Why is the MCMG two pack so scarce? I have found three sets in the past couple months. One was rather expensive. I tried kind of price referencing them through the net but I can't find anything on them. I mean they had to have been produced and sold somewhere right? I really didn't think any Impact figures were too rare or hard to come across.

I'm not sure rare is the right word. But they are scarce nowadays. They were found in TRU stores mainly, although there were a few Targets to get them in stock here and there. Team 3D was also in that set,and to a lesser extent than Shelley/Sabin, were also an in demand set. Aside from that, it was pretty much RSC and another net store to sell them. The bottom line on why they're harder to get than others, is simply because they came out early enough in the TNA line, that people were interested in it back then. And the Machine Guns were popular enough for them to sell well. And with the exception of the first series of 2 packs, none of the other sets or series were very easy to come by at retail. So its a combination of things that command the price. What with the TNA line currently,at best, in limbo plus the fact that they are one time figures in the jakks world, allows them to go at a premium compared to other TNA releases.

They weren't rare at the time, I just think not too many people bought TNA and now they want those figures.

they're the only ones missing from my TNA collection simply because im not paying $80-$100 for a pair of figures that were released at mass retail and most people complained about when they came out because Sabin had the "cena shorts" and Shelley had the "snow boots" they are mediocre figures at best.
