Viewership data is in for Monday’s episode of WWE RAW – and it’s bad news all around. RAW’s average audience was 3,541,000 – down almost half a million viewers from the previous week. (Update: RAW drew a 2.65 rating, which ties the lowest rating of the year). By comparison, the NFL’s Monday Night Football game on ESPN between the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks did approximately 15.5 million viewers. For the second consecutive week, RAW lost viewership every hour throughout the show. Here are the hourly numbers: Hour 1: 3,616,000 Hour 2: 3,560,000 Hour 3: 3,447,000 The most-watched hour of this week’s show had fewer viewers than the least-watched hour of last week. To find an episode of RAW that did such a low number, you have to go back to Christmas Eve 2012. I hope WWE at least can see that there are major problems with the current product. The sad thing is that most of the problems can be fixed pretty easy, but they just keep doing things the wrong way. Since SummerSlam, Raw just seems to be getting worse and worse.

Bring the big colourful gimmicks back from the 80s. Kids love colourful characters. It isnt an 80s thing! Its just cartoon characters brought to life. No matter how good the wrestling is they are still boring to look at. If i was a kid i would totally be disheartened by todays WWE.
Imagine the power rangers without colourful outfits, kids would stop watching.

I work a graveyard shift, have for three years now. I used to wake up early to watch it live, grab an hour nap, then head to work.
But lately, for about the past month and a half to two months, I've thought it has been horrible. I just set my DVR, and watch it whenever... And I've watched WWE since I was three years old, for 25 years now I've been a fan. I can't believe how disinterested they've made me in the product.

I'm not watching every segment anymore due to the fact its just not interesting. I think a lot of others are doing the same, I tune into RAW for three segments, Real Americans, John Cena and Randy Orton, and Bad News Barrett.

Too bad. I liked this weeks episode on the whole. Not perfect.. some segments sucked, but I thought the workers generally did a good job in the matches... Liked that they decided to make the IC belt matter a little bit more.

Seriously though, when you over-saturate the product, throw in these horrible guest host comedy segments/music performances(seriously guys, this isn't late night Jimmy Fallon it's a wrestling program) and make the show 'paint by numbers' to the point where you don't even have to watch once they announce the line up what do you expect....Oh gee, two to four guys are arguing in the ring....okay Vickie, that's you 'excuse me!' cue....let's get that tag-team match/handicap going....oh darn, I really thought Cena was gonna fight Orton for the title now instead of at the PPV....totally didn't see them getting put in separate matches.....'oh look, we're gonna have a contract sighning....I wonder if weapons are going to be set up conveniently around the ring for the guys when they brawl....It's time to show that just because McMahon monopolized the wrestling industry that he just can't sleepwalk through his product and expect to sit back and count our money....

Its the drop in ratings that usually push creative in the WWE to make things interesting to pull in more viewers. Hoping for the best in the coming weeks...
