I thought this would be an interesting topic:
What finishers have gotten stronger over time and which ones have gotten weaker?
Here's some examples:
Sheamus didn't always use the Brogue Kick as a finisher. He used to use the Razor's Edge, with the Brogue kick being more of a "false finish" spot like his rolling Samoan drop and Irish Curse backbreaker.
Before becoming one of the biggest match enders in history, Shawn Michaels' Superkick was just a normal move used in his matches.
Edge's spear is another example of this
On the flip side, the Big Show's chokeslam never puts people away anymore. The Angle slam has also gotten a lot weaker over the years.

Hmm good topic.......
I would say The Tombstone piledriver. It was HUGE deal when Kane kicked out of that @ WM14. Now? not so much.

The wall's of Jericho/Boston Crab used to be 'deadly' when Jericho put them in it and they'd always tap, during his last run though alot of people have gotten out of it.

To be fair, if Taker still worked full time I bet Wrestlemania would still be the only time people kick out of it.

Sharpshooter.
It used to end the match 90% of the time when Bret was using it.
However, once HBK, The Rock, Chris Benoit, Natlya, etc. started using it the luster wore off.

Although the Piledriver is now extinct, it used to be a match ender, then became just another move.
The DDT is now just another move.
The chokeslam lost all relevancy when Helms started using it.

During the feud with mayweather they said he underwent boxing lessons and out came the WMD. I mean I respect your opinion but my type of finishers are the realistic ones

The Leg Drop when done by anyone other than Hogan is just a regular move.

DDT-When Jake the Snake Roberts used to do it, nobody got up from it, but now everybody uses it as a regular move
Leg Drop-I used to think Hogan's Famous Leg Drop was as fatal as a gunshot, but then 500+ lbers like Yokozuna and Mabel were using it as a regular move and not even pinning the guy afterwards.

I never really got how Cena's Death Valley Driver now a firemans carry ever looked devastating enough to be a finisher. I mean..it's not much different impact wise to a regular suplex, powerslam etc; Then again that can be argued for many other moves I guess.

The super kick is a 100% a transitional move in the WWE since Shawn retired.

Wade Barrett's Wasteland was a finisher, then it became a set-up/near-fall move after he started using the Bullhammer.

This wasn't originally a finisher, but Daniel Bryan's running knee strike. He used to use it as a basic move by jumping off the apron, and now it knocks people out.
