Painted belt packs as an RSC exclusive would sell. Even if it was a pack with belts that have already been released, Elite collectors would want back up belts just to have them; Basic-only collectors would buy the belts just to replace the crappy looking standard-issue belts that Mattel puts out. Mattel's $10-each price prediction seems steep, but people would pay it, because it's not that steep. Once a belt is made, it is made. Making more of the same is cheaper; even the painted vacu-belts have to be mass produced for Mattel to make a profit. Mattel has said numerous times the lower the production run the greater the cost would be. If they did a belt pack it would need to be a low production run especially if they made it a RSC or Matty exclusive and they've said it wouldn't be cost effrctive. Personally I don't know why these type topics keep coming up. (the belt packs, ESR, Elite Punk Hart attire, etc) They have a set budget to work within and said on many occassions none of these would fit in their production budget or be cost effective in this economy. |

I love the elite belts but I wouldn't pay 50 for a few of them. I would rather get a figure, like Kelly Kelly, with the elite belt and have both figure and belt instead of just the belt. what about belts that will either never be released in a figure or a belt that hasn' been released yet? It would depend on the belt...but I doubt it. I would rather pay 20 for a figure and a belt instead of 10 or 15 for just a belt or 50 for a pack of 6 or so like is being described in this thread. |

Do any of you work for or own stock in Mattel?? We are just having a discussion about a wish list. I don't understand the posts about "never going to happen" or all this "cost for Mattel" talk. You are probably the same people who complain about Daniel Bryan not being Champion right now, or how TNA stinks, yet still watch every week...after reading the spoilers. Leave us dreamers alone and start another thread to complain separate from here. Give us our Belt Packs Mattel!! If you don't...well, we'll continue to buy the Belts the long way.

Mattel should do this ..I have a daughter and she has monster high dolls and Barbie dolls made by mattel and they constantly put out dolls and then packs of clothes u can buy for certain dolls or any dolls and they make ..playsets For each doll ( they should do wwe Fig sets like edges ,jerichos,piper etc....) so I don't think a pack of belts or single belt is a hard or bad thing to do if you ask me .this actually should be done by now so get on it please !!!

Don't know where people are getting these figures from as it pertains to what it would cost to make them and what they'd have to sell for. No way they'd sell for 10 bucks individually but they can afford to have it be an accessory that they include with a figure they charge 17 bucks for. That would imply that they could afford to sell elite figures for 7 bucks with no accessories. Doesn't sound realistic... We got it from Mattel saying as much. |

I'm neither here nor there on this subject, but I am intrigued as to where you guys got this notion that each belt costs $10.00 to produce, is this confirmed or just assumed calculations? I've always valued the production cost of that tiny piece of plastic at around .25¢-$1.00 each. Lol
Can someone clarify, mostly just curious.

I bet they sit around and laugh at this board as people tell a giant billion dollar company how to do their jobs. im not saying i myself would want the things and never said "i want " cuz i damn sure don't have the space anywhere lol but if they could do it for these other dolls why not in another brand of dolls i think it would probly sell but im no fincancial analyst or w/e for mattel and other companies before mattel have done it, i didn't collect back then so i dont kno how all that went but it wold probly/slowly sell if it was current playsets like miz tv set or something but yea they probly laugh cause they probly already pass on the idea or aint even interested or who knows why i just collect figs. but i understand where you are coming from no question about that. |
