Man, forget all the theories. Forget all the reasons as to why he left or any of that. All I know is that this sucks. As a fan, this sucks. Even for people who don't care if Punk is around or not. Everything about this situation sucks. It's terrible that things are in such a position to drive a top star to walk off the job. It's even worse that WWE aka the only Pro Wrestling that exists to about 95% of the world is making headlines on news staples like Fox and MSN. This isn't the kind of press I enjoy reading and getting as a fan of what we all love. The last thing we need is another "Scandal", and that's all this is to outsiders who don't really understand wrestling the way the fans do. I'm not gonna take a side because I don't want to. I just wished that A. He never left, or B. He left in a more professional manner. Yep. All of these theories are cute and all, but let's be serious, we have absolutely no idea what happened. Not the slightest clue. You can blame Batista, Triple H, Vince McMahon, Daniel Bryan, whatever makes you feel better and helps you to cope and understand I suppose, but the simple fact is that we have no idea, and until someone with first-hand knowledge of the matter (so really, Punk himself) steps forward, we're going to continue to know absolutely nothing. If this is real, it's not some storyline we can disect. It's flat out silly to be "fantasy-booking" a man's emotions and employment situation. It's insane.

Not for nothing, WWE's official twitter account just posted this - "#WWE's Sam looks for answers in wwe Superstars #2, in comic stores now! wwe.me/t4VgU " WWE's CM PUNK STILL!!! Doesnt mean much but we know he is still with WWE as of this writing based on the tweet. Surely if he was gone they would have been given directive not to feature him in a tweet... weird CM Punk is coming up as Flint Coyle.

I just wished that A. He never left, or B. He left in a more professional manner. Honestly, I don't see a match against HHH at Mania in a huge storyline as being something to complain about (if I'm Punk). That's really a more high profile match than the title in my eyes. I'm not saying he doesn't have to have that opinion, or that there aren't other things to be mad about. I'm just saying, unless he thought he'd be burried...would he really be upset about that? If so, it's his opinion, but that angle/match is nothing to be upset about. That's not something I'm interested in getting into. I was just expressing how this entire situation sucks. I'm not sure why he left but I'm sure we'll find out as soon as he's willing to come forward and tell us. But sitting here and theorizing what the reasons may be only annoys me that much more. I wish him well in whatever he chooses to do going forward and I hope he returns to entertain the masses in some way shape or form.

I'm pretty sure this is real. But I am also pretty sure that cooler heads will prevail later, and I fully expect this to be turned into an angle at or after WM just like they did last time. I agree to some extent. I think/hope Punk will eventually work things out with the company, but I have a feeling if he does it won't happen until after the summer. He needs time off to heal nagging injuries anyway, and I don't see him rushing back just to be used in a throwaway under card match versus Triple H or Kane.

A match against the washed up boss who wrestles two times a year for no reason other than because he thinks people actually want to pay to see him is a "high-profile match" that's more important than the title to you? I disagree, and it's pretty clear Punk does, too. Not to mention, the last time those two faced each other in 2011 when Punk was super over, he jobbed to Triple H and it basically killed all his momentum.

Ya know. Punk used the internet to his advantage in the end of his ROH run and it produced a tremendous few months of shows. Maybe that's what is going on here.

Honestly I'd rather see Punk as a MMA guest analyst, involved more with the Nerdist, and a possible run in Japan than WWE at this point.

Punk is at his best when you can hear him. Is Abraham Washintong's mic still around?

It would be cool to see this be a work, and Punk runs in the Chamber when it is down to Bryan and Orton, and Punk turns heel and attacks Bryan. The next night, he says that he was with The Authority all along and it leads to one of the main events against Bryan. They have an amazing match, and Bryan defeats Punk, through interference from Kane, HHH, Steph, NAO, and the Shield. Punk finally gets his main event, Bryan gets an amazing match and overcomes The Authority. Too bad it's probably real...

Wow, I've been out of the loop for that last few days but this is pretty big. CM Punk has been my favourite performer over the last few years now, but I'd be lying if I said I was surprised that he did something like this. I'm intrigued to see how it'll be dealt with (or if it even will be dealt with) on-air. Either way, I've been slowly losing interest in the product for a while now and CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have pretty much been the only two guys keeping me watching on a week to week basis. If Punk is in fact going to be cut loose, then I'm interested to see what he'll do in the future. If anything it will probably be a long sabbatical for him to rest and mend his wounds before getting back into the ring.

Bryan vs HHH is more reasonable than Punk vs HHH.
Punk hasnt been held down as much as Bryan. Am I wrong or?

Seriously the way WM is shaping up, facing Triple H is probably the second biggest mania match (besides the streak, which he got last year).

Well no sh*t. Punk pretty much said Triple H wasn't good enough for his Mania match. I'm not going to get into all that, I like Triple H, but Cena, Rock, Taker and Brock are all bigger stars than HHH imo, and Punk has already faced him in a match that he lost for no reason at all. I didn't want to see Triple H vs Punk, I don't think it's interesting at all, but I'm glad to hear that Vince is dealing with this because Vince and Punk seem to have a mutual understanding for one another. This is a situation where it's impossible for Triple H's ego to not be involved in the decision making process, apparently he forgot his best friend is HBK and they spent the entirety of 96-98 together. He should be familiar with disrespectful. I think HBK's the GOAT, guns down, but it's also the truth when it comes to top guys. I just think Vince needs to give Punk something credible and challenging to do at Mania. He wants Austin, he's always wanted Austin, and even just giving him the Main Event is going to temporarily stroke his ego until he gets Austin imo. I just think subconsciously that Punk wants to skydive off the mountain top every single night and he can only do that with guys like HBK and Austin at this point because he's worked with everyone else.

I just can't see this being legit...with all the "I can't change the business sitting on my couch in Chicago" mantra he had a few years ago, I can't see him going completely against that. Not to mention if he was unhappy prior to this, and assuming he was whining like he usually is, why didn't someone like Joey Mercury (who gave him the talk that made him want to stay originally) talk to him and cool him down?
