Awhile ago I painted a pair of black elbow and knee pads I had white, but when I tried putting them on, they were VERY stiff, how do I paint them and not make them stiff?

use arcrylic paint dont put the paint on thick use a thin coat and if you need another one the n use another coating they sholdint be hard alos use a sealer so the paint dosint come off
