I personally haven't seen anything too bad.....nothing I haven't been able to rub off with a little goof off or acetone .........with the exception of Yokozuna.....ugh what a nightmare that was but I eventually fixed it....
Nothing has ever broke on me either, loose joint and a tight joint here or there but its been pretty good overall with mattel.

I guess I'll consider myself lucky cause I've literally never encountered anything like that.

The only big paint splatter I have is on E24 Miz. It has a red splatter on one of his boots. Nothing you can see from just looking at it, though.

I have a E26 Swagger that had paint smeared all over his face, it was the same color as his hair. I also have a BOPPV TRU Exclusive Daniel Bryan that has a leg joint that is backwards, luckily Mattel sent me a voucher when I emailed them a pic. It is getting out of hand.

I don't think its just Mattel honestly.
Trying to find a Hasbro Marvel Legends figure with decent paint apps is the proverbial needle in the hay stack. Especially Marvel NOW Cap.

I've been quite lucky as far as QC issues go.

I own over 250 Mattel figures and have never had any problems regarding quality control.

I'm with those who say they haven't had problems (knock on wood).

There gold paint is the worst I've been brushing some sealer on my titles and figures to prevent the gold from fading. I don't want another silver Intercontinental Championship or an all black trunks Rock. Even with their minimal paint schemes, I had to sift through many Ambrose and Rollins to find ones without wonky eyebrows or mysterious paint scuffs. The Rollins I did choose ended up having some orange (?!) paint on his hands.

Yeah I also had an Eddie Guerrero that had his lower leg/boot on backwards. Funnily enough it was on the same leg as the boot that Kurt Angle pulled off during their match!
