In one week from today raw will be live from Chicago. If you don't remember mitb 2011 was in Chicago. The cm punk chants were crazy. wwe is afraid that the fans will hijack raw.

I wonder how they'll react for that return...

If Punk is legitimately gone, all WWE will do is turn off the house microphones in Chicago. Problem solved.

Evrn if this isn't a work I doubt they are worried. And yes I still say it is a work. (even with the Axcess refunds) Companies do things like that all the time because they know the payout will be much greater. Plus I'm sure the refunds weren't as many as people think, because ai am sure many opted for the Flair exchange.

One week from today Raw will be in Green Bay. Chicago is two weeks away. Theyre still scared. Hornswoggle and mr Kennedy chants. Every city they go to they are scared. Where's Barry Horowitz from? Could be a huge raw.

I have read that Hogan and Taker will be on that show, as WWE think it will help distract the fans attention from Punk. Uh, no.

I mean it has caused quite the commotion, but I believe I get what you are getting at. The casual fans, kids, and/or any fan that doesn't go on the internet may not have a clue what is going on and with them not announcing his departure makes the payout a little less. The only way I could see that working is if we got corporate Punk, which could work since the current rumor going around is that they are going to take Christian out of the Chamber.

Whether people are on the Internet or not, how does it draw any money? What would you personally spend on WWE products because of a "CM Punk leaves for a month and doesn't tweet" angle? What would anyone else spend on WWE because of such an angle? Are millions of people who never had any interest in the network suddenly going to buy it because CM Punk pretends to leave for a month? There is literally zero purpose or gain other than "working the boys" or "working the Internet" or something.

Yeah, if this is a work it is just playing with the fans already watching because they didn't announce any of this. But I do think it would be a fun angle to reintroduce him a Corporate Punk and that could possibly explain his absence.

It's a foregone conclusion that the fans are going to hijack the show. It's just a matter of whether or not WWE actually tries to counteract it by putting on a great show, or if they just try their best to ignore it and push through.
Either way, it's going to create a lot of awkward moments on commentary. Those Chicago crowds are vocal and hostile, they're not going to back down.

He'll be that much hotter when he comes back which will boost sales of the network and ppv for those without the network
