Real or work, I just laughed out loud, hysterically, at Ryback's tweet.
This is the first time in nearly a year that I can say "Ryback Rules" and mean it.

You know there were reports a week or so ago that WWE planned to revisit the Summer of Punk storyline. Leading to a feud with Triple H that would culminate at WM. Now let's just say those reports are true... That could be exactly what is happening right now. And maybe WWE is blurring the lines much like they did last time? Just a thought. I'm with you on this - I remember that report too. Plus - if Punk really were done with WWE, what else would he do? If he's upset about being the #2 or #3 guy in the world's top promotion - does anyone really think he'd lower himself to being the top guy at a low-rent promotion like TNA? Plus, I doubt TNA could afford to pay him whatever money he'd want to go there, at this point.... TNA's still making roster cuts to save money. The timing is almost too perfect - it's WrestleMania season, time for things to get interesting.... the more I read, the more I think they're working us over....

CM Punk is such a whiny little bitch. Every time he doesn't get his way he threatens to quit....I guess they finally called his bluff. I'm glad he's gone. Well, he's not the only person ever to get sick of their job and quit and move on with their lives. Now, he did seem like a big crybaby who fussed too much, but he also had good reason to complain about a lot of the stuff. So there are two sides to this. From what a lot of ex-employees have said, the WWE doesn't seem like the greatest place to work. Even people who enjoyed their time there seemed to have to deal with a lot of crap.

I have pictures with lots of people on my page. So? In addition, I have been a LONG TIME CM Punk fan. I still have DVDs from when he was working Dominion and weighed all of 150lbs. But over the past couple of years he has become a hypocrite and a whiner. Tired of hearing him moan about how tough his life is. He chose this life. He chose every part of it. And he is compensated VERY well for it. He craps all over The Rock for not working every show, but praises UT who worked less dates than Rock did last year. In his most recent interview he stated how much he loved having Batista back and it wasnt the same as Rock returning b/c Batista came back for the long haul. Yet now he is ticked that Batista won the Rumble? Also in that last interview he mentioned how he will reserve his judgment on the WWE Network till he gets his royalty check. No one blames him for wanting money. No one blames him for wanting financial security. But you were blasting Rock, b/c in your opinion he came back for the money, yet you make a statement like that?! And its no secret that Rock didnt come back for the money. Simple mathematics. WWE cant pay enough to Rock remotely what he is making on a feature film. #1 grossing actor at the box office last year. Top 5 for return on investment. I miss the old CM Punk. That is actually a well thought out and educated answer. Fair Enough... Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to read what I had to say and not just bitch on here like a lot of people tend to do. Yeah...its called I dont make excuses for guys I like. I call it like it is. I'm a Punk fan that is willing to call him out on his faults. I dont pretend its something else just b/c I am a fan of his work. I dont let my personal bias' cloud my opinions. OK, well thanks for explaining it in-depth. I think most people, when viewing that original tiny post, would probably assume that you just disliked Punk in general, hence the confusion. I can understand that. I will tell you, my fandom for him has definitely waned over the years due to numerous things he has said, tweeted, etc. Showstopper is just bitter that Punk called people like him out for waiting in airports in Punks Vegas promo. Yup. Thats what it is. Has nothing to do with anything else. I have pictures with lots of people on my page. So? In addition, I have been a LONG TIME CM Punk fan. I still have DVDs from when he was working Dominion and weighed all of 150lbs. But over the past couple of years he has become a hypocrite and a whiner. And its no secret that Rock didnt come back for the money. Simple mathematics. WWE cant pay enough to Rock remotely what he is making on a feature film. #1 grossing actor at the box office last year. Top 5 for return on investment. I miss the old CM Punk. The Rock is also 7 years younger than Taker and has had less than a third of the full time career length of Taker(8 years compared to 26). Even Punk's in ring career was longer than his up to that point and he is 6 years younger. It was Batista's first match back and he was gassed with in the first 2 of the 12 minutes he was in the match. Batista looked like crap and shouldn't be given jack sh*t until he gets in shape as that performance was pathetic. Just because he might be friends with Batista doesn't mean he needs to like the fact he is getting a push. Supposedly he is also friends with Rock. Punk wrestles night in and night out so he can make it those statements about the WM paycheck as he and the rest of the full time roster have to work their a** off to be able to receive that paycheck and make it on that card. Would you be happy if you got a pay cut if your job made a change that would cause that or if some one came out of retirement and took an up coming promotion out from under you? Because if you wouldn't be happy about that, than YOU are the hypocrite. I am not saying the Rock is here for the pay check but I also don't recall that being Punk's gripe about the situation. His gripe with the Rock has always seemed to be with the fact that Rock was spoon fed the main event when he wasn't there for the long haul. Not a thing that you have state that Punk said is in anyway hypocritical and it is laughable to think such. WWE is a BUSINESS. They are in it to make money. Rock=MONEY. Its not spoon feeding. Its also professional wrestling. Its not fair. It never will be fair. Koko B. Ware was busting his ass on the road for years on years. Do you think he should have main evented WM at some point? Punk does work a ton of shows. He does battle injuries. And life on the road can be horrid at times. But its not all bad. You know it. I know it. He knows it. Also like in life....it isnt always fair. He who deserves it the most doesnt always get it. He who works the hardest doesnt always get to main event WM. Right now, there is NO ONE who deserves to main event WM more than Daniel Bryan. No one has a bigger gripe than he either. And yet.....I dont see him packing up and going home. Its a piss poor way to handle it. Play out your contract and hit the road when you are done. Leave WWE and tell them you are better than they are. Go out and make a ton of money in Japan and the indys and do it on your time table with your ideas. SHOW them....you dont need them. Everything he has bitched and whined about is hypocritical that I mentioned. The money most specifically. Where's my royalty check? CM Punk is such a whiny little bitch. Every time he doesn't get his way he threatens to quit....I guess they finally called his bluff. I'm glad he's gone. Love it!

if it's all true, i'm very disappointed in punk's choice but i also understand his grievance, or at least the assumed grievance. he's seemed not 'really there' since his feud with heyman ended, only briefly being excited at times when he's putting someone over. if it's true, this is like the screwjob all over again for me only there's no wcw...which i guess is a good thing, considering what they did with bret there.
if it's all fake, massive kudos to wwe. i'd call it easily the biggest work in the history of the wwe.
either way, punk better return as he's the only major reason i watch. i'll still tune in, but i won't be so adamant about seeing it week to week.

I still say this can't possibly be real - partly because it's not like the WWE has been publicizing this the way they did when he was supposed to "quit" in 2011, and mainly because I just don't think anyone in the WWE is this creative.

Either way it's creating a huge buzz. If it's just a work it's an epic one.

I've left good paying, secure jobs because of situations where advancement was almost impossible and the work environment aka people in charge were making me increasingly unhappy. If this story is real, then I tip my hat to Punk for turning his back on the WWE's money and hope he can find what he wants elsewhere.

Let CM Bitch leave. Honestly. There's plenty of people that not only deserve his spot, but would gladley be in it and keep their mouth shut. Punk isn't humble. The worst part, is after all this time, he has become his character. Like Hogan, he can't turn the switch off. His ego has become him. So what, you didn't win the rumble. So what, you're not in the title picture. Vince let you have over a year run with the belt. You have cemented your name in the books. What else could he want? He wanted to hang the boots at 35, well, hang them the up. He has fans that just want to go to a show, and cheer him. Win lose or draw, His fans just want to see him. The fact that he is selfishly walking off a show is rediculouse. Not only is that a slap to the face of his fans, but a slap to the company and Vince. Here's a live show, and you walk off. Here's a man who invested time and production into your character and you say it. I hope Punk leaves. Better yet, I hope he gets fired. And I want Orton to come out on Raw dressed as him, entrance theme and all, just like they did to Jeff Hardy! I was a fan of Punk. But his bitching on the internet as of late has lost my interist. His bungholeness at meet and greets has turned me away from him. At this point, i don't see why people like him. This should show, that its all about Punk, not his fans. you Punk!

Hmmm....I'll wait for more, concrete information to come out before I make any official judgments on this, but if true, that sucks.

If Punk wants to headline WM, he's handling it exactly the right way: by quitting, walking out on the WWE, returning four years later for a Rumble win and a WWE title match as headliner of Wrestlemania.

This is the only site I'm reading where there's a glimmer of hope that this is just some elaborate work. If this is legit Punk will probably get the Macho Man cold shoulder from now until eternity

What's ironic, is that if Punk really does leave, I guarantee that he'll be back in a couple years and thrust into a major feud just like Rock, Brock, and Batista

I don't know. This doesn't have the "Austin took his ball & went home" type feel to me. You knew that was legit. It feels like a work to me. The WWE unfriended him on twitter? Am I suppose to read into that? Because I'm not. I'm not saying I don't like the direction this is going, if it turns out to be a work. It could lead to something great.
