Actually, I have to say, WWE normally has stuff for Die-hard wrestling fans as of late. There's normally at least one segment or match on RAW that will appeal to the straight up wrestling fans. Even if, you don't seem to be looking far. If you have three hours to devote to watching RAW, watch NXT. That show is a wrestling fan's wet dream. It's amazing most weeks. Love it! NXT is by far the best wrestling program on air right now. The females on that show kill it!! Far better than RAW and smackdown. It's been fun watching everyone get called up. Come on Sasha Banks! Her and Summer Rae can rehash LayCool (hey, I can dream right?!)

I would love a BFF v Laycool feud at some point. Even if it was very brief.

Its really difficult to tell what wrestling fans want these days. I mean I, and many others, thought last nights Raw was great then so many people didn't like it. Same thing happens with TNA. People want storylines, or more talking, or more wrestling, or less wrestling, etc, etc. WWE is in a position to do what's best for them, not what the smarks want. TNA is just happy to still be around. They both do a good job with alot of things, but also have some real duds imo. I think it hurts that wrestling isnt as popular, and that fans want instant gratification now, that is part of the perceived problem.

I'm in a weird spot right now. WWE is putting out great wrestling on a weekly basis, on nearly every single show. That's great, and it shouldn't be overlooked.
My biggest issue is the lack of development, story and purpose. These great matches (and rematches) only go so far. I can't be truly invested in great matches week after week if there's absolutely no purpose behind them, and really, there's very little purpose to anything WWE does right now.

Watch other companies. There are many different companies that are awesome, just give some of them a chance.

What's sad is how cynical & whinny most wrestling fans are. And what even sadder is there are some out there that instead of watching the show to try and enjoy it, they watch so they can tear it apart & complain the next day. Just saying.
For the record, I thought the show was pretty good last night.

PWG is the best wrestling company out there. Bar none. - Bryan is in no mans land with the Wyatts. The best thing that can happen now is he knee's Wyatt's head off to win the Rumble, then goes on to win the title at Mania. Will that happen? Not over Cena's alive body, and WWE clearly dont think Bryan can do it by himself. We're likely getting a "Cena shows Bryan the light" deal leading to a Yes chant with Cena/Bryan at Mania. Great. Bryan wont be quite as popular as before, BECAUSE he turned. Briefly, but he showed he can be swayed. Just like Austin turning back after the InVasion. It betrays the audience's trust. They loved him as the underdog. Cena is still so popular because he's NEVER been swayed. Hogan wouldn't have been swayed in 87. Agree with the part about him swaying so much. He may get out of this, become a face again, but he was in such an early, now fragile stage of being a top guy and they did this way too soon... They literally capped Bryan off as "almost the champion" or "almost the guy" and even if he becomes champion again (Which I'm sure he will unless someone is deadset on killing his career), he will never have the unanimous support and reactions he had now. I mean, yeah Orton was an evil heel and beat up Stephanie in 2009, then was heavily cheered in 2010, but he wasn't unanimously cheered for by everyone in the audience. Same with Edge being heel from 2004-2009 then being cheered when he came back in 2010, it wasn't like Bryan's reaction. He will never be "the guy," and I wasn't expecting that. I was not expecting Bryan to main event Wrestlemania 30, but I hoped that maybe WWE would give him this one. Just like how Benoit closed out Wrestlemania 20. I don't know, I like to believe this is just conspiracy theories but do people in the back in WWE really think to themselves "___ is getting too over, we gotta kill it now!" ? I'd like to think they just thought they knew how to handle Zack Ryder. But who knows. There's no way out of it. All I really watch for is to see Cesaro, Ziggler, Punk, Rhodes and Bryan wrestle. And NXT to see the occasional Regal or Hawkins match, and whenever Tyson Kidd appears. I don't know what else is left?

I was going to ask if everybody thought there was just too much wrestling on the shows now. I know it sounds ridiculous, but they really need more sports entertaining! There are just too many matches to fill up time - we seem to get six man tags every show now. None of the matches feel special, even if it's too guys working their asses off in the ring. They haven't given us any reason to care about who wins. And yet the are pushing yet another Cena/Orton match as a big deal, while the fans sit on their hands.

WWE definitely has gone downhill in recent years, but there are always alternatives. And if you don't like it, don't watch it This

I know what you mean about being frustrated with the WWE (or maybe it's wrestling in general). Sometimes also it can be some of the fans that cheese me off too.
But I go and watch some of the older wrestling matches, or check out a lot of wrestling from Japan (Mainly Big Japan, but you could also give New Japan a go, I heard people saying it's really great right now), and I may not be able to understand the language, but the stories make more sense than all of the stuff in TNA & most of the stuff in WWE.
If you want to take a break, it's really all up to you, I'd say check out some stuff from Japan, Mexico, or even Indy promotions in America & Canada, there's plenty of options before your choices dry up, heck maybe even re-watch some of the stuff you remember fondly, or check out some of the highly rated classics. But like I said, it's all up to you what you want to do.

If you don't like that then go on a website that you can watch ROH, there are tons of more options right now then WWE. You just have got to give everything a chance and find something you like. Why does Impact Wrestling have an aerial shot of the Wrestlemania 27 arena as it's background LOL

Well, IMO things started to go downhill back in 2011 when Triple H announced that WWE Brand Extension would be ending. WWE Brand Extension gave Superstars and Divas more TV time and storylines however when it became evident that the WWE wanted to focus it's attention on Social Media as explained in this article: Source: PW Torch pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_News_3/article_68058.shtml#.UsMtZ9JDuSoOne reason why WWE's brand split has unofficially been scrapped is because WWE wants their content to flow across TV and online platforms, according to WWE Creative executive Stephanie McMahon.
"We are all telling the same stories. And digital and social offer the ability to continue storylines 24/7 so our fans can consume the content anytime, anywhere on the device they prefer," McMahon told AdAge.com in a story profiling top media executives under the age of 40.
With WWE increasing their emphasis on digital and social media, Stephanie suggested that the brand split caused blockages. Stephanie also said that WWE wants the content to flow in anticipation of launching a Network.
As for removing herself from television years ago, Stephanie said it "just got to be too much" overseeing Creative behind-the-scenes, being on TV, and starting to have children with Triple H.Another thing was WWE's increased use of part-timers when The Rock helped boost WrestleMania 27's buyrates back in 2011. Believing that The Rock's presence could help boost PPV buys and TV ratings, Vince McMahon decided to bring back Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker as they have proved track records. As a result, the three main events of WrestleMania 29, featured four part-timers (The Rock, Lesnar, Undertaker, and Triple H) whereas most of the WWE's mid-card and Divas were left off the card. The reason, part-timers as well as John Cena and CM Punk draw, most of the mid-card do not. Just my two cents.

Mix WWE with CZW. The hardcore and the botches of CZW makes you appreciate WWE quite a lot.

I think we (IWC) take are opinions way to seriously in the sense that we don't realize we only make up a percentage of viewers for WWE and I would say that even though most of use here hate it enough people that follow wrestling enjoy what's going on enough for WWE to still be making a good chunk of change. Even during the AE the IWC was bitching about stuff constantly, we just need to face the fact that we are just a bunch of whiny bitches.

That we have so many die-hard wrestling fans, and there isn't a product out there on television that isn't straight up garbage. I feel the only reason I try and watch the WWE anymore is because that's all we've got. It sucks this is what we get, and we can't do anything to change it. You know what you sound like? A little bitch.
