Seen about 5 different Magic the Gathering figures at Ross. 4.99 each, ddo they hold up at all? I wouldn't think so for that price but they're tempting, I like the sculpts.

Man... That scan isn't nearly as good as it looked in the proto shot with the Wall. Kind of a shame honestly. The attire turned out great. My Jon Snow should be here tomorrow or Friday from EE. I have another JS, Night King and Ghost pre-ordered through Amazon. I'll probably get the whole set eventually. Disappointed that Funko is half commited to these. The Legacy line got killed off and then Funko didn't give us any of the major missing characters like Cersei or Bran here either. So now we wait to see if these sell at all and then see if they keep to the area specific themes. I feel some of my bigger wants like Ned, Tywinn and Red Viper are not even a possibility with this smaller scale. Although I'd be intrigued to get Daario, Jorah and Grey Worm if they do a Meereen theme. Maybe they'd do dragons at that point. I wonder if there's some sort of a problem with making Cersei and Bran. Funko hasn't made them in Pop, Legacy, Mystery Mini, Dorbz, and now the articulated 3.75 inch figures. They're probably the two major characters that haven't been made in ANY line yet. When it comes to the 3.75" figures, I like them...but I think it was a misstep to do a themed wave like they did. I think they made too many "lesser" characters right off the bat. If you want to draw people in with a new line, you need Dany, Ned, The Hound, Arya, Jamie, and the like. Hell, they're making us buy the playset to get Tyrion, and he'd be a surefire seller on his own. I said that on the Funko boards. I just don't really understand why they went that route after knowing what they did about the Legacy line. Why not come out swinging with Dany, Tyrion, Jon, Arya, Jamie, Cersei, Bran, and then maybe do the Night King, Ghost, and maybe Ramsay or the Mountain. I just don't understand why they're creating lines that are 100% contingent on sales to continue but then they're giving us odd-ball figures like Styr. Tormund and Ygritte are awesome, and I'll happily buy both, but even those are weird ones over more popular characters like Ned, Khal Drago, Tywinn, or Joffrey. I'm just going to buy them all and support the line. This could go an easy 4 or 5 waves before a good bulk of the characters I want are crossed off, but I don't see them going that far. 6" figures are the rage and the smaller scale figures are shelf warming and now Funko is moving to the smaller scale because the 6'' didn't move. So if we get two waves I'm expecting that to be a win. This is the problem with smaller toy companies. Someone like Hasbro or Mattel can commit to something like this to keep it going. Funko is paycheck-to-paycheck. You might be onto something about Cersei and Bran but maybe it's like River from Firefly or Bran from Goonies. Companies just keep making the other figures first and when they don't sell they never get to that next group of characters.

They're nice figures but Funko's Legacy line should be used for display and not play imo. They used cheap plastic on the bulk of their Game of Thrones and Firefly figures. So wrists and accessories broke easily. I don't know anything about Magic though so I never got those particular figures. I was going to pick up that tiger looking thing. For $5 I still would.

Perhaps Funko decided to go with background characters in the 3.75" line because they DID do all popular characters in the Legacy line and they STILL sold poorly. Maybe the though is..."well, let's try this then". I would agree when it comes to Legacy (sold poorly), Dorbz (line just started), and the 3.75" line (also just started)...but there's virtually no reason not to have made them in the Pop or Mystery Mini lines unless they simply can't at this point.

Yeah, that's totally weird. I would guess if we don't see something at SDCC you've probably hit the nail on the head. You could be right about Funko's approach. I know Reis said they would rather take a risk on something like Golden Girls than do another wave of something like Star Trek knowing it wouldn't sell. I don't think two wrongs make a right, but they seem to be throwing sh*t at the wall to see what sticks. I just really want this line to do well and for various reasons the Funko stuff has really struggled. I'm hoping this is their homerun. I like the mystery minis, the WWE ones are freaking awesome, and POPs are great for what they are, but none of that compares to having a deep action figure line for me.

I absolutely love the ReAction figures and I'm already a fan of the 3.75" style they've started with GoT. I also like the FNAF figures, and I was a fan of several of the Legacy figures (especially the Rocketeer and the GoT figures)...but at some point, I think Funko is going to have to admit that they're not an action figure company. They're a vinyl figure company. I know the success of Pops, Mystery Minis, and Dorbz allows them to do weird off the wall stuff like MyMoji and the Pop pens....but for some reason, people as a whole don't want to give their action figure lines as much love as they deserve.

Not ReAction. ReAction are the static 5 POA figures with ReAction branding. Game of Thrones and these other figures are general 3.75" "fully posable action figures". It's a different line. Those are probably the best looking ReAction figures yet. Most have oversized heads, but those look to scale.

Man, those look freaking great. I didn't even know Legions of Collectors was a thing. I would love those figures. I'm guessing they'll be getting released in a normal wave though, or at least something similar. I'd buy Harley, Joker and Batman for sure. Nice that Funko could get a property like Suicide Squad. I guess that's reflective of Mattel not wanting to be in the 3 and 3/4" business.

I'm hoping these see a wide release and it's not one of those deals where Funko could only make them as long as they were in a subscription box and not for retail release. I'd definitely get the whole Squad if they make it to retail.

PJ punksnotdeadReis confirmed that the Suicide Squad figures are only going to be sold in the sub boxes. It's a direct market loophole...but they still can't sell them at retail.

Thanks for the information. No problem. I was worried about that. It's the same reason why NECA has to sell the video game TMNT figures in a boxed set at SDCC. The only good news is that with as many sub boxes get sold, the contents can USUALLY be found for a decent price. I know I've picked up some bits and bobs from past Loot Crates for a steal before.

Damn... that definitely sucks. But yeah, thanks for letting us know. I may try and pick the pair up off of eBay if I can find them at reasonable price. Cool that those two are out in the world but a shame that's all the deeper they'll get to go with the property.

All the LOC stuff is 100% exclusive so even if they were to release something down the road it would be slightly different. Honestly the boxes are worth the POP vinyl alone to me.

The Legacy line is no more (for all properties). Going forward the GoT line is all 9 POA 3.75" figures.
