My TRU had these today... They had... Escape from NY - Both Snake Plissken figures
Terminator - all minus Kyle and Sarah
BttF - just Doc
Firefly - One or two characters
And they also had Dr Who figures that looked to be in this scale, but they were in a different style and card design. so I'm not sure if they were from Funco also.
I picked up the Snake without the jacket.

My walmart in Charlotte NC had the aliens Reaction figures in a display with the Rocketeer. Up near the magic and pokemon cards.

They have these at my local TRU for 11.99 I think it is an absolute joke. I can spend 11.99 and get theses, which look like they are cake toppers, or I can get a wwe Basic figure, or I can get 2 Greenlight cars or M2 cars. Or I can spend another 9 dollars and get a Neca Pacific rim Jager.

would I love for my Snake Plissken to be a fully detailed and articulated Kurt Russell? Sure, I would. But I just think they are a fun homage to the late 70's and early 80's Star Wars action figures.

Yeah, people don't generally grasp that concept when they first see the Re-Action figures from what I gather. They are like that on purpose and i think they are an awesome novelty because of it. I had a ton of Star Wars figures in the late 80s and getting stuff like Snake and Mal in that form is just so cool imo. That being said, I do hope Funko can get us a Legacy version of Snake at some point.

I got the SDCC Vince and Jules exclusives, so I won't have to bother with the regular versions when they're released. I'm a sucker for anything Pulp Fiction - I even bought those NECA geom things, and I'll probably end up getting all of the reaction figs - apart from the gimp. I have no desire to own a gimp figure in any form. As a rule, I don't buy figs in this scale, because the way I look at it, anything smaller than 5/6 inches is pointless. Although, I do want the SDCC exc Superman shirt, Sloth. would I love for my Snake Plissken to be a fully detailed and articulated Kurt Russell? Sure, I would. But I just think they are a fun homage to the late 70's and early 80's Star Wars action figures. Then they should be 70's/80's prices, lol. Also, do you not have the McFarlane Plissken?

Nope other than SP the only other older McFarlane figures I have are the 1st Spawn figure and a Crow (although after 2 moves I have no idea where he is) I was never a big fan of the statue type articulation. I want to be able to pose them how I want them to stand on my shelves. Which is normally just your basic vanilla heroic stance, bit I still want the option. I might get that new Neca one with cloth clothing if I see it locally.

I found a SDCC Exclusive Reaction see through Predator w/ neon green blood splatter today at a local store called Hastings. They also had a black and white Rocketeer. I was also able to finish out my Terminator and Firefly sets.
Also, I've not read anything about this anywhere else, but I have two versions of the T800 from the Terminator series. I have one that is a matte grey (this one I've seen several places) and I also have a chrome/shiny T800 that I've not seen anywhere else. Anyone know if there is a value difference in the two?

I was at a TRU yesterday and saw both versions. There were multiples of both, so I just assumed it was more of a preference thing. I am looking around on the Funko forums to see if there is a value difference. If there was, I'd assume the chrome one would be worth more since it closely matches the on-screen version. My TRU was stocked well with these last night. Multiples of Plissken, everyone minus Sarah Connor from Terminator, then a few Washburnes, Reynolds and one Cobb from Firefly. Wash is tempting especially with the dinosaurs haha

It's Escape from LA, not Escape from NY so it doesn't have the brown jacket. The coat off looks really good though. It's more of a statue. NECA's upcoming Snake figure looks to be amazing and that's a definite buy for me in the 8 inch scale.

Yes I will get the Neca one with cloth clothing. I want the Ash one also. I picked up another Snake today and cut off the head. Then hollowed it out and put it on a Joe body. Now I need to paint it.
The Sideshow Snake looks pretty sweet as well

one thing to grasp, too : not only were these done in the old Kenner style for the nostalgic value of giving us figures like they would've been if they came out in the 80's, it also allows most of these licences to be used because ,with the vagueness of the headsculpts, they don't need to aquire likeness rights to go along with the property licences. so more detailed, more realistic sculpts likely would've meant no Ripley, Ash,Marty McFly, George McFly, T-800's,etc., cause all those rights,if you can even get them, are super-expensive. just ask NECA or Hot Toys.

They are a throw back to the old Kenner figures that many of us grew up with. I had a couple of pickups this weekend: I picked up another SDCC blood splattered Predator exclusive because my original one had a crease on the package: I'm willing to trade the SDCC Predator for any ReAction that I don't have if anyone is interested.

Can you remember how much these where when you were a kid? I honestly don't remember seeing these as a kid. I think that even if I had seen them as a kid I woudnt have been interested because of their size. WWF Ljns are giants compared to these, so I can picture my mom telling me to take the bigger toy and not the smaller one. Plus as a kid I remember caring about articulation, which is why I love GI Joes. Joes had lots of articulation compared to the wrestling figures I had and the Heman figures I had as a kid.

where did you find the Crow figure? I ordered The Crow from eBay. He is only releasing regionally with the weather vane and I wanted to make sure that I got the complete figure. He was 11.99 with free shipping, so I paid essentially what I would have paid in a store.

I was surprised to see Target set up an endcap with Funko and Mcfarlane products. I haven't gotten out to the stores much, lately. Maybe this is old news? They had Walking Dead, Assasins Creed, Magic the Gathering, Got, and ReAction. That's cool, but they kind of botched it. They got the last waves of TWD & GoT, when the new ones are right around the corner. I have a feeling they're going to warm pegs and give Target a reason to think they're lousy sellers. At least if they were new, collectors would snap up the first box or two. Then, they only had Firefly ReAction. I liked the show, but it's probably their least known license. The Magic figures are pricey, $25. IMO, they feel better made than GoT. The pegs don't seem to be made of that damn clear plastic.
