I know I will get blasted by some folks but I'm glad he is gone. Worst character in the whole of WWE.... ever.

I don't expect Punk to make any mention of WWE. On his first appearance, I don't remember them saying anything about WWE, other than referring to him as a WWE Superstar. He's there to talk about The Walking Dead, not wrestling.
Furthermore, I could have sworn Punk booked his own appearance last time too. If I remember correctly, WWE didn't want him to do it, and he did it anyway.

Clearly WWE is still trying to get Punk back after Wrestlemania (in my opinion)... Vince recently addressed Punk's absence as a "sabbatical"... to me it really seems like they're hopeful that they can get Punk back in the mix in time for Summerslam, wherein he can maybe get that win over H that he's been owed for about 3 years.

I believe the story was that WWE didn't want him to do the apperance unless he plugged their product (I'd assume the upcoming pay-per-view). Who knows.

Except Austin's situation was nothing like that. The Austin comparison is in response to paychecks & merch sales. So in that respect it would be exactly the same. ^-^ nah I disagree.

Not Mantaur, not Hornswoggle, not the Gooker, not Who, not Meat, not Max Moon, not Beaver Cleaver but CM Punk. Your opinion is completely ridiculous.

I'm sick of all these deluded Punk fans. They act like he is the greatest thing to ever walk the earth when in reality he was nothing more than a supporting player in the WWE. He had his year long reign, he had matches with the Rock, he was in a title match at a WM. People act like the WWE is at fault when they did more for him than he deserved. Bottom line is he was a "B+" star, as HHH would put it, who thought he was bigger than he was. He was never the #1 face of the company, never was the #1 merch seller, and was never the face of the company. This isn't like Austin walking out in 2002 because Austin had a legit claim to still being the #1 guy in the company who was being wasted in pointless midcard feuds. Punk was still being featured in top storylines and threw a hissy fit because he wasn't the final match at WM.
Punk had a great career and people need to accept that and stop acting like the WWE treated him like crap.

And another thing, when the man is the leading merchandise seller, when his first Best In The World shirt is the top selling t-shirt in WWE history - even over Austin 3:16 and the nWo - I'd say he makes them alot of money, and him in the main event of WrestleMania would only make them even more money. Where's your source for your numbers?! Austins merchandising hasn't stopped selling since 1998 and just this week it was revealed that he's still one of the top selling merch lines, In 1998 alone he shifted 12 million t-shirts. I think he was joking. Either that or he's just talking rubbish. CM Punk doesn't even come close to touching Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and John Cena for overall merchandise sales, and it's laughable to think he had the biggest-selling wrestling t-shirt ever. Punk is/was the second biggest merchandise guy of the current roster, though. Him leaving does hurt WWE for merch revenue, but he was going to be leaving in July anyway.

I think CM Punk's greatest ability has been his ability to work his own hardcore fans into the delusion that he was held down by WWE. From the day he walked into the company, he was given a lot. Undefeated for about six months, teaming with DX at Survivor Series, fighting for the ECW title within a year of debuting, won the World title a year later, Intercontinental and tag reigns, led his own factions, fought on every WrestleMania since his debut, the longest WWE title run in the last 25 years, got two PPV singles main events with The Rock, fought Undertaker at WrestleMania, often given free reign to denigrate the company on TV, given a tour bus, etc etc. Most wrestlers would kill for that kind of "burial" and "holding down."

Just to chat and say what we think. You're welcome to your opinion just as I stated mine. However, it is an opinion so ranking as such and saying it is "..ridiculous." really means nothing to me. Thanks for the critique though.

Agreed 100%. The WWE gave him more than he probably deserved. Most performers would kill to have an ounce of what was given to Punk by the WWE yet in his DVD and interviews he constantly acted like he was held back. To me he's even more delusional than his fans. He really thinks he is the best in the world and that everything should revolve around him when the bottom line is he was never close to being as over as Cena. Sour grapes to me and I find it funny that people try to compare Punk leaving to Austin leaving in 2002. Two completely different situations.

Exactly man & as much as I hate to say it Daniel Bryan is taking Punks spot in respect to merch sales now anyway, I'm not a big fan but even I ordered a goat face T-shirt! lol

It's his life ambition and career goal, and despite earning it, he's been denied the opportunity to reach it, again and again. I'd say that's pretty selfish on their part. It's actually just deluded on your part, and his part too, if that's the way he thinks. There has never been a WrestleMania where CM Punk's match should have gone on last instead of what did, and there has never been a WrestleMania where CM Punk should have replaced anyone in a main event match or been added to a main event match. The only even remotely possible exception to this is if WrestleMania 27 had been a four-way with Punk and Orton added, and even then... The Rock interacting with Cena was the real main event, so Punk and his deluded fans would've still complained that he was being held down because he was portrayed as less important than The Rock and John Cena. Well Punk/'Taker should've gone on last, instead of the trashy match that closed the show last year. That match should've also been a triple-threat match... not only was it the most logical choice, at least Punk would've been able to save it from becoming the sh*t-show it turned out to be. The closing match of WM 27, should've been Cena and Punk - end of story. Miz should've been nowhere near a main-event of WM, and everybody - you included, knows it. Punk was still being featured in top storylines and threw a hissy fit because he wasn't the final match at WM. Punk had a great career and people need to accept that and stop acting like the WWE treated him like crap. He was never allowed to be. When it became apparent that he was getting close to Cena's spot, they poured cold water on him. He actually was the top merch seller for a brief period, so - just like pretty much everything else you posted, you're wrong about that too.

That match should've also been a triple-threat match... not only was it the most logical choice, at least Punk would've been able to save it from becoming the sh*t-show it turned out to be. All nonsense, completely fueled by fanboyism. Cena vs Rock II was a bigger match than a triple threat with CM Punk (who had already wrestled Cena a million times in the two years prior, and had just wrestled Rock twice), and was a far bigger match than CM Punk vs Undertaker. Again, nonsense. The Miz was on fire throughout 2009 and 2010, and was by far the right man for the WWE title that year. CM Punk was a commentator and leader of the lame New Nexus leading into that WrestleMania. And if Punk had been in that spot, his deluded fans (and himself, if he's as stupid as them) would've cried that he got pushed into the background by the Cena-Rock feud. Plus, if Punk had been the champion at that event, then his storyline at Money in the Bank that year would've never happened and he'd have either left that summer to no fanfare, or had a career like The Miz has had for the last three years.

Punk isn't going to say anything about WWE. Hardwick will introduce him as Phil Brooks, better known as professional wrestler CM Punk, and that will be the end of it. The rest of it will be him giving his opinion on a show he loves based on a comic book he reads every month. Not that big of a deal. I personally think all this dirtsheet stuff surrounding CM Punk is total horsesh*t. Feels like the internet is trying to create drama because they have zero information on the situation. I'd like to see him do an episode of the show next year. A guest character for a week or two, or at least a featured zombie. I would love to see that and think it's an awesome idea. I'd love to see him be a member of Cobra in the next GI Joe film as well.
