a suitable length for the ring would be 10" for each side. it shouldn't be too big or too small.

The dimentions for the real 6 sided ring is (from highspots):
* Post to adjacent Post: 16' 10"
* Rail to adjacent Rail: 15' 7"
* Rope to adjacent Rope: 12' 1"
* Sides: 9'
* Ground to Floor: 41"
* Floor to Bottom Rope: 16"
* Floor to Middle Rope: 33"
* Floor to Top Rope: 50"
You just need to put it in scale to the figures you use.
