Can somebody give me the backstory about the Classic Superstars 3 Pack with Jake, Andre, and Big John Studd where Andre only has the 1 strap? Thanks.

It was a rare variant, the majority were released with two straps. It went for big dollars back in the day on the auction sites.

I wouldn't know what it goes for today considering the decline of the JAKKS figure market. You can basically get any Classic Superstar or Ruthless Aggression figure for under 50 dollars USD today MOC.

I looked on the auction site, and there aren't any. I guess you could list it as a rare variant for a 100 dollars?

I remember it being such a big deal when I got it. Like only 12 made or something. It's a shame that Jakks have lost their value.

from what I remember, awhile back when CS line was in demand. someone on here, said Jake Roberts wife was selling these variants on ebay. for like only $20. then she realized how much they were really worth, then asked for more. not too sure, how much this story holds truth....but jakks did give a lot of proto figures to superstars, like a case full. so it can hold some truth. sorry for going abit off topic, I think it should fetch a nice amount. being jakks collectors are still out there. take a chance, best of luck. Yeah I bought it from Jake's wife. I believe I paid 45 dollars for it.

I was one of the lucky ones who got the set from jakes ex wife as well. thats the story I was told back then too. I no longer have the set and never hear much about it. With only "12" its hard to say how many people even know about the set or what the demand would be now that mattel has taken over.

The jake's wife story was the most common explaination for them. No reason not to believe them. I do find it hard to believe that only 12 are around. I do believe that they are extremely limited, but not as low as 12.
