I just received Bret and Shawn at my doorstep a few minutes ago from TRU. Myn only has the chest hair. Boxes are pretty good, shipped nicely. Couple dots on the figures but no smudges and no missing belt plates on Bret so very happy with purchase. I dont expect to see the other HBK at retail.

Hair aside, I really wish Mattel would have sculpted specific boots for HBK instead if using the blank kickers. I mean, they gave billy Gunn new boots and how many billy gunn figures are they going to make? totally agree hbk's kick pad boots look terrible. he never wore those butbilly gunn is using the ziggler boot mold and those suck for billy gunn too. billy wore road warriors tall no lace boots up to the knee pad

They would have been perfect for Billy.

People have been saying that it needs the Road Warrior boots since the digital sculpt was shown at SDCC. It's a pretty egregious part choice. I just wonder if the blame falls on Bill or Gentle Giant.

And i don't know what the solution would've really been as i don't make wrestling figures. And even the rubber shirt thing...i undertstand. But it just seems like giving Billy blonde hair (instead of orange), bigger arms and the open back kneepads.....would be an easy thing to do. and the front of his shorts just look weird. I would almost prefer the front didn't have anything on it

Road Warrior Hawk and Gunn are the same height! Gunn might be an inch taller actually. No excuse!

Mattel has made a lot of bad part choices on plenty of figures when they easily have access to more accurate parts. Why? who knows. I'm sure its not a cost issue. As for the lips not being on Billy Gunn..i don't agree for the reasoning they gave. How many kids are actually going to associate lips on the front of a guys trunks for something inappropriate? Then again what kids are buying flashbacks over current guys? not many i'm sure.

I wouldn't be surprised if Shawn reported it. I don't remember any of his figures having body hair with Hasbro and Jakks.

If you think things that suck are awesome, good for you. Swagger being undersized is as dumb as HBK losing paintapps.

As a Jew, can I just say what the ? Where did that come from? people have been saying that Mattel has gotten really cheap, so cheap that they completely don't care about us anymore and all they want is money. I will say this again. Mattel doesn't care about you. They never did and they never will. They care about your money. Mattel is not your friend. Your relationship with Mattel is strictly business. They sell you buy. They make crap, you don't buy. They make cool fig, you do buy.

I made this thread because I'm dissasitified with the apparent running change on the HBK figure in question. if it was an "running change", then why would they deliberately take out the hair for no absolute reason when the 1st batch they've sold HAD the hair it's an accidental error, they didn't do this on purpose because of the horrid "they're cheap" or "too suggestive" excuses

Why did they make the winged eagle with a black globe for years? Why haven't they reused the Road Warrior boot mold or the EG Dibiase boot mold? Why don't Stone Cold figures have eyebrows? Why did Bush knock down the towers? Why don't Ryback figures have elbow pads? The fact of the matter is the first released HBKs had the app, and EVERY SINGLE ONE FOUND SINCE DOES NOT. That constitutes a running change. 1. cause they were still getting the hang of things (they started belts at E8) 2. it's not that simple, you'd have to cast it different colors 3. yours has a problem 4. really? comparing 9/11, a HUGE tragedy to some, to a bunch of wrestling toys is a MAJOR bunghole move 5. i don't see Ryback wearing elbow pads cause it's not common
