Yeah Jakks did a really good job with this one. And although Mattel's Andre was great, since I already had this one from Jakks, I decided to pass on the new one. I didn't get Mattel's Andre either..even with the weaker of the Andre figures in my collection after seeing yours Mattel is an extension of my collection but wouldn't replace my jakks Thats how I view Jakks and Mattel too. I've got a decent size Jakks collection and a growing Mattel collection. If Mattel's version of someone is a big improvement I will pick up Mattel's version. In some cases I'll get rid of the Jakks figure, but in some cases I'll keep both versions. And there are some that even if Mattel makes a version of the figure, I'll still keep the Jakks version. I dont like either company over the other, both have their pros and cons.

looks like Andre went crazy and painted some straps onto his body, while huffing paint thinner

I never got the Mattel Andre, while I plan to do so, I still prefer the Jakks CS version.

I collect based on Hasbro (and what should've been), so I've gotten any Mattel that help match up, but I honestly do prefer Jakks style on many classics/legends. I got the blue Mattel Perfect but hate the height & all around body shape..dibiase in the cloth suit has the opposite problem & just seems so tiny (not exactly a legend figure but might as well be).

Oh yeah! Mattel's Bossman is one of my favorites. One of the figures that I did upgrade to Mattels and got rid of my Jakks version was Yokozuna. I love Mattel's Yoko except for maybe the arms. Yeah Perfect's height bothers me. I dont have the entrance Greats Dibiase, wish I did though. But as you pointed out, he seems tiny...he must be a hard person to make a figure of, cause remember Jakks CS Dibiase had the huge torso.
