The store manager is just in utter stupification while I'm explaining this to him then his only response is "well its taped shut. It doesn't look like it was opened ever"

I've noticed that the new packaging seems even easier to open than it used to. I thought when they changed the packaging they'd be trying to make it more tamper-proof.....

Having worked at a tru service desk for several years, I dont remember anyone ever mentioning this possibility let alone actually encountering it. That I know of. Why would the service desk even question this return? I hardly think it is pathetic.

Why would the service desk even question this return? I hardly think it is pathetic. Interesting. But I disagree. There should be a red flag on all wwe figure returns IN MY OPINION, they have to be the most tempered with and swapped figures out there. It would take 30seconds for an employee to check stock and make sure the product is coming back as it left.

But tru is filled with thousands of collectible toys. Not everything can be checked with an item on the floor before return, or be red flagged. They could impliment a system that scans the bar code into amazon for every return I suppose, but I wonder if this isnt common enough for the extra measure. Edit: also this was almost ten years ago so I dont know the current system or policy.

I don't ever recall seeing a wwf hasbro figure switch lol.

Unfortunately this is more a society thing....you cant expect TRU to be an expert on every toy they have, people that do these switches are just absolutely pathetic.I don't remember ever seeing people steal toys when I was a kid growing up like we do today........same can be said about a lot of other things......
