Curious how NASCAR handles their presumptive return. They are already doing the iRacing series over the internet. From what I have watched it's interesting to see virtual racing I meant considering social distancing, even in the states where they're opening too early, is still in place. That means no fans, it would hinder the pit crews, and anyone who sits in the boxes.

I heard a sports host say that racing can be brought back easier than most sports because "it's just a guy in a car". Oversimplification of the situation, not taking into account: - the pit crews, - sanctioning officials, - safety/clean-up crews, - the crews back in the race shop (which have recently been declared available to operate in NC), - camera crews, - those responsible for the "nuts and bolts" of producing the broadcast, - and those responsible for catering and amenities at the track.

Exactly. Too many people whom HAVE to be close together, and with that super heat, no way half of them wouldn't hyperventilate behind masks.

Ganassi has tapped Matt Kenseth to replace He Who Sponsors Shall Not Touch in the 42 for the remainder of the 2020 season, whatever that may look like.
Carl Edwards was reportedly approached as well but he declined the offer.

NASCAR has made official plans to return to the (actual) racetrack. May 17 will be the first of an 11-day sprint featuring Cup, Xfinity, and Gander Trucks action at Darlington and Charlotte. Future scheduling TBD. May 17 @ 3:30 EST: Cup Series at Darlington (400 mi) May 19 @ 8 EST: Xfinity at Darlington (200 mi) May 20 @ 7:30 EST: Cup Series at Darlington (500 km) May 24 @ 6:00 EST: Cup Series at Charlotte (600 mi) May 25 @ 7:30 EST: Xfinity at Charlotte (300 mi) May 26 @ 8:00 EST: Gander Trucks at Charlotte (200 mi) May 27 @ 8:00 EST: Cup Series at Charlotte (500km) www.google.com/amp/s/m.nascar.com/news-media/2020/04/30/nascar-announces-revised-may-schedule-as-racing-returns-beginning-at-darlington-raceway/amp/?espv=1Not surprising in the least. Fishing for that praise, free press, and bump in ratings for being one of the first "major" sports to come back. Also with it being a sponsor-driven entity, and a huge portion of its revenue being related to its TV broadcasts.

Wasn't a great race to watch but at least we got something. I'm glad Harvick got that first win and look strong doing it but the rest of SHR gotta step up. They run good for part of the day but seems like can never finish up.

I'm glad Briscoe got the win this one was a big one for him beating Kyle like that and after the week he's had. Watching his winner interview was rough to get through knowing all the pain he's going through. Prayers to Chase and his wife.

bad luck is the only luck Chase has....that and stupidity from his crew. Absolutely no way should you have pitted right there. You stay out, half the people are going to come in but at least 5 cars are gonna be between you and the fresh tires, you're car is good enough for 2 laps. Just lost yourself the 600

Anything can happen at the end of a race but Chase had two wins took away with couple laps to go within 5 days, now that's some bad luck but if he ever get everything straight and the Hendrick cars continue running like they been this year we could see a great run coming from Chase,Alex and Byron. Harvick got a decent finish at the end tonight by pit strategy but tonight was really disappointing race by all of SHR they couldn't run close to the Hendrick,Gibbs,Penske and Childress cars, hope something changes before Wednesday.

Amazing how XFINITY and Trucks have much better racing than the abomination that is the Cup Series. Bring on INDYCAR next weekend.

Congrats to Chase he deserved a win after the last couple races he's had. I don't know what could be wrong but I hope Harvick can start finishing were he runs throughout the race this is getting to be nonsense having a car like he did and barely finishing in the top 10.

Great race, best of the year easy imo. I can't believe Chase is losing the races he has,he could've easily win 4 straight. Hate it for Chase but glad Clint got a great finish.

Dover has lost one of their races in 2021 to Nashville, I may hit 2 races next year for craps n giggles

I'm glad Harvick got the win but I hate it for Clint after all the problems he had. I'm just glad one of them finished it off after the show they put on, I thought it was gonna slip away from both of them again.

What a finish in the Xfinity race, those young kids put a show on. I was hoping Jr could get the win before that last restart but top five not bad and it wasn't a win for Briscoe but what a drive coming from 6 laps down and still finishing 7th on the lead lap, I would love to seen what he could've done if all that didn't happen at the beginning

Another great finish to the Xfinity race today, two great finishes within 24 hours. I'm glad Chase got to show how strong he would've been yesterday if all that didn't happen at the beginning of the race and get his third win of the season. Not a huge Gragson fan but hate to see a young driver losing races like he did this weekend seems like he's having the same luck Elliott has the last month. Hope the Cup race can be anything like we seen in the two Xfinity races.

Another good finish to the Xfinity race, I was really hoping Jeb could get the win for his old man for father's day. Ward was always one of my favorites so it's really nice seeing Jeb getting some good runs when he's in the car. I don't wanna see nobody lose their job but I hope Jeb and Hemric can get full time rides with Jr maybe Allgaier retires,Gragson moves up or Annett gets replaced either way I think Jeb and Daniel can challenge for the championship every year if they get the opportunity.
