Mattel. I personally think the figures are more modern (obviously) and they just look better in every way.

Mattel. I personally think the figures are more modern (obviously) and they just look better in every way. I see you're point on them being more modern & they do have better articulation  But I prefer Jakks because they are very easy to customise there was'nt a Cena, Kane, Orton or Sheamus in every set and they produced more Superstars & Divas i liked & there classic superstar, set was better than the flashbacks we get now but that's my opinion |

There are 63 single carded Cenas made by Jakks.
Why even ask this question?
Jakks has variety
Mattel has quality
Jakks works for bigger guys
Mattel is better at making people
Jakks is better at making larger than life characters
The knockouts are okay
And if I hear "Jakks headscans are better" one more time I'm gonna blow. No they aren't. Some are but as a whole no.

Jakks is better for bigger wrestlers, Mattel is better for smaller wrestlers
Jakks was better at making figures for each person on the roster and could produce a figure for a new wrestler in 6 months rather than a year for Mattel
Jakks had better marketing and distribution
Jakks was more affordable

Depends on the criteria. If the criteria is quality figures, then Mattel. If the criteria is "pick a company that was making WWE figures in 2001" then Jakks.

I have to go with Jakks here If for no other reason than the fact that i had such a huge Jakks collection by the time they switched over.

I collect both. They both have their good points and their bad. I dont understand why people have to bash one or the other. Even though Mattel pulled ahead slightly from2010-2012, their quality control has been sucking so much on nearly every figure i see on the pegs,that the most they could do is tie with Jakks in my experience. If anything Jakks takes the quality category for me,as i never had them break as soon as opened up.
So for variety, quality control, and yes.....better headscans, Jakks wins.
For authenticity, scale, and attention to detail, Mattel wins.
Its pretty much 50/50

Amazing Headscans
Not glossy plastic
Better Tattoos
Tight joints
Better articulation
more realistic accessories
