I'm watching The Amzaing Spider-Man on TV and the sequel coming out this summer, I think Andy Garfield is better in my honest opinion. Your opinions?

Tobey Maguire, and it's not even close.
Garfield's entire personification of the character is the antithesis of what Peter Parker is all about. Even his girlfriend (Emma Stone) said he sucked as Spiderman.

Tobey Maguire was a perfect Spiderman. Andrew Garfield is what happens when douchebags get a hold of Spiderman.

Topher Grace should've been cast as Peter Parker.

Andrew Garfield. I thought Tobey McGuire was great and that Garfield would be a terrible replacement but I was wrong. Not only did I enjoy Garfield's performance so much better, it actually made me end up hating Tobey McGuire as Spider-Man.

Tobey Maguire is true embodiment of "Spider-man"
look, he's socially awkward, no chick is trying/would try to date him, makes more sense that he's living with his grandparents, and he's a loser, which works for him
with Garfield, it DOESN'T WORK how are WE, the viewers, supposed to take this version of Spiderman seriously if has women trying to "S" his "D" every which way he turns, because he's out of place in this film
imo

I mean christ, what an awful film ASM was.

For as terrible as that is, it's still better than Andrew Garfield. 10fold.

Garfield's Spider-Man/Parker was way better for my taste.

Seeing I grew up in the 70's I'll go with the first live action Spider-Man...Nicholas Hammond. Sure watching this show or the Reb Brown Captain America now they are very cheesy, but back in the day they were awesome. lol Of the modern movies I have to go with Toby. The last movie I really didn't like at all.

Tobey Maguire to me was a better Peter Parker, but The Amazing Spider Man was a better overall movie.

Garfield. I never, at any point, was ok with Maguire as Spider-man. I think the Raimi films had some atrocious casting in general. I still enjoyed the second film though, despite all my issues with the characters.
It depends on what version of the character you want to see. I like that Garfield brought some of the wise cracking, smartass, attitude. He's got a chip on his shoulder, while being a bit of an bunghole outcast, and he has charisma that Maguire as an actor just doesn't possess imo. My expectation with Garfield was minimal and I ended up really enjoying him in the role. TASM blew all 3 of Raimi's films away within the first viewing for me personally.
