A forgettable finale to close a very forgettable season. Nothing really happened this season. Daytona 500 aside, which is memorable because Newman almost died, there's not a single memorable race that'll we'll talk above five, ten years from now.
I'll add that this year's "Championship 4" does nothing but add to the fact that you shouldn't bother watching the first 26 races. They're irrelevant. |

Daniel Hemric will drive the 18 Xfinity entry for Joe Gibbs next season.
NGOTS standout Brett Moffitt will move up to Xfinity in '21, driving a full schedule in the 02 for Our Motorsports.

I'm happy for Hemric that he got a great ride he deserves it but I know that probably means its about 100% chance Riley moving to SHR thats not something I'm very happy about. For me Hemric moves up my list as front runners for the Xfinity championship. He might grow on me and could be a good driver but I haven't been a fan of what I've seen so far when imo its a lot better fits for the team like Hemric,Jeb,Rhodes,Earnhardt,LaJoie,etc,etc. I just hope if the rumors are true and they getting a second car its somebody I really like until Deagan gets to Xfinity.

Jeb Burton will drive full-time for Kaulig Racing in Xfinity, replacing Ross Chastain in the 10.
John Hunter Nemechek will not return to Front Row Motorsports in the Cup Series after his rookie 2020 season.
11/23 Update: JH will drive full-time in the Truck Series, taking over for Raphael Lessard in KBM's 4.

Tony Kanaan will split the 48 Chip Ganassi ride with Jimmie Johnson for the 2021 IndyCar season. Johnson will participate in the 13 road/street circuit events, Kanaan will pilot the car for the 4 oval events.

Announcement expected soon concerning changes to the early Cup and Xfinity 2021 schedule. Auto Club's planned finale for the 2-mile layout is said to be cancelled for the Feb. 28 weekend. Homestead will be moved back a week, with the Daytona road course gaining the points-paying slot for the 2/21 weekend.
UPDATE: The changes were confirmed but NASCAR did state the plan is to run one final race on the current Auto Club configuration in 2022, delaying the renovation project until a future date.

Just an aesthetic thing so it should be no cause to help or hurt the sport. I'd rather the numbers stay on the door though. Sponsors are already plastered on everything except the driver's eyelids, so you'd get that valuable ad space when they blink.
