So the only real difference here is that you can't see his pubes haha?! Why are you complaining? Your joke isn't funny. Lesser paint apps on expensive figures are not good things.

Lesser paint apps on expensive figures are not good If people think those are "pubes" then they clearly haven't gone through puberty yet. That or they should take an anatomy class because last time I checked, my stomach and crotch were two different areas...

Hair aside, I really wish Mattel would have sculpted specific boots for HBK instead if using the blank kickers. I mean, they gave billy Gunn new boots and how many billy gunn figures are they going to make?

Pubic hair is androgenic hair and chest, stomach, and armpit hair is androgenic hair, but not all androgenic hair is pubes. Close but no cigar. Hope this puts the pubes commentary to rest.

Either way it's still a great looking figure.

I just picked mine up today and hadn't really noticed the missing stomach hair. I was more concerned that mine doesn't rotate his torso. I put all of my strength into trying to break it loose, but it will not budge. Mine too. I figured it was Mattel's attempt at making the figure more realistic, since HBK was in such pain during the match he couldnt move his back without it hurting. Lol, i didnt really think that, but it sounded good. But mine , like yours, doesnt turn at the waist. I had thought the same thing once I couldn't loosen it. I'll use the 15% coupon in my email to pick up another one. Bret also has white paint splattered in a few places on his singlet, but I should be able to live with that since it is on the back. I love the attention to detail, but QC really needs to be brought up, Mattel.

It's hardly a surprise. It's like the first basic Reigns had the tattoo that continued on to his shoulder/outer pec, but on the elite and new basic, it doesn't. At least they were new releases, in seperate lines... but releasing a less detailed version of the same figure, is a whole, new piss-take. Edit: So it's been confirmed that Wrestlingworld in the UK's shipment of HBK is stomach hair-free.. Can't wait to hear the explanation for why they've done this - if they even bother to give us one, that is. So the only real difference here is that you can't see his pubes haha?! Why are you complaining? Your joke isn't funny. Lesser paint apps on expensive figures are not good things. Exactly. It's not about what's missing, it's the fact that something is missing to begin with. Why should people now get an inferior product? It's the principle of the matter.

No but in all seriousness, I'd like to know why. I'm mainly bummed because hair on shawn had been lacking and kept a few figures from being that much better. What's worse is that they got it right, and it looked perfect and then they change it. Still happy to have the figure regardless, it's one of my favs thus far, but yeah, so close to perfection. I will say this though, if and when they make Scott hall/razor...I'll take no excuses, he better have it, with it without additional manufacturing runs

If someone doesn't want their hairy HBK, I'll trade for it!

They've still never made an accurate Michaels IMO, so many attempts.

I would be more pissed at the long hair - Michaels NEVER had long flowing hair in that attire. Always the pony tail look. What are they thinking.

I am laughing at this thread somewhat. I can see it now, one day soon, someone will make a thread outraged, and the thread will be titled "HBK's Package is way too small for WMXII! His package was much bigger then" LOL people at the end of the day these are toys to enjoy. And they've never really made a good Michaels figure, they've all been subpar IMO.
Royal Rumble 1995 attire should have been the best Michaels figure from one of his biggest moments. It's just an OK figure. Something feels missing from it.

Glad I got the one with extra belly hair. Looks way better. Though about buying another one for my first Elite torso swap, but I think I'll skip it now. I would be more pissed at the long hair - Michaels NEVER had long flowing hair in that attire. Always the pony tail look. What are they thinking. It's a head swap man.

There HAS to be more of the correct versions, it doesn't make sense to only make a couple dozen corrected versions that made it to Ringside.
It'd help a lot if MDT would comment on this.
If a correct version isn't widely available, I'll just do without. I already have a decent enough HBK. I don't need to spend $20 on another.

Must have been only the preorders with the full chest hair, got mine today from RSC that was on back order & sadly is the not-as-hairy HBK. Still an excellent figure though

I complain about small details on the McFarlane Spawnboards about SportsPicks, things like wrong facemasks, or equipment and everyone there says I am nuts for complaining about it. At least people want the details correct here and aren't looked at in a negative light for it.
