I recall reading about their high school house shows a while back. It was hilarious then and it's still hilarious now.

Weren't fans calling TNA out about booking arenas too big for their house shows? Now, it's going to be an issue that they aren't running those big venues. I'm just saying that instead of booking a 5,000-10,000 seated venue for a house show.. why not take the live events where fans wouldn't normally see a show.

I dont think it is an issue. Why book a big arena when you just wont sell it out. Save money, and create a better atmosphere in a smaller area.

Atmosphere will still be good.

I seem to recall several years ago WWE considering doing the same with a few events, though I don't think they ever did.

Damn that is sad.
I wonder how much they even made that day in ticket sales?

Per reddit, this is ROH running in the same venue:

Yup and Sting was on the show and they could only draw 300 fans. I'm a huge TNA fan and supporter, but this is pretty sad and pathetic. Place isn't even sold out

I was at the Extreme Rising show last month at the old Philly ECW arena and they got near 1000, 300 people is awful for the 2nd wrestling company in the world espically when one of the biggest names of all time Sting is on the show. Its crazy that Sting would rather wrestle in front of 300 people in a high school gym rather than 70,0000 against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Last summer, TNA scheduled a house show for the Matthew Knight Arena (where the University of Oregon Ducks play basketball) in these parts... Which seats just over 12,000 people. They canceled it a week before the show, citing a "scheduling conflict". I had guessed it was actually because they didn't sell enough & would lose a tons of money between the arena fees & the travel coming out to the west coast. I was disappointed, as I had front row for that one!

I knew TNA was in bad shape, but OMG I didn't know they were in so bad shape that they couldn't even sell out a high school gym. And to top off this joke, Sting was on the card as well. That makes it even more sadder IMO.

My first ever live show was the WWF in 1993, at a local high school fieldhouse. I returned to the venue 10 years later to attend a home show. I bought a squeegee mop. I forgot my original point.

Just hope they can last long enough to get to the UK tour, I'm going to 3 out of 4 events so I'd love my tickets to be honoured!
