the best paint to use is acrylic and acrylic paint brushes. it really doesnt matter though on what brushes to use because mostly your paying for the name. but definately use acrylic paint.

Acrylic paint yes, as enamel doesn't stick to plastic. However, what are you rambling on about "paying for the name" when it comes to paint brushes? Paint brushes matter BIG time. If I buy 10 cheap paintbrushes from Walmart that cost a dollar as opposed to something from a hobby shop, it's way different. Lots of people underestimate the quality a good brush can provide. Now paint, just go to Walmart and get some Folkart or Apple Barrel. Tons of colors, about 44 cents a bottle. Mix some with a little water or thinner to make it go on better. Don't be lazy either, one coat isn't gonna cut it. Anyway yeah, good luck. Get some GOOD brushes from say a Hobby Lobby store or something. Get the paint from Walmart. Holla.
