Punk thinks TNA sucks. You really think he would go there? I think he'd be content to be a huge fish in a small pond (ROH). Or just take some time off, but maybe he was unhappy with the booking for the Rumble (along with the future booking). I thought it was weird that he wasn't on Raw. I hope it's a work; I'd be sad if they lost him.

If true then I'm probably done for a little bit. Fan of many guys but Punk is honestly the only reason I watch a Raw each week outside Bryan. Quite watching Smackdown years ago.

I knew something was off. I mean, no mention of him at all on Raw? No storyline advancement in their 3 hour show? real crapyall

God this sucks. I'm guessing he got his WM plans laid out for him. Ive got little hope that they'll do right by Bryan either. Just awful. I can't believe i won't be watching Mania this year...

I wrote a much more long-winded response to this on my site, but basically... I think it's a work.

My guess is that this isn't true, but if it isn't, I'd be pretty upset. Really liked him.
...his figures and his DVD are awesome too....

WWE isn't smart enough to pull a work like this......you guys are giving them to much credit. It makes no sense because he had his thing with Kane going the last few weeks and then Kane eliminated him at the Rumble then nothing......not so much as a mention on Raw and from what Ive read he was suppose to have a big part on Smackdown and he didn't even show up.
Knowing WWE over hyping everything they do they would have mentioned that he was pissed blah blah and he took his ball and went home.

It's either a work or an attempt to get Vince to offer an improved contract. After seeing recent interviews and the way he's been acting the past 6 months or so, it feels to me as though he's done trying and accepted he's had his day in the sun, and just become content with being where he is on the Card and not the number one guy.

Why couldn't it have been Cena instead

this is interesting... it can lead to what the WWE wants... EC - Bryan, Cena, Sheamus, Orton, Reigns, Wyatt Wyatts vs Shield (Rollins and Ambrose) Punk left out for the eventual return at WM against HHH

This is very intriguing, Ill always like CM Punk for his in-ring abilities but his character has become very stale to me since he left Paul Heyman. Punk too me is a guy who will always be a better heel then a babyface. I'm hoping he hasnt finally given up on the company, I was hoping to see him be in a "joining the corporation" type storyline similar to Stone Cold circa 2001.

Damn I hope this is storyline or WWE is going to be a lot worse off than it is now (and it isn't exactly the best atm)..

Oh good grief. If you compare Punk and Austin by personalities you see a lot of similarities. One of which is demanding the spotlight to the point of leaving after too long of not getting their way. Austin saw the error of his ways and finally gave in, and I'm of the opinion that if this is indeed true, Punk will as well. Say what you will about how WWE is handling Bryan, but his popularity has eclipsed Punk's and that must drive him mad at some level.
With his talent I could see he and Bryan headline a Wrestlemania in a year or two, but he'll have to get over himself if he wants to last that long.

Punk is not going to TNA.
Even if he did they would screw it up. You could spot them Punk , '95 HBK , and the Freebirds and Von Erich's feud and they would still draw the same 1.1 they have forever.

I can't say he's my favourite wrestler or personality, but if this is true, it's going to leave quite a void in the roster IMO.
Edit- Bright side- maybe this opens up Hunter to face Bryan at Mania. That'd be better than the rumored matchup that DB has right now.
