People realize that, while giving him the title may quell his momentum eventually, not giving him the title will do the same thing, right? No one can be the flavor of the week/month/year in the eyes of the crowd forever. What's wrong with capitalizing on it while it's what everyone wants to see?

Once he has the belt people will inevitably lose interest because they finally have got what they want, Its like when they were electing Obama, everybody supported him, social media loved him, people cared and people voted...3months later those same people sh*t allover him.
Fickle is politics & fickle are wrestling fans (myself included). WWE will have to pull something amazing out of the bag to retain Bryan's popularity, They'll no doubt have to throw him into an intense program/feud with someone else high profile/fan favorite but who?
Daniel Bryans career reminds me so much of The Rocks during the Attitude Era. (Minus the mic skills) It makes sense to give him the belts, I'm not a big fan but there's a lot of money to be made by giving him those championship's, So its inevitable.

IF he wins it I would hope he is booked in some steep defensive situations to really solidify him.
Have the Authority send everyone they can after him.....Batista, Lesnar whoever. Have Bryan heroically leap the hurdles and go onto victory.....and when he loses it, it needs to be part of a bigger storyline.

Defend it, The logical blow off would be at next years WrestleMania against Punk in a Iron man Match. Have the 2 most popular and best workers going at it for the title. I personally don't see them being that smart so I would hope they have Bryan face Lesnar instead at Mania next year but that most likely won't happen either with the genius that write and run the WWE.

He is going to need to keep fighting bigger names to build his credibility.

Honestly? I see him defeating Orton at Backlash. Then onto Batista & Triple H for a few months. And then he loses the title to Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar at Summer Slam. WWE's memory is astonishing, as a company with so many people that are simply forgetful. They always say, there is money in the chase...blah blah blah Cena has how many title reigns? Sure he chased those titles, but he also defended against monsters & maniacs. If they put the belt on Bryan at Mania, make the man defend twice a night... have the authority doing everything they can to try & cheat the guy & yet, have him come out on top. That way, we will always think, this could be the time...bring in Lesnar against him...throw out a 4 way with all the shield, especially if they're split....make the king of the ring tournament for his belt & he's in it.....just make him look strong & the chase doesn't have to be where money is made, just where it started That is pure genius.

If Bryan wins the title, one of two things will eventually happen:
1. He'll lose it and the "Bryan's being buried" nonsense will start again.
Or 2. He'll be booked like a longterm WWE top babyface, and his hardcore fanbase will decide he's not cool anymore.

IF he wins the title at WM...
I expect he'll hold it roughly until Survivor Series. One last match with Orton at the next PPV, then maybe 2 feuds with top stars and one with an up and coming star before losing it to a heel for the WM 31 run in. Has a rematch, final 2/3 of the Rumble, throwaway feud with someone then face 'Taker at WM31, cementing him 100% as a top level player.

How about we wait and see if he's in the match before we go around proclaiming him as the next champion...

I'm so sick of the main event revolving around Cena and Orton. Give Bryan the title and build new main eventers to challenge him for it. Guys like Miz, Ziggler, Cesaro, Swagger, etc...

Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Championship would be the WORST thing for his career. Once he wins the Title for real, the "Yes movement" is over and his fans no longer have anything to be outraged about. If WWE was really screwing Daniel Bryan, he'd be wrestling Damien Sandow on Main Event. The fact that him being constantly screwed over is the PREMISE of his character shows that the WWE wants him to be the underdog that the fans will rally behind. His fans, on the other hand, believe that he's being mistreated in REAL LIFE, not realizing or forgetting that wrestling is FAKE and all the storylines are written by a team of writers. Once his character overcomes those roadblocks and wins the title....then what? Then he's really got nothing to accomplish and his fans will have nothing to demand. He'll end up like Zack Ryder, Randy Orton's first title run, and Chris Benoit....the fans will move on to the next thing to bitch about. Because deep down inside, this really isn't about Daniel Bryan, this is about the fans being pissed that WWE isn't listening to them. 'Zo speaks truth.

Why would I want to get behind a babyface that doesn't overcome his obstacles?
Makes zero sense to me.
If a hero never saves the day why have faith in him?

They will just book him to look weak, like they did with Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mysterio and others. It's a no-win situation.

If he wins the title at WrestleMania 30 you can have HHH throw Orton at him at Extreme Rules, Batista until MITB (when he leaves), and then at SummerSlam HHH could defeat Bryan, unleashing a championship reign of terror. At Survivor Series Bryan wins the title back and could face Cena or Wyatt at WM 31 for the title solidifying his spot as the man.
Idk why people are so down on him winning and going from there. He's always gonna play underdog in feuds and he will not hold the title for years on end. So honestly I think 3-5 month reigns then dropping the title and starting another chase for it is absolute gold.
Feuds involving Bryan and the title can be incredible: Bryan vs. Cena, Batista, Lesnar, Sheamus, Wyatt, Reigns, Ambrose, Ziggler, etc etc.

I think he might drop it to Batista in May so they can advertise his movie as "starring the WWE champion". Then drop it back to Bryan when he needs to take time off. That's the only way they can make good on their investment in Batista.

i hope he drops the belt and he gets thrown into midcard hell; cause his fanbase deserves it absolutely love this. I still can't understand why you don't like Bryan. The man is a throwback in many ways to how Wrestling was back in the 70's with his work rate. I understand you like the muscle guys but the man deserves everything he has, he has worked harder then anyone to get to this point believe me I know the man and what he has had to do to just make it to the WWE let alone be so popular is remarkable. There comes a point in time when you have to stop looking at it as a fan and just enjoy what someone of his size and built has been able to do in what has always been a big mans spot in the WWE. Believe me he deserves to be there and in the position he is currently in not just because he is a great worker but one of the nicest most respectful people you will ever meet and anyone in the business including Hogan will tell you the same thing.
