As a huge Drake Younger fan, I had no idea who he was until he debuted for CZW. To say he isn't well known for his run there is ridiculous. That's not saying his PWG run isn't great, because I have loved that also. Just give the guy some credit for what he did in CZW. With all that said couldn't be happier for him. Anyone who has had any interaction with him knows what a great person he is. Has always been super nice to me and my friends in short encounters. Younger is a great guy and despite showstoppers comments his current legacy was created in CZW. That company was only over from 2007-2009 because of Drake. He was CZW for those two years. And seriously? Wife beater, Nick Gage, Zandig, garbage wrestlers. Necro Butcher? He's one of the most well known Indy wrestlers and in an Oscar nominated movie and probably made some decent Money from it and his ROH run. But Drake Younger, Jon Moxley, Sami Callihan, Adam Cole....like it or not they made their names in the combat zone. They were known before but they each had years where the company literally revolved around them especially Drake. I'm not discrediting his PWG run what so ever. But like Callihan PWG picked him up after it was established that he can go. So if any company deserves credit for Younger its CZW. And IWAMS? Really? They draw 20-40 people crowd shows when they're around. The combat zone regularly draws 200 at least to this day. There's no way more people remember things he did in IWA when all he did in IWA was put on good matches. No tournament wins, no title runs, no major angles, nothing but a few great by Indy standards matches. Combat Zone Wrestling will never get the credit they deserve because they're "garbage wrestling" but Sami Callihan, Drake Younger, Adam Cole, Jon Moxley, all of those guys owe a good part of their fame in this business to that company. Even younger guys like AR Fox, while he's not the greatest wrestler CZW gave him a chance and now he's working every major Indy in the US. But your right CZW has done nothing for nobody.

I don't know much about Drake Younger other than he's from CZW and other companies. To me, he's more of a CZW guy than any other indy promotion, just like Callihan and Moxley. I'm not a fan of the CZW product, but good for Drake Younger getting signed.

He won the deathmatch championship in iwa too. They also had a huge angle in 08 drake vs dingo for the belt.

Kotd 11 can be described by how many people are there. Dingo/Younger was ok but it was just a series of matches basically. Drake Younger vs. Scotty Vortekz in CZW. That is an angle. Anyways its still a tremendous story that the guy had serious drug problems 3 years ago and now he's going to the dance thanks to turning his life around. Great story I can only hope for the best. Its a shame however there basically no chance he uses the vertabreaker in the WWE or NXT. Now all I need is Crowe vs. Younger on NXT and I'll never question buying the WWE Network again. Their matches last year were amazing.

Apparently he might be used as a referee according to rumors and lordsofpain.
I certainly hope not.

Take a 29 year old in the best shape of his life and putting on the best matches he's ever had and make him a referee? That PMA must be some serious stuff if Drake signed to become a referee.

CZW fans are so arrogant. They take credit for every single guy who has ever come through the CZW doors as a "CZW guy". Cept NONE of them are getting signed out of the CZW door....cept maybe Callihan. They all are making their names in other feds. Is a Hero a "CZW guy"? Im sure CZW fans will say yes. Cept he has worked 1 show for CZW since he came back and a several more for ROH. Hell...he worked 2 for Pro Wrestling Syndicate.

He owes everything he's done so far to CZW. Callihan was doing spot shows for Ian and CZW made him their top heel within 6 months and made him a household name among Indy fans. Look what happened to his career after he put CZW on his back. He went to DGUSA, evolve, PWG etc was instantly a top guy. Nobody gave him that chance before CZW just like Drake. He came into CZW was made a top guy within 6 months and now look at him a sucsessful PWG run and now a WWE contract. CZW gave these guys chances to run with their company almost immediately when nobody else would and they all benefited from it quite a bit. I'm not saying anyone to ever grace a CZW ring to get a WWE contract owes everything to CZW I'm simply trying to make people understand its more then just f bombs and death matches and deserves some credit for helping these guys careers.

Looks to me like its turning into another NXT you stupid s I HATED CZW with those death matches in like parks but I seen their last two events and they were pretty awesome. I like Gulak but he needs knee pads or longer trunks because his legs are weird.

Dude laid his claim in the Midwest and then moved to the east coast, laid his claim there and literally was caws golden boy. Don't let your bias get in the way of that. You didn't even respond to my video of the whole czw arena chanting for him, yeah more well known in front of 300 stoned pwg fans right. He wrestled for czw for nearly eight years, in front of thousands and thousands of different people, how would he be more well known for 1-2 years of work in pwg? Just because he was living on the west coast when he got his wwe backstage segment with ryback? Where is your logic here cm? How can you even try and say that he is more known for his pwg run when most people will immediately think of younger as a hardcore wrestler and associate him with iwa or czw?
