Hey guys... I always have used fimo clay to customize my figs. And boiled in water to harden it. Now I also read that with sculpey, people put the figs in the oven...is this really posible? Wont the figures melt??

I use Super Sculpey and I love it. On the Offical site www.sculpey.com it says the following "bakes at 275° F (135° C) in a standard oven or toaster oven " Personally, I boil my sculpey if I'm using what I call a large amount. But If I'm sculping a beard or some hair I use a heat gun (not a blow Dryer) Personally, I would not put plastic figures in the oven... even when I use the heat gun I have to be careful not to melt the figure... Just a few second of the heat gun makes the sculpey nice a hard. So my professional opinion, is don't bake it... you can get a heat gun from any craft store for under 20 bucks. Remember when you sculpt keep you fingers and the sculpey nice and wet, it's easier to work with when it's wet.
