When I first started collecting a couple years back I loved hunting in the stores but as time wore on I got so any figures that now it's hard to even find anything in stores I want or don't have. I'm a one figure each type of collector though except for guys like the undertaker or flashbacks like triple h so it's much easier to buy online now even though it is a bit pricier.

We don't have figures in stores in Sweden. Online is my only option. Around 30-40 £ per figure.

it depends if it's a current series for instance elite 26 ya I love the feeling of finding a figure I want in stores for regular price but if it's an older series such as elite 1 then ill buy it online

I used to enjoy brick n mortar hunts. Not anymore. Its not worth all the extra added costs and time, when I can conveniently do it online. I save money and TIME.

Ideally, I'd definitely prefer to get all my figures in "The Wild". However, I'm rather new to collecting and thus on the hunt for some that are no longer in stores. Plus, my area kinda sucks for figures. Most stores are lucky to be restocked with them a few times a year, so there's a lot of empty or John Cena filled pegs all over down here. So, I tend to buy most of mine online. Still, nothing beats that little rush you get when you come upon a sweet new figure in the wild and snap it up right quick before anyone else does.

If it is something I really want then I preorder it. Anything else I wait until retail.

I'll go to stores whenever i can, if i can't find what i want i'll order off of eBay/Amazon (Or in the Elite versions of the The Shield's case, my only order on RSC because of how expensive and rare they were)

Buying in stores. I like to have a story as to how I got my figures instead of "I bought it on Ringside/ebay/Amazon/etc and it arrived in the mail 7 days later". I also used to enjoy making trades on Classy Fieds before getting ripped off a bunch of times.

Toy R Us and K-Mart are the only places I like to shop for WWE figures. I try to pre-order cases of Elites to keep ahead. I used to like the thrill of the chase, but that's when I started. I started collecting around the time Elite 16 came out. Back then there where figures that went back as far as Elite 4 at retail. Personally found Elite 4 Kofi Kingston, Elite 7 David Hart-Smith, Elite 8 Regal, a few Elite Justin Gabriel, tons of Legends and few Defining Moments. Now, no so much. Online (eBay) is where I go to fill in the gaps when I'm caught up.
I don't feel like it's cheating, as I believe it's whatever gives you that rush you get when you get what you want. Personally, I feel like it's Christmas when I get several packages in the mail! That is not to say that I don't enjoy going out, however; looking for figure is secondary.

It used to be online as with Mattel's past distribution problems it was much easier, figure hunting became too much hard work.
Now with prices creeping up I just wait for retail for everything now, I have other priorities now that I'm almost 24 years old.

Ultimately as long as I get the figures I want I'm generally happy. There is something that makes finding the figure on your own at a store so much better though. As others have said, "The thrill of the chase" is part of why I like collecting wrestling figures.

Use to love going to stores & finding new stuff, but living in a small town only having 1 Walmart & 1 target in a 25min radius they normally get one case of a new series (for elites) then the shelves stay bare for a few months until the next series hit, so if you aren't the first there you are SOL.
So now it's all RSC, eBay & amazon. Saves on gas & frustration

When I was collecting, I was strictly shopping in stores. I know everyone has different circumstances but I kinda felt like online purchasing was taking the easy way out. I also wasn't willing to pay the inflated price for the online benefit.

Online is so much easier and less annoying then driving around town only to not find what you're looking for or finding it and realizing some dummy swapped it. Online 4 lyfe

I used to love finding things at retail but I have becomes so disgusted with finding only Sheamus and ADR figures that I just order online. It saves me so much time and gas. The only figs I look for at retail are the TRU exclusives.
