior category which I hate because he was VERY capable.

he was good AF....that's harsh on Brets part IMO. I agree. I think Bret was a little bit more negative to Lawler because Lawler worked quite stiffly with him. yeah. he said at the King of the Ring 1993 ambush,Lawler legitimately hurt him by hitting him full force with the scepter and throne, with no concern for his safety. then, again,at SummerSlam 1993, Lawler whacked Bret full force in the head with his crutch. Bret said he had enough, and potatoed Jerry at points throughout the match, and then when he put him in the sharpshooter,he put it on for real, and wretched back as far as he could.what makes it funny, though,is that Lawler wasn't too popular backstage at that point,so when a bunch of officials came out to "pry" Hart off of Lawler, they were actually pushing on Bret, putting MORE pressure on Lawler's back! Bret said he'll always remember the sight of Aaron Neville (who was there to sing the national anthem) laughing hysterically as a legit injured Lawler couldn't even stand up and was crawling on the floor like an alligator in excrutiating pain backstage!

LOL. yeah, right after he started in the WWF,a bunch of guys who felt screwed over by Lawler during their time in Memphis grabbed his crown while Lawler was away doing something and systematically took turns sh*tting in it and left it for him to find.
