You can use whatever criteria you think makes sense and even include as many members as you want.
For example, having Ted DiBiase Jr. would have made sense seeing as how his father was in the original nWo and Ted really wasn't doing much in WWE. He would have fit in perfectly.

Its hard to say because the premise of the NWO was that they were top guys from the WWF invading............TNA top guys? Hardy, Styles and Roode?
Maybe they could do a NWO based on ROH guys.........Punk, Bryan and Rollins.....

Big E Langston, I hear everyone's very high on him backstage, and Cena really likes him... So I imagine they'd want him part of it.

The nWo gimmick would never work anymore. Hell, it didn't work the last three or four times it was done. It was pretty much a one-time thing.

I see HHH as the Eric Bischoff
Cena as the Hulk Hogan (the leader and the main draw)
Orton as the Sting (second biggest draw/vice-captain sort of thing)
Bryan and Brie as the Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth (the couple)
Roman Reigns as The Giant (Big Muscle Guy)
Jack Swagger or Curtis Axel as the Curt Hennig (the athlete of the group)
I'm not entirely sure who the Nash, Hall, Bagwell etc would be.

It wouldn't be applicable.
basically the original concept worked because it was sold as an Invasion. there no legit competition to sell that Angle anymore.
Plus Hall & Nash were as charismatic as anyone the Biz has EVER seen. even if they were to attempt a TNA version of this(which they wouldn't) they haven't got the mouthpiece talent to sell it properly.
basically it was lightning bottled. right place right time

Well if the NWO was going to work again, it would be guys leaving WWE to go someplace else. If that were going to happen, it would need to be Cena, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. At which point, two of those guys would have to be motivated enough by money to let the third guy be the centerpiece in order to keep them all together and happy.
I don't think it would work, but I can't say I wouldn't be intrigued as hell to watch it. It seems far more likely we would see a disgruntled faction led by CM Punk with internet darlings in toe if it was an internal angle. Which is something I'd also be interested to watch.
