In all honesty, if you go back and watch NWA TNA, it was pretty bad. There were some decent matches, but most was all former WCW guya having crappy matches and promos.

If it means we'll see a midget jerking off in a trash can again, I'm all for it!

-- If each one of them had a little hat, they'd remind me of a couple of pen!$es wearing little hats. (Mortimer must've been in heaven, between the 2 Johnsons ha!) But seriously, did ya know those guys were the NWA Worlds tag champs at the time when NWA-TNA started? Stripped of the belts just before the debut show... kind of a shame they couldn't just be themselves, defending the belts. Instead, their belts are stripped, and they're given a genitalia gimmick.

It was such a ing joke. They should have came in with the idea that they were the current NWA tag team champions and defend that. Not strip titles and pretend NWA wasn't doing SOMETHING. Push it as a new start but recognize it wasn't dead.

I like the concept of a major promotion through the NWA, it did bring some prestige back to the NWA title, and there were some great matches. But it was terribly booked thanks to the involvement of Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara, and Jeff Jarrett seemed to have an even bigger sledge hammer than Triple H. When I watch it back it seems like it was just a big vanity project for Jeff Jarrett since he knew WWE were never gonna hire him.

He was the biggest name there so they had to build off of him. They couldn't just start a new company and build it off an unknown AJ Styles. If they had, there would be no TNA

If they had, there would be no TNA Bingo this also happen to be the same case on RAW from '02-'05 with Triple H main being champion. You have to have your main star or most well know wrestler as champion when getting a new promotion started and Jeff Jarrett made the most sense.Guys like Ron Killings,Ken Shammrock, and drunk Scott Hall,BG James...ect weren't big enough stars to carry the company a guys like Styles,Abyss,Storm,Harris...ect were all fresh faces to the masses and need to be built up over time. Also see how when Sting joined Jeff Jarrett started to hand over the reigns i.e a bigger star was now on the roster. Then pretty much fully hand over the reigns and left being a full time on air character once Kurt Angle joined.
