Does anybody know why Jakks Randomly decided to make TTLs again in 2008/2009? Thanks in advance

I don't know but I thought it was awesome. I like how they remade this old Jeff figure.

I didn't mind, it added fresh faces to my TTL collection however, I'm not sure why they did it.

They were cheap to make due to the limited deco, and they only used a few base molds for the most part, so they were cheap to produce, too. That's why they were able to make those 4-packs at TRU for a very low price.

I've actually been thinking about rebuilding my old TTL collection, and a lot of those late era cheap TTLs are gonna be on the list this time. I never bought any of those because I, like most, switched to RA long before. So when I begin to rebuild ( a "friend" of mine sold off a lot of my stuff while I was out of town) I fully intend to get a lot of those guys to beef up what I had before.

I think Jeremy had said at one point it was just to move some spare parts instead of throwing all the outdated molds away.
It was also why we got the BCA Backlash figures, cheap and easy to produce, and you can REALLY tell this by the last few Backlash sets.

I love that they did that since I love the ttl line. Randy Orton did look awkward though

They were clearing out old stock of parts. Same reason they made the BCA figures with newer heads and limited deco for so long.

They probably wanted to get rid of all the remaining parts sitting in the factories.

I never liked the newer ones. The heads didn't sit on them right compared to the old ones.

Did they ever stop making TTL? from what I remember that "backlash" series was always around.

It wasn't just in 08/09, they continued to make them since they started making the new form of figures. You could only really find them at like KB Toys and stuff, but they still made them.
