But that's the thing. They ARE toys aren't they? They're meant to be played with.......... ...so everyone in their 20's/30's/40's should be playing with their figures? Maybe not playing, but why not opening? When I think MOC, I think maximizing resale value or collection value. I wonder sometimes if MOC collectors are more concerned with this than enjoying the figures.

I wonder sometimes if MOC collectors are more concerned with this than enjoying the figures. ...I think this is a (very) common misconception loose collectors have with MOC ones - that we "can't" enjoy the figures as much or properly because we don't open them... or that we must be keeping them to sell-on. The truth is, like many collectors - we don't "play" with the figures - so would much rather display/collect the overall product - including the (awesome!) packaging, instead of just the loose figure. There's nothing like a brand new figure in a brand new box/card. (...and yes, I've seen Toy Story 2, lol)

Oh - definitely, if that's what you want to do with them. It's just a bit tiresome when fellow collectors say we (MOC'ers) should open them or aren't enjoying them... I mean it's completely up to the individual what/how he wants to collect (most people would probably think that "grown" adults shouldn't be buying toys in the first place!).

I'll say it again, they are TOYS! Do with them what you will, but basically ANY toy, unless it is a collector's edition/limited production piece, is geared towards children. And my MOC collection is almost as extensive as my loose collection. It's like buying a car, and not driving it, just because you are a collector of cars, and you keep yours in mint as possible condition. But at the end of the day, why did they make the car in the first place? To drive the damn thing.......

That blows. How does the headscan look in person? In pictures, I didnt really like the scan. When I bought it, I intended on swapping the head with another Jericho. The scan really does look better in person. The way they did the hair is fantastic

RSC doesn't make the figures, so I don't see why this would not look good for them? I would call/email them and if it goes no where, call Mattel. Vouchers can only be used in stores, not online. Did if not mean to sound rude, I've just NEVER had this happen with a retail purchased figure, yet these keep popping up on the forum from RSC orders. It's weird and concerns me, that's all I've bought every Elite figure from series 8 to now from Ringside and never had this happen before.

Basically: yes, toys are (mostly) geared towards children to be played with... so why should adult collectors care if other adult collectors open their figures or not? It just seems like such a double-standard... if you're an adult, it's more acceptable to open/play with the figures - but not keep them MOC? We're basically all in the same boat here, so shouldn't really be throwing stones at other collectors.

If you buy wrestling figures to stick up your own ass, who cares? Again, as I said, do with them what you want.

Contact Ringside. The best thing to do since they sold it to you.

It wasn't meant as a personal jibe (sorry) - I was just talking about the loose collectors who frown on MOC ones or say we can't enjoy it.... can't we all just get along?

I have a loose and MOC display, and I play with a few of my figures, so I get to enjoy all aspects of collecting wrestling figures. And no, sadly, we can't get along, because 90% of the members (not saying you) on this forum are pricks...
