So let's say Mania ends with Bryan as champ, what does he do next?
He's fought Orton a hundred times so I'd rather not see that again.
Bryan vs Cena 2? Bryan vs Bray 2? Re build Brock and go there? HHH? Heel Batista? Cesaro?
Do you envision a backlash or a dip in popularity when he finally does hold the belt?

Honestly?
I see him defeating Orton at Backlash. Then onto Batista & Triple H for a few months. And then he loses the title to Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar at Summer Slam.

I see Bryan having the Benoit/Guerrero kind of reign, but he has to prove that he can carry the company. In a perfect world I would have Bryan win the title at Mania, have it for a whole year, then at the next Mania lose it to Roman Reigns. Everyone wins in this scenario, smark fans, smark fans that are in denial about not being smark, casual fans, etc.

He drops it to Roman Reigns before or at Wrestlemania 31.

The Authority will send guys after him to take the belt and/or hurt him. It could be very interesting.

Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Championship would be the WORST thing for his career. Once he wins the Title for real, the "Yes movement" is over and his fans no longer have anything to be outraged about.
If WWE was really screwing Daniel Bryan, he'd be wrestling Damien Sandow on Main Event. The fact that him being constantly screwed over is the PREMISE of his character shows that the WWE wants him to be the underdog that the fans will rally behind.
His fans, on the other hand, believe that he's being mistreated in REAL LIFE, not realizing or forgetting that wrestling is FAKE and all the storylines are written by a team of writers.
Once his character overcomes those roadblocks and wins the title....then what? Then he's really got nothing to accomplish and his fans will have nothing to demand. He'll end up like Zack Ryder, Randy Orton's first title run, and Chris Benoit....the fans will move on to the next thing to bitch about. Because deep down inside, this really isn't about Daniel Bryan, this is about the fans being pissed that WWE isn't listening to them.

Cept you are still dreaming about this payoff that aint happening. I cant believe there are still people from SS that think this is a story that WWE put into motion for DB to win the big one at WM. He's facing HHH. He issued the challenge on Raw. WWE hasnt planted any sides or developed any story for DB to win at Mania. Look at Batista. Since his return, they have been pushing this Batista/Orton feud. Then Batista won the Rumble. They have had Batista/Del Rio as just a mini feud and also to help fuel the Batista/Orton feud. They have developed this story. NOTHING...absolutely NOTHING has been planted for DB to win the title in the main event of WM. No seed planting. No tease. No feud. NOTHING. His feud is with HHH. They dropped hints at it right around RR and now its in full swing.

Plenty of people for him to feud with for a good long while with the belt. Look how long worthless, uninteresting Orton has held it and things have been just fine and dandy.

They dropped hints at it right around RR and now its in full swing. We've got a looooong way to go until Wrestlemania still. Over a month. WWE realizes that the Batista vs. Randy Orton match is getting received about as well as a fart in church. Don't think that they aren't worried about what the crowd would do if Randy Orton vs. Batista is a one-on-one match to close out the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania. It would be a major embarrassing moment for the company. Trust me when I tell that sometime between now and Wrestlemania, the Daniel Bryan/Triple H match will have a stipulation added to it that if Bryan beats Triple H, he will be added to the Title match and it will become a triple threat. The fan reaction to Randy Orton vs. Batista one-on-one would be catastrophic. WWE knows this. And even if this whole "payoff for Daniel Bryan" has not been in WWE's original plans, the fan reaction has certainly forced their hand, as it evidence by the fact that hit the ABORT button on the Daniel Bryan joining the Wyatt's after 2 weeks and put him right back into the "getting screwed out of the title by Triple H" story.
