Was just reading about this its not on the schedule yet but fox has ordered a pilot of a young 12 year old bruce wayne and also a lot of his enemies like joker penguin as young counterparts. At the final episode wayne will put on his batsuit. So basiclly its a Smallville but with batman characters. I personally dont think it will work out. What is your thoughts?

I'm all for it but I'm a little confused. I would expect this show to be on a WB network, how in the world was Fox able to obtain this show. I'm not good at understanding all the legal copyrights mumbo jumbo.

I'm growing a little tired of the over-exposure of superheroes, to be honest. Films are one thing, crossing over into television is another.
Plus, if it looks like all recent network TV dramas (two dimensional and flooded with light for the sake of cheaper productions costs), count me out. It works okay for comedies, but it's so hard for me to get invested in a drama that looks like a soap opera.

Most Batman villains were created or a result of Wayne becoming Batman. I love Batman but this is a terrible idea.

I guess I'm in the minority on this, but the show sounds FANTASTIC! Can't wait to see the pilot.

I will watch it, but it should be more about Bruce traveling the globe learning his trade while maybe solving/stopping crimes of low level no named criminals along the way. Even if they want to change his back story and keep him in Gotham learning his trade there certainly shouldn't be his "Rogues Gallery" on the show. That just makes no sense.

The original plan which was supposed to be around Gordan and the police force I thought, sounded great. This sounds like a crappy cartoon network kids cartoon.

I call BS. WB is VERY protective of Batman and Bruce Wayne. I cant see them allowing this. They also do not believe that one form of Batman can exist at the same time as another. Clearly we have the Ben Affleck Batman around.

Correct. The limitations they placed on The Batman when the Nolans movies were in vogue were incredible. if anyone believes that The Joker will feature on Fox? they are insane. If this was on CW I would half believe it but no way does WB rent out their cash cows to Fox. I said the same thing when I heard this was gonna be a cop show about Gordon. DONT expect any heavy hitters outside the WB shack.

The president of Fox TV said yesterday that the show will predominantly follow a younger Jim Gordon, we'll see origins of the likes of The Joker, Penguin and The Riddler and for some odd reason he said the final episode of the first season, if it gets an order, will show Batman putting on the cape and cowl for the first time. If we have to sit through 22 episodes of a child Bruce Wayne to get a live action Batman series, I'm all for it!

But not on Fox. DC aint going bankrupt, they dont need to lease out their property IE Marvel and X-Men/Spiderman/Daredevil, etc.

I suppose we will have to wait and see but why on Earth would WB allow this? Even if Fox did pay mega bucks? like I say I will be pleasantly surprised if true.
