Welp, time to go back to single-car qualifying. Good lord... Dumbest thing I have ever seen. Like oh let's just sit and wait because I don't want to be first. Stupid.

Welp, time to go back to single-car qualifying. Good lord... Dumbest thing I have ever seen. Like oh let's just sit and wait because I don't want to be first. Stupid. I mean, it's the product of utilizing group qualifying when the draft or the weather plays a big role. Huge backup on pit road trying to hold their position, or waiting for the last possible second to get on the track at its coolest temp. All while the track sits empty for 95% of the given time.

Big win for Custer I'm glad he got one at his home track. I thought Reddick got lucky getting the championship last year but he's been running great so far in the #2, better this year then last imo. With Custer,Reddick,Bell,Allgaier,Cindric,Gragson etc its gonna be a great championship fight in Xfinity.

Don't wanna stir the pot but...
Can't help but see the "coincidence" of a tire off the 43 car detonating and bringing out the caution right when Kyle needed it to catch back up to the field on his way to allowing NASCAR to celebrate him reaching 200 wins.

Would've been easier for them to have not called his speeding penalty in the first place. Who would've known?

Winning 200 races at any level is impressive as hell but please stop saying "oh he tied Richard Petty"...He didnt. Nobody runs around saying Mark Martin or Dale Earnhardt have 90 something wins. I dont like him but Im not going to deny he's a hell of a driver but if you dont count Xfinity/Truck wins for others then you cant just randomly throw them out here.

Can you not Bait Kyle fans? He won get over it and quit whining! I'm happy for Kyle. I have the Frosted Flakes box I had him signed when I met him in '06 displayed proudly in my room. He'd definitely have at least 25-30 more Cup wins and multiple championships if NASCAR hadn't been so set in making Jimmie the overbearing force in that series. But there is a reason why they've made it a point to count "total" NASCAR victories, and it's not because of the organization's pride in his achievement. Besides, it was the commentary team and not I who questioned whether he would even end up being considered a "NASCAR great", the same team who is ready to permanently mount Johnson's face on the Mt. Rushmore of the sport.

Kyle is a great. It took me 11 years, but after Daytona 2008, Darrell Waltrip said "At some point, you're gonna have to put your personal feelings aside and see the talent that this kid has."
I'm finally seeing it.
To get 200 wins is monumental. Kyle racing lower tier races and those counting in thr 200 are the same as counting every single race Petty ran. Because some of RP's wins were like.... county fair exhibit races and at tracks like ¼ mile ovals, where they were 100 lap showcases. He didn't win 200 races at 400-500 miles a race at tracks up to nearly 3 miles in length, 2.66 miles at Talladega.

He didn't win 200 races at 400-500 miles a race at tracks up to nearly 3 miles in length, 2.66 miles at Talladega. There's a fair argument for both sides. In Petty's day they ran up to 40+ races in a year (even though most didnt run all races) whereas current day you have 36 cup races plus Xfinity, plus Trucks. Its fair to say Petty was running 100 lap showcases but Petty/Inman were also doing a lot of the stuff themselves where as Busch has been gifted with multi-million dollar teams. Again, there's an argument on both sides. Ultimately what gets a lot of people, if you refuse to put Jimmie Johnson in the same category as Dale Sr and Petty because "Its not the same as it use to be" then you really lose all arguments for this scenario as well.
