A stacked card for WWE Night of Champions 2014 already
No doubt the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Lesnar and Punk will be the main event that closes out the show and honestly how could it not be? Lesnar I mean he just won the title at SummerSlam and here you have Punk who hasn't been WWE World Heavyweight Champion since 2013 his last title reign lasted 434 days and was ended at Royal Rumble 2013 by The Rock so something has got to give here
WWE Tag Team Championships Batista & Orton of The Authority taking on Cena & Roman Reigns of The Shield I mean could we see The Shield members the other Shield members Rollins & Ambrose here in this match? If we do will Rollins and Ambrose help Cena & Reigns? Or will Rollins & Ambrose cost Reigns & Cena the match turning their back on their Shield brother Reigns? Not to mention Batista & Orton have been WWE Tag Team Champions ever since Money in the Bank I think right? But to face a team like Cena & Reigns I mean perhaps their time could be running out
30-Minute Iron Man Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Ziggler defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus of The Authority the former WWE Intercontinental Champion, both of these men are former WWE World Heavyweight Champions not to mention they have had quite the rivalry and to see it all come down to an Iron Man Match I mean when is the last time we have had an Iron Man Match in the WWE? It has been that long and especially here in this diary this could be the match that I think steals the show
WWE United States Championship Six Pack Challenge Match, Del Rio defending his WWE United States Championship against Mr. Money in the Bank and Authority member Bad News Barrett, Goldust, Neville, The Miz and against Chris Jericho I mean Del Rio he has the odds stacked against him but he has proven over and over again that ever since becoming WWE United States Champion that he is a fighting champion I mean he has taken on all comers lately and he has been able to turn back challenge after challenge but defending his title here against 5 other guys I mean could we be looking at a new WWE United States Champion? Or will Del Rio be able to rise up and retain yet again?
WWE Women's Championship, Paige defending her WWE Women's Championship against Nikki Bella I mean Paige she has essentially made the WWE Women's Championship relevant again this title means something again and especially in the divas division which has been lacking so for Paige to defend this title I mean she has been taking on all comers but can she even beat Nikki? I mean Nikki has posed a threat so far
Rusev vs RVD, now this is another match that I am looking forward to

9/5/14 Edition
- Rob Van Dam's current run with the company is coming to an end soon. Many expect it to be over at Night of Champions after his match with Alexander Rusev. There are currently no plans for him to return again until at least 2016.
- The upcoming major round robin tournament that the WWE was mulling over is officially going to happen. Expect it to be a major deal, with the winner earning a WWE Championship. It will span episodes of Raw, Smackdown and even some house show matches that will be specially televised on the WWE Network, as well as some matches at Hell in a Cell. The tournament will feature 12 Superstars and should last from September until November.
- This week's "Season Premiere" of Raw will indeed be a bigger episode. Not only will we see the big Steel Cage match between Cody Rhodes and Goldust, but there is expected to be something major going down between CM Punk and Brock Lesnar. A big announcement about the Divas division is expected to come as well.
- Speaking of the Divas, original plans saw Nikki Bella getting a run with the belt and playing a top heel role. However, her and Brie have been looking into movie roles and may be leaving to film some things soon. The WWE is okay with this because they feel like it will help promote Total Divas. In her place, there are talks about who will take the place as the top heel of the division. Some people want to call Charlotte up shortly, while some want to see Emma turn and a few are wanting to move Summer Rae into a more prominent role.

Friday Night Smackdown: September 5th, 2014 – Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska
This week’s Smackdown kicks off with the weekly intro video featuring the Superstars and Divas of the WWE. We then go down to Michael Cole, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Tom Phillips, who welcome everyone to the show, just a few days away from the big Season Premiere of Raw this Monday. The crowd erupts at the arrival of our first guest tonight. The music of John Cena is heard as he steps out through the curtains to his usual mixed reaction. He talks into the camera, saying that the fans in Lincoln are certainly loud tonight. He runs down to the ring and slides in before being handed a microphone. He puts over the fans once again before saying that there was some good old fashioned controversy on Raw this past Monday. He admits that Roman Reigns selecting him as his partner came as a surprise. “I had no idea that was going to happen, but who am I to turn down a chance to become one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions? I’ve been in the ring with him and I’ve seen him the past few months, so I know that Roman Reigns is one tough son of a bitch. There aren’t many people that I’d rather have in my corner against two future Hall of Famers like Batista and Randy Orton.” He is cut off by the theme of the Shield, as the three members make their way down to the ring through the crowd. Dean Ambrose is the one to speak when they get in the ring, saying that he still doesn’t agree with Roman’s decision. “Trying to keep everything peaceful just means that the Shield doesn’t become Tag Team Champions. Instead, you get another chance to pad your already loaded resume.” Cena and Ambrose come face to face when Roman steps in between them, calming them down. Before he can speak, the former Intercontinental Champion’s theme hits as Sheamus walks out onto the stage. He says that he is sorry to break up this lovely drama but he’s out here for business. “I am out here at the request of Stephanie McMahon to start my scheduled match right now. So that means that everyone who isn’t Seth Rollins needs to clear the ring so I can Brogue Kick his head off.” Roman Reigns continues to try and smooth things over with Ambrose, who is still bickering at John Cena. They all exit the ring allowing for our opening contest after a commercial break. SETH ROLLINS VS. SHEAMUS; Returning from break, the other Shield members and John Cena have left ringside. Seth Rollins and Sheamus trade early offense before Sheamus gets in the driver’s seat. He pounds away on Rollins, beating him all over the ring and tossing him around. Seth continues to prove how resilient he is though, using his aerial ability to turn things around. He hits some springboard offense, including a flying knee to get a near fall. Seth goes for the Curb Stomp but Sheamus avoids it. He goes for a Brogue Kick but Seth ducks that and hits a Pele kick. Before he can capitalize though, Sheamus just hits him with a low blow, causing the official to call for the bell. Seth Rollins defeats Sheamus via disqualification in 10:57!Before Sheamus can do any more damage, Dolph Ziggler runs out to the ring, looking for some measure of revenge after being forced to run a gauntlet and getting attacked on Raw. Sheamus is quick to drop down and exit the ring though, avoiding any confrontation with the Intercontinental Champion. Dolph dares him to get back in, but Sheamus points to his head, insinuating that he’s too smart for that.
We are now taken to a live feed of Cody Rhodes, who is with us via satellite tonight. Michael Cole goes to ask him a question but he quickly and respectfully interrupts. He says that he didn’t agree to this to answer questions or really have an interview. He did this because he has a message for his brother. “I’ve said my piece and you’ve said yours. I didn’t shun you like you were during the 90’s. I accepted you as my brother and my tag team partner. You turned your back on that, not me. This Monday, inside of the Steel Cage, I am not going to try and play the loving brother. I’m done with that after SummerSlam. I am going to end you Dustin. I’m coming for blood for what you did to dad and this family.
DAMIEN SANDOW W/ THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT VS. DARREN YOUNG; After the bell, Darren Young and Damien Sandow circle the ring. Young stops to talk to Titus O’Neil at ringside. Xavier Woods is confused as it seems like Young is trying to talk to Titus about the way the Age of Enlightenment treats him. This allows Sandow to attack from behind, before yelling at Titus to ignore the ignorant words of Young. Young manages to score a near fall shortly after, but falls to the You’re Welcome from Sandow to end this. Damien Sandow defeats Darren Young in 3:02!Titus O’Neil enters the ring and surprisingly, checks on Darren Young. Damien Sandow and Xavier Woods celebrate, ignoring Titus. When they realize what he’s doing, they stop him and demand he celebrate with them. Begrudgingly, he does.
Footage is now shown to recap the ongoing issues between AJ Lee, Paige and the Bella Twins. We see AJ attack Paige after getting help from her this past Monday. A tweet is shown on screen that Paige posted yesterday, saying that she was told of a major announcement that will be coming this Monday on the Season Premiere of Raw, regarding the Divas division. Cutting away, Byron Saxton is standing by with the Women’s Champion herself, Paige. He asks her about the big announcement on Raw, but she tells him that she has to stay quiet about it. “Triple H, who has done wonders for the women’s division in the WWE, has sworn me to secrecy. However, what I can tell you about, is little AJ Lee.” Paige says that AJ Lee clearly still has a problem with the fact that Paige beat her for the Divas Title. “My focus is on Nikki Bella and keeping this belt at Night of Champions but AJ Lee, you need to understand that I will not forget about you. I promise you that much.”
Returning to the arena, Lana and Alexander Rusev are in the ring. She has a microphone and starts to talk about Rob Van Dam. “You are sure to be a future WWE Hall of Famer. Unfortunately for you, Mr. Van Dam, that just makes you just like Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan, Jim Duggan and all of the other legends who have tried to step in the way of the ‘Super Athlete’. You will be CRUSHED at Night of Champions, just like Zack Ryder here will now.” ALEXANDER RUSEV W/ LANA VS. ZACK RYDER; Zack Ryder aggressively charges at the bell but it proves to be a mistake. Alexander Rusev just wallops him and dominates this match. Ryder gets next to no offense and the only reason it lasts as long as it does is because Rusev seems to want to toy with him. He locks in the Accolade for the win. Alexander Rusev defeats Zack Ryder in 1:48!
The fans in Lincoln boo loudly as Alexander Rusev and Lana stand over Zack Ryder’s fallen body. She raises his arm in the air while commentary mentions that Rob Van Dam is certainly in for one of the toughest matches of his career at Night of Champions.
This Monday night, catch the Season Premiere of Raw! Cody Rhodes will meet Goldust in a Steel Cage match, plus, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar will sign the official contract for their massive WWE Championship match at Night of Champions!
The cameras now catch the Shield backstage. Tensions are clearly still high as we don’t hear what they’re saying but they are clearly animated. Most of this comes from Dean Ambrose, who is very frustrated. Seth Rollins isn’t saying much, but Roman Reigns is still trying to calm things down. Suddenly, Seth jumps in and starts talking, which manages to bring Dean down a notch. Due to whatever Seth said, the Shield seem to be back on track temporarily. ALICIA FOX VS. NIKKI BELLA W/ BRIE BELLA; The crowd is very against the Bella Twins here, but one has to admit that Nikki Bella has been very impressive as of late. Ever since Nikki convinced her sister to take on a more aggressive style and have more of an attitude, they’ve found more success. Alicia Fox uses her long legs to gain an early upper hand. Nikki weathers the storm and connects on the Rack Attack to gain momentum heading into her Women’s Championship match. Nikki Bella defeats Alicia Fox in 4:07!Brie Bella slides in the ring to raise her sister’s arm, but their enjoyment is cut short by the music of AJ Lee. The former longest reigning Divas Champion in history skips down to the ring with a microphone. She enters the ring and stands across from the Bella Twins. Instead of saying something though, she just drops the microphone and takes down Brie before firing away with right hands. Nikki pulls her off and the Bella Twins double team her. Paige runs down to the ring and makes the save. She attacks the number one contender as Brie and AJ do battle. AJ and Paige bump into each other at one point, turning the tide in favor of the Bellas. Brie plants AJ with the Bella Buster and Nikki lays out Paige with the Rack Attack. They stand over AJ and Paige, making a “L” on their forehead, signaling that the ladies are losers. CHRIS JERICHO VS. THE MIZ W/ SUMMER RAE; Thanks to Triple H, both of these men were officially placed into a Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions, with the WWE United States Championship at stake. Alberto Del Rio joins commentary to scout his opponents, while commentary reminds him that he can use the WWE Network to watch Jericho and Miz from Battleground earlier this year. This match follows a similar pattern to that one, except that this time around, it is Miz who scores the win with a rollup and a handful of tights. The Miz defeats Chris Jericho in 8:01!
Alberto Del Rio looks on, seemingly noting that he needs to watch out for the sneaky, underhanded tactics of the Miz. Miz and Summer Rae head up the ramp celebrating, while a frustrated and dejected Chris Jericho looks on in disbelief.
Commentary now takes the time to hype and promote the upcoming specials on the WWE Network. First, we will see NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution this Wednesday, featuring Adrian Neville defending his NXT Championship against Corey Graves. Then, in just over two weeks, Night of Champions comes to you. Brock Lesnar defends the WWE Championship against CM Punk while John Cena and Roman Reigns team up to face Randy Orton and Batista with the WWE Tag Team Titles on the line! BAD NEWS BARRETT AND KANE VS. JOHN CENA AND ROMAN REIGNS; Conspicuous by their absence is the other two members of the Shield. It seems like that might be weighing on the head of Roman Reigns, who looks around while on the apron a few times. Bad News Barrett and Kane cut the ring in half, focusing their attention on John Cena. Cena isn’t one to stay down for long though, rallying and hitting an Attitude Adjustment from out of nowhere on Barrett. He’s too hurt to cover as both men are down. They crawl and make the respective tags. Reigns comes in hot, hitting all sorts of power moves on Kane. He is able to connect on the Spear, earning him the three. John Cena and Roman Reigns defeat Bad News Barrett and Kane in 14:03!Roman Reigns gets to his feet and lets out a loud roar. John Cena joins him and raises his arm, enjoying their victory. Bad News Barrett assists Kane out of the ring, as the Authority chooses to fight another day. While Reigns and Cena continue to celebrate, the cameras catch Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in the stands looking on.

It is obvious to me that The Shield have issues and Cena well he is the root of those issues especially since Reigns chose Cena as a partner instead of Ambrose or even Rollins I mean the tension is so high that you can cut it with a knife
Seth Rollins beating Sheamus by DQ, I mean it is obvious to me that Sheamus wanted no part of Rollins there because it was pretty obvious not only to me but to everyone that Rollins was well on his way to winning this match but Sheamus he didn't care about winning this match but resorted to desperation tactics like getting himself DQed because he wanted to punish Rollins a little bit but then seeing Ziggler come to Rollins' aid post-match and Sheamus bailing like a coward, I mean these 2 have each other at Night of Champions for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in the 30 Minute Iron Man Match but still this segment was everything I expected it to be
For Cody Rhodes this Steel Cage Match against his brother Goldust to him it is more personal to him it is more than just a match it is all about 2 brothers beating the holy hell out of each other ending each other once and for all and that is why on RAW this Monday one way or another on the Season Premiere of RAW this rivalry this family feud will come to an end in that Cage but I wonder if Dusty Rhodes their father will be there to watch this all go down?
Sandow beating Darren Young, I mean this match basically in a sense is setting a seed for Titus to turn babyface and reform The Primetime Players with Darren Young I mean especially after Titus went to check on his former friend his former tag team partner and The Age of Enlightenment Sandow and Woods seeing this I mean they might as well cut their losses as far as Titus goes
I wonder what this huge announcement is as far as the WWE Divas division is concerned perhaps this means one of the divas in NXT right now will be called up to the main roster? If it is then I wonder who it will be?
Paige the WWE Women's Champion she is focused on Nikki Bella and defending her title at Night of Champions but after the way Paige has been attacked week in week out I mean is she even at 100 percent? I wonder if AJ Lee will get involved in the match at Night of Champions? Or if somehow this match will end up becoming a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women's Championship instead at Night of Champions?
Rusev beating Ryder yet another dominating display I mean Rusev is still undefeated and honestly just look at the long list of names he has already beaten and Ryder is the latest in a long list of superstars who have tried their hand at beating Rusev but no one can no one has been able to and RVD I don't see him doing it at Night of Champions
I am telling you we are beginning to see the destruction of The Shield I mean it is the beginning of the end and honestly I see Rollins & Ambrose both turning on Reigns I mean it is inevitable at this point
Nikki Bella the #1 Contender for the WWE Women's Championship beating Alicia Fox, I mean Nikki she needs momentum and I mean that in a good way because lately in this run up to Night of Champions Nikki has hardly been winning any matches so she needed to go over here but post-match AJ showing up and The Bellas double-teaming AJ only for Paige to make the save or try to but the segment ending in The Bellas standing tall, could we see that at Night of Champions? Could we see Nikki become the new WWE Women's Champion?
The Miz like it or not he has been gaining momentum a lot of it lately by winning match after match and the fact that he beat Jericho another one of the 6 men that will be in the WWE United States Championship Six Pack Challenge Match at Night of Champions, Miz could become the next WWE United States Champion and with Summer Rae by his side I mean how could it not be that far of a stretch to think that Miz can't get the job done? Miz is a former WWE United States Champion his last run with that title was like 2010 but Jericho I don't think he has ever been WWE United States Champion ever in his career he might have held that title when he was in WCW but he hasn't in WWE but Del Rio ever since he has become WWE United States Champion he has taken on all comers and he has to defend that title this time against 5 other guys I mean the odds are not in his favor
I told you Reigns has to expect this I mean The Shield are his brothers and he chose Cena over them so he has to know that since he did that they aren't going to be in his corner but Cena & Reigns somehow still winning this match beating Authority members Mr. Money in the Bank Wade Barrett & Corporate Kane while Rollins & Ambrose look on I mean after that it looks like Ambrose & Rollins for sure will definitely be turning on Reigns now

If RVD doesn't return in this diary until at least 2016 then that is a really long time for him to be gone but I wonder then how you are going to fill that void especially if he leaves again?
So the winner of this tournament whatever the tournament is, it will last from September to November then I guess this means the winner of this tournament will get a WWE Championship match at Survivor Series 2014? Am I right? Or will the winner of this tournament be getting their WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at TLC 2014 instead? Or will they get their match at the 2015 Royal Rumble PPV?
This Season Premiere of RAW is becoming a really big deal
If The Bellas do leave then who can fill the top heel role in the divas division? The only divas that come into mind for me anyway are Charlotte since she is the daughter of The Nature Boy Ric Flair, I mean her father is probably one of the greatest heels of all time I mean Ric Flair during the majority of his AWA/NWA/WCW run he was a heel with The Four Horsemen and even in WWE he was a heel with Evolution so no doubt his daughter Charlotte could be as good a heel as her father was or even better who knows but if you turn Emma heel I wouldn't have a problem with that either or hell how about Sasha Banks? You could call up Sasha and have her become the new top heel of the divas division or how about Summer Rae? So many options

Monday Night Raw: September 8th, 2014 – Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland
Before the weekly Raw intro, we are taken to a short video hyping tonight’s show as the “Season Premiere”. Cutting to the sold out arena in Baltimore, the ominous steel cage is lowered down as the crowd erupts, knowing that we are going to kick things off with the next, and possibly final chapter, in this sibling rivalry. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL introduce the show and give a quick rundown of the history between these brothers.
STEEL CAGE MATCH – CODY RHODES VS. GOLDUST; The brothers come face to face in the middle of the ring. There is a fire in Cody Rhodes’ eyes that we haven’t ever seen when he looks at his brother. Goldust slaps Cody, leading Cody to tackle him to the mat and just lay into him. Cody continues the hot start, just overwhelming Goldust until the elder Rhodes member catches him with a low blow. Goldust begins to use the steel cage as a weapon, sending Cody into it and grating his face on it. Goldust makes the first few attempts to leave but Cody manages to stop him. He rallies and busts out his dad’s signature bionic elbow. Cody looks to climbs out of the cage, but looks down on his brother as he stands on the top. Cody isn’t content with just winning like this and decides to leap from the top with a moonsault onto Goldust, who is just getting to his feet! The crowd comes unglued as Coy and Goldust lay in the middle of the ring and slowly get to their feet. Cody has the advantage and hits Cross Rhodes, scoring the win. Cody Rhodes defeats Goldust in 16:59!
The WWE Universe comes to their feet to cheer for Cody Rhodes, who can barely get to his knees. He is exhausted but his eyes show a mixture of relief at ending this feud with his brother, but also some sadness at having to go through this whole ordeal. One has to wonder what’s next for Cody Rhodes now that this is finished.
Returning, we see Triple H in his office with an angry Stephanie McMahon. She continues to question some of his decisions and wants to know where his head is at. “Look Steph, I already told you, I’m trying to do what’s best for business, not just what’s best for the Authority. I gave Barrett a US Title shot and put Alberto Del Rio in a tough situation for what he did to me, but in the process, I also gave other guys chances. The people seem to like it.” Stephanie shakes her head and at least agrees with the major announcement that Triple H is set to make regarding the Divas division later tonight.
Dolph Ziggler steps through the curtain to a roar of cheers as he has the Intercontinental Championship draped over his shoulder. We are reminded that he has to defend that belt in a 30 minute Ironman match at Night of Champions against Sheamus. Dolph enters the ring and starts talking about how tough he expects the Ironman match to be. He says that he has to be conditioned better than he ever has been and has been doing everything in his power to prepare. “I’ve been using this little thing called the WWE Network to check out past Ironman matches for the low price of just $9.99” Dolph says with a chuckle. He then says that the one match he has watched more than any is the original Ironman match from WrestleMania 12 and has a special guest with him tonight. He introduces Bret Hart, who comes out to a thunderous pop from the fans in Baltimore. Bret walks to the ring, shakes Dolph’s hand and gets a microphone. He thanks Dolph for reaching out to him and says that he is more than happy to help out the current crop of WWE stars in situations like this, especially someone that he finds so talented in Dolph Ziggler. “Now I know that I unfortunately lost at WrestleMania 12, but I’ve advised Dolph to pay attention to the strategy that I carried into that match.” Before Bret Hart can continue, Sheamus’ theme plays as he comes out with a microphone and straight up tells Bret to shut his mouth. Dolph Ziggler tries to interject but Sheamus just continues on, saying that Dolph is showing just how much of a coward he is. “You need to go out and talk to Hall of Famers about how to handle an Ironman match. You’re trying to get all of the advice in the world on how to survive in the ring for thirty minutes with me but I got news for you fella. Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Triple H or anyone else that has competed in an Ironman match can’t help you because none of them faced anyone like me in one. You need to understand that you’re going to be in the ring with me for half an hour. So even if I destroy you in ten minutes, I get to kick your arse for twenty more and there’s nothing you can do about it. By the time the match is over, I may have 15 falls to nothing.” Sheamus is now in the ring and Dolph now interjects, saying that Sheamus can talk all he wants, but he was the one who was left on his back at SummerSlam. Dolph tells Bret that they should just go, but Bret stops him and calls Sheamus disrespectful. Sheamus doesn’t allow him to continue, charging for a Brogue Kick. Dolph jumps in front and takes the brunt of the blow. Officials and security run out to protect Bret Hart, who is concerned for Dolph. Sheamus leaves with a huge grin on his face. ALICIA FOX VS. NAOMI; Naomi is now officially separated from her Funkadactyls partner Cameron after last week. This is her first shot at a singles match without her former friend at her side. Alicia Fox proves to be a bit tough but Naomi is too much. She nails the Rear View to claim the win. Naomi defeats Alicia Fox in 2:22!The celebration of Naomi is cut short by some unfamiliar theme music. It turns out to be the new tune for the entrance of Cameron. She walks onto the stage with a small mirror in her hand, staring at herself. She looks up at Naomi, does the girl bye hand signal and turns to leave.
In the back, the Shield is shown. Roman Reigns tells them that he is still standing by his decision to pick John Cena as his partner. Dean Ambrose says that’s fine for now because he and Seth Rollins have a great opportunity tonight. “Tonight, we get our hands on Batista and Randy Orton. We are going to show you why you should have picked one of us.” Seth Rollins chimes in, telling Dean to chill. He admits that they are going to beat the Tag Team Champions, but says that he understands why Reigns did what he did. Reigns is still unsure, realizing that he may have caused more problems with his choice than any other option would have brought.
The ring is set up for a contract signing and Triple H is standing by the table. He addresses the fans, reminding them about the huge WWE World Heavyweight Championship match coming up at Night of Champions between champion Brock Lesnar and challenger CM Punk. Triple H first brings out Punk, who comes out to a huge ovation from the WWE Universe. There is a bit of tension when he gets into the ring but Triple H assures that SummerSlam is in the past and he’s here as the COO to oversee things. He then introduces Brock Lesnar, who is accompanied by Paul Heyman. Brock and Punk sit across from each other, while Heyman stands. HHH states that after the massive brawl last week, they are not to touch each other. “If you hit Brock, you lose your shot and Brock, if you hit Punk, you will be stripped of the title. We are not going to have another war like last week. Saving that for Night of Champions is what’s best for business.” Punk and Lesnar don’t take their eyes off each other, but both nod in agreement. Punk signs the contract first and speaks to Brock. He tells him that he knows Paul Heyman is his mouthpiece but he wants to hear from Brock tonight. “This isn’t about him like it was last year. This is about you and I. This is about the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. A belt that I held for 434 days and a belt that I want back more than anything else in the world. You are standing in the way of that and I am going to run right through you at Night of Champions.” Punk drops the microphone on the table and stares a hole through Brock. Brock doesn’t break eye contact and picks up the microphone. Paul Heyman even looks surprised at this. Brock keeps it simple and tells Punk that he can talk a big game but things are different when they meet. “It’s going to be ugly at Night of Champions and I’m going to hurt you.” Brock leaves it at that and signs. He gets up and the two men come face to face, with Triple H stepping in between, reminding them of the clause in the contract. Brock steps away with a smile and exits the ring with Paul Heyman as CM Punk looks on, knowing that they meet in less than two weeks. BAD NEWS BARRETT VS. ROB VAN DAM; One of the men trying to win the United States Championship at Night of Champions takes on the man who looks to end Alexander Rusev’s undefeated streak. RVD lights up Barrett with various kicks at the start, overwhelming him and causing Mr. Money in the Bank to regroup on the outside. After a commercial break, Barrett hops in the driver’s seat and targets the head of RVD. He ends up hitting Wasteland and calling for the Bull Hammer. He goes for it but RVD ducks and, using his legs, rolls Barrett up into a unique rollup to steal the three count. Rob Van Dam defeats Bad News Barrett in 9:54!Rob Van Dam quickly rolls out of the ring as Bad News Barrett is left in disbelief at the loss. Since losing the United States Championship at SummerSlam, he just cannot snap out of this funk and it doesn’t bode well for Night of Champions. When RVD reaches the top of the ramp, he does his signature taunt but is clobbered from behind by Alexander Rusev. Rusev stomps on RVD and locks him in the Accolade while Lana walks up next to him with a microphone. She reminds everyone that Rusev is the “Super Athlete” and is also going to go down as the greatest Superstar in WWE history. “No one, not even you Rob Van Dam, will be able to stop Rusev. He will CRUSH you at Night of Champions, just like he’s crushing you right now. Oh what’s what? You want mercy?” Officials are out to try and pry Rusev off. Lana gets serious after asking the question and says “you will find none here.” She gives the signal and Rusev releases the hold, but the damage has been done.
A short promo video is shown to hype this Thursday night’s NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution event. Corey Graves will get a shot at Adrian Neville’s NXT Championship, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defend the NXT Tag Team Titles against the Ascension and Charlotte puts the NXT Women’s Championship on the line against her former BFF, Sasha Banks! ADRIAN NEVILLE AND EVAN BOURNE VS. COREY GRAVES AND SOLOMON CROWE; A special treat for the fans tonight as four of the top stars in NXT compete in a preview of TakeOver. Fans are used to Adrian Neville by now and welcome Evan Bourne back with open arms. Corey Graves and Solomon Crowe get less favorable responses from the WWE Universe. The teams work at a brisk pace, looking to show off their skillsets for the Monday night crowd. Graves and Crowe are the more aggressive team, but the high flying abilities of Bourne and Neville are breathtaking. A Red Arrow on Crowe scores the pinfall. Adrian Neville and Evan Bourne defeat Corey Graves and Solomon Crowe in 6:11!Adrian Neville has his arm raised in victory by Evan Bourne as they celebrate a victory on the big stage of the Season Premiere of Raw. Corey Graves looks on from the outside, pissed at the outcome but also doesn’t seem to care about his partner.
We are now joined by Stephanie McMahon as one of the principle owners of the WWE comes down to the ring. Michael Cole informs us that she is not scheduled to be here right now, but JBL shouts him down saying that when your last name is McMahon, you can do whatever you want. Stephanie enters the ring and greets the crowd, who respond with nothing but boos. She basks in them before continuing, saying that she is out here for a historic moment tonight. “As you know, there is supposed to be a big announcement regarding our Divas tonight and I am here to inform you all of it. You see, women like the Bella Twins, AJ Lee, the stars of Total Divas and, even though I disagree with the things she does, our Women’s Champion Paige, have changed the way people look at our Divas. They are must-see television and we’ve heard what you people have been saving online. We know that you want more Divas.” The fans pop for this as Stephanie continues with the announcement. “In just a few weeks on October 3rd, we will present Divas Smackdown! An entire episode of Smackdown will be devoted to the women of the WWE in an unprecedented move.” The fans cheer but they cheer louder at the sound of the WWE Women’s Champion’s music. Paige comes down to the ring, not taking her eyes off of Stephanie McMahon. When she gets inside, she get a microphone and says that Stephanie has some nerve. “You’re seriously going to come out here and say ‘we’ like you had anything to do with any of this. There are three groups responsible for Divas Smackdown. One, the women in that locker room that bust our ass nightly to make this division something worth seeing. Two, these people out here that want to see more of us. And lastly, your husband Triple H. The man who gave myself and Emma the time to put on a women’s match that is fondly remembered by these people. The man who has continued to give the women of NXT the shine that they deserve. The man who was the mastermind behind this Smackdown idea. You just couldn’t handle that though could you? Because you’re a woman in power you felt like this somehow needed to have your name and seal of approval attached to it. I got news for you Stephanie. It doesn’t and we don’t need you.” Stephanie responds with venom, asking who the hell Paige thinks she is. The music of the Bella Twins hits as Nikki and Brie walk down to the ring. Nikki has a microphone and basically asks Paige the same question. She calls Stephanie McMahon a saint and says that without a woman like Stephanie in power, the Divas of this company would not get the opportunities that we have gotten. You can say it was all Triple H, but we all know that behind every great man is a great woman and that is Stephanie. I mean, could you think of any other woman that could run this company?” Paige responds by saying that the only reason Stephanie is in power is because of her last name. This causes the fans to let out a giant “ooh” as Stephanie steps towards Paige and reaches back to slap her. Brie holds Stephanie’s arm back and Nikki strikes Paige. The Bella Twins attack Paige while Stephanie looks on. AJ Lee runs down to the ring and tackles Brie Bella. She throws Brie outside and looks over at Nikki beating on Paige, before turning back to Brie, refusing to help Paige. AJ tosses Brie into the guardrail and stands over her fallen body, but looks inside to see Nikki drop Paige with the Rack Attack. Nikki and AJ lock eyes, but neither girl attacks. “With Divas Smackdown on the horizon, the division is full of women looking to destroy each other” says Michael Cole. DARREN YOUNG VS. TITUS O’NEIL W/ THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT; This past Friday on Smackdown, Damien Sandow met Darren Young and Young pleaded his case to Titus O’Neil to get away from the Age of Enlightenment. He tries again here and Titus listens for a bit but decides to pound away on him. He looks to be on the verge of victory when Young rolls him up for the 1-2-3. Darren Young defeats Titus O’Neil in 2:41!When the bell rings, the Age of Enlightenment immediately jump into the ring and beat on Darren Young for stealing a win against their partner. Titus O’Neil isn’t happy with the loss, or seeing his former partner take a beating, but he doesn’t do anything to stop it. Damien Sandow plants Young with the You’re Welcome. They turn to Titus, who is looking down at Young and Xavier Woods urges him to leave him behind.
Michael Cole now directs us to a WWE produce tribute to comedy legend Joan Rivers, who recently passed away untimely. The WWE remembers Joan.
NON-TITLE MATCH: ALBERTO DEL RIO VS. THE MIZ W/ SUMMER RAE; Chris Jericho, the only member of the upcoming Six Pack Challenge not in action tonight, joins commentary for this. He discusses how he is scouting all of his opponents and mentions that of all the championships he’s won in his career, the United States Title has eluded him. The match itself sees Alberto Del Rio holding serve, only for Miz to get a rollup for a near fall. Del Rio goes for a big superkick but Miz ducks and hits a low blow, resulting in a disqualification. Alberto Del Rio defeats The Miz via disqualification in 4:24!The Miz looks to continue on this assault but Chris Jericho slides into the ring and runs him off. Miz and Summer Rae head up the ramp with Miz yelling that when the title is on the line, he will pin Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho. Del Rio looks up at Jericho who stares back. Jericho gets the US Title from the referee, looks at it and hands it to the reigning champion.
We are now informed that a math has been confirmed for this Friday's episode of Smackdown. After the issues that occurred earlier, AJ Lee will be stepping into the ring against the number one contender for the WWE Women's Championship, Nikki Bella!
Going backstage, Renee Young is standing by with John Cena. She asks for his thoughts on the issues with the Shield. Cena responds by saying that he doesn’t mean to come off as offensive or anything but it doesn’t concern him. “What does concern me is Roman Reigns and the WWE Tag Team Titles. Whether him picking me is an issue for Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins is of no concern to me. Tonight, I’ll be watching the main event and preparing for Night of Champions. That’s it.”
We are now taken to a special look at the upcoming CM Punk/Brock Lesnar match in under two weeks. It is set to “Title Fight” by Blitz Kids and shows footage of their fight at SummerSlam last year, before we see CM Punk return and chase the title, only to lose to Daniel Bryan. Brock’s decimation of John Cena and Bryan is shown before we see Punk lay down the challenge and their brawl last week. These two are set for war at Night of Champions. NON-TITLE MATCH: BATISTA AND RANDY ORTON VS. DEAN AMBROSE AND SETH ROLLINS; This is not the first time that these two teams have faced off but there may have never been more pride on the line than there is tonight. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are out to prove they are more than worthy of being Roman Reigns’ partner. They start red hot, showing that they mean business. The teamwork and viciousness of Batista and Randy Orton turns the tide, putting them in control as they work over Rollins for an extended length of time. Rollins hits a Pele to get free and tags in Ambrose, who just goes nuts against everyone. He sets up Dirty Deeds but Batista runs in and levels him with a huge clothesline. Rollins goes to springboard in but Batista catches him with a spinebuster. As Ambrose gets up, Orton plants him with an RKO and gets the victory. Batista and Randy Orton defeat Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in 16:20!The brutal tandem of Batista and Randy Orton aren’t through yet, looking to hurt the Shield members like they did the Usos. Roman Reigns runs down through the crowd though and looks for a fight. He doesn’t stay undermanned long as his partner for Night of Champions, John Cena, rushes out to even the odds. They fight off Batista and Orton and send them packing. Orton is hit with a Superman punch and falls right into an Attitude Adjustment from Cena. Reigns goes to help his Shield brethren out while Cena looks on before deciding to help. Dean Ambrose just shoves him away, causing Cena to clearly get irritated. Cena gets in his face and once again, Roman Reigns has to play the peacemaker, keeping them separate as Raw comes to a close.

To start off the Season Premiere of RAW I loved that you started it off with the Steel Cage Match with the brothers, brother vs brother, Goldust and Cody Rhodes and it all coming to a head I mean you want to set the tone for this Season Premiere and Cody Rhodes getting the best of his brother Goldust beating his older brother in the cage I mean after this I wonder if either man will ever be the same again especially after this Steel Cage Match? I know their father The American Dream Dusty Rhodes had to be at home watching this match and if he was then surely the best place for him to watch it was at home rather than being there live because if he was then I know Dusty he would have gotten involved in this match or he would have tried to stop this match from happening but now that Cody Rhodes has beaten his brother in the cage I too wonder what is next for Cody Rhodes? I wonder if this means Cody will set his sights on the WWE Intercontinental Championship? Or if he will set his sights on the WWE United States Championship?
But for Goldust this kind of kills his momentum going into Night of Champions especially since he is in that WWE United States Championship Six Pack Challenge Match facing off against Miz, Jericho, the WWE United States Champion Del Rio, Mr. Money in the Bank & Authority member Wade Barrett and Neville or maybe after this loss to Cody perhaps it will cause Goldust to actually become much more vicious and ruthless
Triple H and Stephanie I see the tension still there between the 2 of them I mean it makes me wonder if we could be seeing The Authority crumble here? I mean their differences in opinion I mean and not to mention the fact that the superstars in The Authority are losing momentum too and also whatever seems to be best for business isn't really working out for them right now but I am glad that the husband and wife duo can at least see that they can agree on some things and compromise on other things too
To think Sheamus he was about to attack a WWE Hall of Famer like Bret The Hitman Hart, like is he crazy? Bret Hart he is one of the greatest of all time and not to mention he paved the way for guys like Sheamus to even be in this business and Ziggler at least he has respect but also Ziggler since he has become WWE Intercontinental Champion he has been a fighting champion but also he is restoring prestige to that title like so many others who have worn that title like Bret but I love that Ziggler basically took the brunt of Sheamus' attack even though if Sheamus had attacked Bret then it would have been the perfect way for him to get even more heel heat but at the same time this Iron Man Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship between Sheamus and Ziggler at Night of Champions has more or less become personal now
Naomi in her first singles match since the Funkadactyls broke up beats Alicia Fox, I mean this just goes to show you that perhaps Naomi and Cameron breaking up was for the best especially if Naomi on her own is proving that she just may be better than Cameron but seeing Cameron come out post-match, whatever message she sent or tried to send to Naomi was definitely mind games but Naomi didn't let Cameron get into her head but eventually one of these days she will and when that happens I want to see the 2 of them go in that ring
Yes I think Reigns has caused more problems in The Shield especially by picking Cena to be his tag team partner because at one time didn't The Shield hate John Cena? I fully swear Cena was an enemy of The Shield and now Reigns is all buddy buddy with him I could see why Rollins and Ambrose would have a problem with that given their history with Cena but it seems whatever The Authority tried to do to break up The Shield it seems to be working because The Authority don't even have to do a thing to break up The Shield Cena is pretty much the reason he is the catalyst
The contract signing for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and his opponent the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk signing the official contract for their match and the COO Triple H being there to oversee the contract signing I would have thought that Triple H would physically somehow get involved here seeing as how Triple H has history with both Lesnar and Punk especially Punk I would have figured that Triple H would put his hands on Punk and it would end in him and Lesnar both attacking him but I loved the stipulation of the signing too if Punk touched Lesnar he would lose his shot at the title or if Brock touched Punk he would be stripped of the title it made the contract signing all the much more enjoyable
Their match at Night of Champions I am sure will be a MOTN quality match hell it will be a Match of the Year candidate as far as the Slammy Awards goes because not only will it be a classic but it will be brutal it will be physical
RVD beating Bad News Barrett, it seems Bad News Barrett he can't catch a break I mean ever since he lost the WWE United States Championship to Del Rio he hasn't been the same but then again Barrett his luck could always change because he is Mr. Money in the Bank and he could cash in that briefcase to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the flash of a nanosecond and if that happens he could bring the WWE World Heavyweight Championship back into The Authority's grasp but this gives RVD momentum heading into Night of Champions and considering he is facing off against the undefeated Russian Rusev I would say RVD needed the win a lot more
RVD being attacked post-match by Rusev locking in the Accolade again I mean could we see that at Night of Champions?
NXT Showcase with the NXT Champion Adrian Neville and Evan Bourne beating the team of the #1 Contender for the NXT Championship Corey Graves and his partner Solomon Crowe I mean to see these feuds intertwined in the same match I mean it makes sense especially considering Neville he is defending his title against Graves at NXT: R-Volution and Evan Bourne is facing off against Solomon Crowe at NXT: R-Volution so it makes sense for these 4 to be facing off on RAW especially on the Season Premiere no less, it is best to expose NXT talent to the main roster because one of these days they could get called up to the main roster and it gives the RAW audience a feel for NXT also
The whole Divas segment with AJ Lee and the WWE Women's Champion Paige and the Bella Twins as well as Stephanie McMahon I mean I wouldn't be surprised if at WrestleMania 31 it leads to a program between Stephanie and Paige or Stephanie and AJ but either way seeing more divas on Smackdown I can't wait to see that
Darren Young I mean he has been on quite the roll and he beats his former PTP tag team partner Titus O'Neil and then post-match Young getting attacked by The Age of Enlightenment while Titus does nothing I am telling you it will lead to a Titus O'Neil babyface turn and it will lead to The Primetime Players reuniting I am telling you I just know it
Del Rio the WWE United States Champion beating Miz all be it by DQ, I mean Miz was never interested in winning this match he wanted to simply send a message not only to Del Rio but to Jericho and all the other guys in the Six Pack Challenge that he will do whatever he has to do to walk out WWE United States Champion and Miz he is a former WWE United States Champion too and out of all the guys in this match at Night of Champions Miz has the most momentum coming in but also Del Rio he has proven that he is a fighting champion no matter how much the odds are stacked against him but Jericho he has never been WWE United States Champion ever in his career here in WWE so for Jericho he has the chance to make history
AJ Lee facing off against Nikki Bella for the #1 Contendership for the WWE Women's Championship I thought that Nikki was already the #1 Contender I thought that it was set in stone already? Never mind it is set in stone but to see AJ Lee and Nikki go at it, if AJ gets the win and beats Nikki then this pretty much propels AJ back into the WWE Women's Championship hunt especially if she beats the #1 Contender then they have to make it a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women's Championship at Night of Champions
Cena those are some big words but Cena he is the reason why The Shield are falling apart and it will be because of him that Reigns and Cena lose at Night of Champions and if and when that happens I can see Reigns turning on Cena and The Shield beating the holy hell out of Cena and all 3 guys Triple Powerbombing Cena all the way to hell
And Orton & Batista Authority members and WWE Tag Team Champions beating Rollins & Ambrose in the main event, I would have figured that Rollins and Ambrose would somehow get the job done but it seems that Batista & Orton ever since they have become champions it is like they have become to mesh really well together as a team they have started to gel to find that chemistry that they once had when they were members of Evolution so to see them come into their own as WWE Tag Team Champions I mean I can't say that I am surprised
But to see Batista & Orton try to attack Rollins and Ambrose post-match didn't and just when they do, Reigns comes out to try to even the odds and then Cena after him and then The Shield laying waste to Batista & Orton only for Cena to try to help only to get pushed aside by Ambrose, I mean it is clear Ambrose hates Cena a lot more than Rollins or Reigns do and Reigns trying to play peacemaker definitely doesn't help matters either

NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution: September 11th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
The Pre-Show panel for NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution consists of host Renee Young, Byron Saxton, Jason Albert and Alex Riley. No guest stars tonight. The first thing they focus on is the much hyped debut of Japanese Superstar Hideo Itami. “For weeks we’ve seen these videos telling us that Hideo Itami was coming and it angered Tyson Kidd at every turn” says Renee Young. Albert says that he’s seen a fair amount of Itami from his days in Japan and feels that Tyson needs to get his head right and be on his game if he wants to beat him tonight. Alex Riley turns the discussion to the NXT Tag Team Titles, citing that the due of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is among the best he’s ever seen. Despite this, he thinks that the Ascension will regain their belts tonight. Renee shifts the focus to the NXT Women’s Championship and the battle between former BFFs Charlotte and Sasha Banks. Byron thinks that tonight is the night for the Boss of NXT, but the other three go with the “genetically superior” Charlotte. The final topic for discussion is the NXT Championship. Every feels like Adrian Neville will retain except Riley. He points out that Neville has a United States Championship Six Pack Challenge coming up at Night of Champions and thinks that the current NXT Champion has too much on his plate.
The WWE Signature comes on to start the official show but is cut into and “taken over” by images of NXT. The NXT intro video then plays and we cut to the arena, where Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and Renee Young take over on commentary. They introduce the broadcast and go right into our opening contest. NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP – KEVIN OWENS AND SAMI ZAYN (C) VS. THE ASCENSION; The look on the faces of the Ascension tell the story as they are in a foul mood and look determined to win back the belts they held for nearly an entire year. Kevin Owens starts against Konnor. They get into a battle of who is stronger, trying to overpower the other. The bigger members of the team go back and forth until Owens takes him down and hits a senton before tagging in Sami Zayn. The crowd comes to their feet for Sami, who comes in hot, hitting Konnor with a constant flurry. “Sami Zayn is red hot tonight” says Tom Phillips. All it takes though is one mistake for him to run into a big spinebuster from Konnor. The tag comes to Viktor and the Ascension start to dissect Zayn. They cut the ring in half and prevent him from tagging Kevin Owens. “This is why they held the NXT Tag Team Titles for as long as they did” explains Byron Saxton. Sami Zayn is resilient, doing everything in his power to stay alive and kick out of the offense the Ascension lay on him. The frustration is evident on the faces of Konnor and Viktor, who are finding out how hard it is to keep Sami Zayn down. Sami manages to dodge a corner shot from Viktor and hit an exploder there. He crawls over to Owens and makes the hot tag. Owens just comes in nailing both Konnor and Viktor with everything he’s got. Konnor charges at Owens and gets back dropped to the outside. Sami Zayn is able to get up, charge forward and do a front flip dive over Owens and onto Viktor. Konnor runs forward but Kevin Owens nails the Popup Powerbomb to pick up the victory. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeat the Ascension to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship in 9:38!Kevin Owens’ music hits as he snatches both NXT Tag Team Titles from ringside. He helps Sami Zayn up and basically drags him up the ramp, where he poses with both belts. Sami is pretty beat up, but manages to throw his arm up in the air in celebration too. Renee Young gets up from commentary to conduct an interview with the winners. She asks them about what’s next now that they have bested the former champions. Owens speaks, saying that they did just what they expected to do. “We are the best tag team in the sport of professional wrestling and that’s a fact. NXT still doesn’t know what has hit it now that I’ve arrived. Trust me, within the next few weeks and months, nobody in NXT history will have made a greater impact than Kevin Owens.” As they leave, commentary points out that Kevin Owens went from praising the team to talking about himself.
We are now directed to a vignette that hypes up our NXT Champion, Adrian Neville. We see footage of some of the absolutely breathtaking offense that the “Man That Gravity Forgot” has become famous for. His NXT Title win is shown, as well as him retaining the gold against Brodus Clay Rob Van Dam. Adrian Neville speaks during these highlights about his past and coming over from the UK before making it in NXT and then to the main roster. “Just because I’m competing for championships on Raw and Smackdown, doesn’t mean this NXT Title is going anywhere. Doing that and holding this title too means I’m one of the best in the world and that is something I take massive pride in.” KALISTO VS. TYLER BREEZE; The self-proclaimed “King of Cuteville” has made it his mission to rid NXT and the WWE as a whole, of uggos. To start things off, Tyler Breeze takes down Kalisto and instantly goes after the mask. This causes Kalisto to scurry to the corner and adjust it. “Think about the disrespect shown by Tyler Breeze here going after the mask of Kalisto” says Tom Phillips. Tyler shouts “YOU DON’T LOOK LIKE ME” but is quickly shut up by a leaping knee from Kalisto. He fires up with some strikes and knocks Breeze outside. Kalisto gears up for a dive, with the crowd coming to their feet, but Breeze greets him with a big uppercut, stopping the dive. Breeze chooses to try and wear down Kalisto inside, all the while continuing to try and unmask the luchador. “I can’t believe Tyler would stoop this low” says Renee Young. With Kalisto down, the arrogant Breeze grabs his phone and seems to record a video of himself badmouthing Kalisto. When he’s done, he steps towards Kalisto, only to be pulled into a small package for two. As he kicks out, Kalisto rolls through and delivers a loud kick to the skull. He whips Breeze in, but it is reversed. Kalisto ducks a shot and does an incredible handstand like walk before scoring with a rana that spikes Breeze. Kalisto goes up top for it all and tries a 450 splash for the first time ever, but Breeze moves out of the way. Both men are down, but when they get to their feet, Breeze hits the supermodel kick! Kalisto falls back into the ropes, bounces off and is hit with the Beauty Shot, which is enough to end this. Tyler Breeze defeats Kalisto in 10:10!
The referee raises the hand of Tyler Breeze, who pulls away not wanting the ugly official’s hand on him. Breeze isn’t done yet, going back to the fallen Kalisto and trying to unmask him again. The official tries to stop him but struggles. Breeze is able to rip the mask a bit as Kalisto exits the covers his face. A second official appears and they manage to stop the relentless Tyler Breeze.
Similar to the vignette that aired earlier to promote Adrian Neville, we see one that highlights his challenger tonight, Corey Graves. It shows Graves in a dark area with a fair amount of graffiti. Graves speaks about his upbringing and how he didn’t have the easiest life. We see his debut in NXT and how he challenged for the NXT Title as soon as possible but came up short. We see footage of him winning the Tag Team Titles with Adrian Neville but then he says that he had to watch as Neville got all of the opportunities while injuries sidelined him. “No more. I proved back in May that I am for real when I beat everyone’s favorite darling, Sami Zayn. At TakeOver: R-Evolution, I do it again and become NXT Champion.”
Jojo is standing by backstage with Tyson Kidd and Natalya. She asks Tyson a question about facing someone he’s never wrestled before but he’s on the phone so Natalya answers. Natalya says that Tyson is a student of the game and while he’s never faced Hideo Itami, he’s made sure to study all of film he could find on him. Tyson chimes in now after hanging up, saying that he had to say goodnight and get good luck from his cats before the match. “Everyone thinks I should be concerned facing someone I’ve never faced before, but hasn’t anyone realized that Hideo Itami is in the same situation? He’s the one stepping into the ring with a former WWE Tag Team Champion. Fact. He’s facing a man who had a WrestleMania moment. Fact. And he’s facing someone that is so good, they had to close the Hart Dungeon after he graduated. Fact.” EVAN BOURNE VS. SOLOMON CROWE; This match gets started when Solomon Crowe charges and attacks before the bell. This gives him a clear early upper hand as the man with arguably the biggest chip on his shoulder in NXT pounds on Evan Bourne. “Solomon Crowe is showing early on that he means business tonight” says Byron Saxton. Crowe is very methodical in his attack, taking his time and making sure to wear down Bourne. The focus of Crowe’s attack seems to be on the leg of Evan Bourne. He hits a shin breaker, chop block and even just viciously stomps on the knee. “This is a brilliant strategy because not only will it take away Evan Bourne’s high flying offense, but it’ll get him in position for the Crow Bar submission” explains Tom Phillips. When Crowe goes for a lariat though, Bourne ducks and starts to rally. He hits a high knee with his good leg and ends up setting Crowe up top. He climbs and hits a top rope rana for a very close near fall. Bourne is in disbelief that the rana wasn’t enough. He goes for a suplex but his leg isn’t strong enough to complete it. He instead uses his other leg to kick away at Crowe and knock him down. Bourne is not one to avoid risks though and climbs up top. Just like with the suplex though, his leg gives out and he crashes to the mat in sickening fashion. Crowe stirs, sees the downed Bourne and salivates. He locks in the Crowbar and Bourne has to tap out. Solomon Crowe defeats Evan Bourne in 7:48!There is a chorus of boos from the NXT Universe as Solomon Crowe gets up and has his hand raised. The “new” overcomes the “old” here tonight. Crowe exits as the referee leans down to check on the leg of Evan Bourne.
Following a WWE Network commercial, we are taken to one final vignette hyping the debut of Hideo Itami. It ends by saying that Hideo Itami comes to NXT tonight! HIDEO ITAMI VS. TYSON KIDD W/ NATALYA; The Full Sail crowd worships Hideo Itami as he makes his way to the ring for the very first time in NXT history. Tyson Kidd takes off his headphones and looks very unimpressed with Itami. There is a buzz in the crowd as the two men stand across the ring from one another. There is an extended feeling out process to start things, with Kidd trying to outmaneuver Itami. Itami is too good to fall into the trap though, managing to stay one step ahead of the Hart Dungeon graduate. “It looks like Hideo Itami did his homework as well” says Renee Young. This frustrates Kidd, who decides to forgo any actual wrestling and just slaps Itami. That proves to be a mistake as Itami just lights him up with slaps, strikes and kicks. Kidd scurries outside for a breather but Itami gives him no rest, following. Kidd ends up sending him into the ring post and rolling him inside, taking control. Kidd focuses his assault on Itami’s back, seemingly setting up for the Sharpshooter. He scores on a springboard elbow drop for a close near fall. Kidd looks for the Sharpshooter, but Itami kicks him off and into the corner. Itami then hits a tornado DDT and falcon arrow, getting a close call. “This offense of Hideo Itami is certainly impressive” says Tom Phillips. Itami hoists Kidd on his shoulders and the crowd comes to their feet, but Kidd slips free and connects on a swinging fisherman suplex. When they only gets two, Kidd brings Itami to the corner, goes outside and applies the figure four around the ring post! The referee counts and Kidd lets go at four but the damage has been done. He enters and applies the Sharpshooter fully this time. Itami struggles as he crawls to the ropes. The fans chant “please don’t tap” and Itami uses that fuel to reach the ropes. Kidd isn’t pleased and drags Itami away before going for the Sharpshooter again. Itami pulls him into a small package for a very close near fall. When both men get up, Itami charges and ducks under a clothesline. He bounces off the ropes and nails a huge running kick for the 1-2-3. Hideo Itami defeats Tyson Kidd in 13:29!Commentary praises the debut performance of Hideo Itami as the fans in Full Sail University go nuts. Hideo Itami has his hand raised while Natalya climbs into the ring to check on her husband. Itami’s enjoyment is cut short however, when Justin Gabriel runs out and levels him from behind. “What the hell is this about?” asks Tom Phillips. Gabriel puts the boots to Itami and Kidd gets to his feet to help out. Gabriel holds Itami up while Kidd fires away with right hands and kicks. Suddenly, the lights in the arena go out and the sound of a heartbeat is heard along with random red lights flashing. The words “PRINCE DEVITT” appear on the tron and the crowd loses their minds. The words change to “FINN BALOR” as the man formerly known as Prince Devitt around the world steps onto the stage. He stares at the ring and charges. Kidd takes a swing but he ducks, runs at Gabriel and takes him out with the slingblade. Balor then trades blows with Kidd and clotheslines him to the outside. He goes off the ropes and somersault senton over and out onto Tyson. The crowd continues to go nuts, chanting “this is awesome”, as Finn climbs to the top. He leaps off with a huge double stomp on Gabriel. Natalya is stunned, helping her husband up the ramp as Finn stands in the ring, assisting Hideo to his feet. “Oh my, the tide has officially changed here in NXT” says Byron Saxton.
Now, a video package airs set to “My House” by PVRIS with cut ins of the competitors talking. Images are shown of Charlotte as a child before we see her in present day holding the NXT Women’s Title. Her voiceover says that she was born for the business. She say that she joined the BFFs to make a name for herself but soon saw how selfish girls like Sasha Banks and Summer Rae were and that she didn’t need that in her life. She admits that realizes those things is why she left and why she embraced girls like Bayley. Her words are cut off by Sasha Banks who says that she has wanted this since she was 10 years old. “I may not have been born into the business but I damn sure deserve to be here.” Sasha says that she used the BFFs, including Charlotte to put herself on the map but had to sit back and watch Charlotte win the Fatal Four Way at TakeOver, when it should have been her. She claims that NXT is hers to run because she is the Boss. NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – CHARLOTTE (C) VS. SASHA BANKS; Charlotte enters the ring and comes face to face with Sasha Banks. Sasha is wearing Charlotte’s “Do it with Flair” shirt, but has the word “Boss” taped over Flair. You can feel the tension building and Sasha piefaces Charlotte, sending her back. Charlotte fires back, taking Sasha down with a Lou Thez press. They roll around brawling to the outside. When outside, Sasha chops Charlotte and lets out a “woo”. Charlotte switches positions, chops her and does a “woo” of her own. “That’s in our champion’s blood” says Renee Young. Charlotte goes to whip Sasha, but it is countered and Charlotte collides with the steel steps in hard fashion. Sasha gets a near fall inside and then works over Charlotte in the corner for a bit. Sasha continues to mock Charlotte and her family, doing the Ric Flair strut before slapping the champion. She looks for the Bank Statement but Charlotte blocks it and snapmares her over, followed by a dropkick. Charlotte goes for her figure four headlock and then flips Sasha over numerous times. “The leg strength of Charlotte is incredible” says Byron Saxton. Sasha shows off her own power by getting to her feet with Charlotte on her shoulders and nailing an electric chair drop for two. Charlottes comes back with a neckbreaker and hits Natural Selection! Like a wise competitor, Sasha instantly rolls outside to avoid getting pinned. A tired Charlotte follows, but is pulled face first into the ring apron. Sasha rolls inside for a breather but when she sees Charlotte getting up, she follows outside with a suicide dive! Sasha sends Charlotte in and covers but again only gets two. The women trade blows in the center of the ring as the crowd has now started to chant for Sasha. Both women block the other’s attempts at their trademark submissions, showing their knowledge of one another. Charlotte takes Sasha down with a suplex and goes up top. She misses a moonsault but incredibly lands on her feet and front flips forward onto Sasha for two. “What is it going to take to beat keep one of these girls down?” asks Saxton. Charlotte looks for Natural Selection again, but Sasha ducks. She’s behind Charlotte and connects on the backstabber before applying the Bank Statement. The crowd is mixed, with some chanting “TAP” and others chanting “PLEASE DON’T TAP”! Sasha rears back deeply, nearly breaking Charlotte in half. The champion manages to roll through and catch Sasha in a pinning combination to retain the title. Charlotte defeats Sasha Banks to retain the NXT Women’s Championship in 11:40!A mixed reaction rains down from the NXT Universe as some are happy with the outcome, some are disappointed, but all appreciate the efforts from both ladies. Charlotte is on her knees as she’s handed the NXT Women’s Title and she clutches it to her chest. Sasha Banks is also on her knees, but the pain is clear on her face knowing how close she was to winning the belt. A dejected Sasha rolls out and leaves with tears in her eyes as Charlotte holds the title high in the air in the middle of the ring.
Our final video package of the night is shown, this one set to “Thorn” by Favorite Weapon. It goes all the way back to last year, when Adrian Neville and Corey Graves came together to capture the NXT Tag Team Titles. Despite being very different, their teamwork and chemistry worked very well together. The video then shows Graves go down to injury, while Neville climbed to the top of NXT and win the NXT Title. The song hits the chorus, talking about being a “thorn” as Graves is shown being more aggressive and his voiceover claims that he knew he had to change to get the opportunities that were handed to Neville. “It ate away at me to sit at home hurt while my former partner got everything he ever wanted.” Neville speaks to end the video, “it sucks that Corey got hurt while I won this belt, but that doesn’t mean that tonight is his night.”
NXT CHAMPIONSHIP – ADRIAN NEVILLE (C) VS. COREY GRAVES; Corey Graves and Adrian Neville stand across the ring from each other. When the bell rings, Graves continues to show how aggressive he is by running straight for the champion and sending him into the corner. “Adrian Neville is taken aback by Corey Graves’ strategy” says Tom Phillips. Graves fires away at Neville with a flurry of rights and lefts. Neville rights the ship, switches positions and starts to light up the challenger with kicks. The final one sends Graves to the outside to regroup. Neville gives him no time and follows out with a gorgeous top rope moonsault that gets the crowd to their feet. When they go back inside, Neville runs into trouble as Graves clips him in the knee. “There it is, the target we expected Corey Graves to gun for” says Phillips. Similar to Solomon Crowe earlier, Graves just picks apart the leg of the champion, doing his best to not only mess up Neville’s top rope offense but set up for the Lucky 13. Corey looks to lock that move in, but Neville quickly gets to the ropes. Corey doesn’t release his grip and Neville gets to other foot, scoring on an enziguri, but has to hold his leg. Neville now looks to use offense that doesn’t involve much leg strength, highlighting by a reverse rana for a very close two count. Neville decides to go up top behind the roar of the crowd. “Oh no, remember what happened to Evan Bourne earlier tonight?” asks Byron Saxton. Neville avoids that and is able to leap from the top, connecting on the Red Arrow! However, Neville is in too much to pain to over instantly. When he finally does, Graves is able to get his foot on the bottom rope. They get up and Neville swings but Graves ducks and hits a vicious bridging dragon suplex for two. Corey instantly goes around and applies the Lucky 13! Neville struggles, trying to reach the ropes. He gets close and grabs them, but Graves is able to pull him back anyway. Neville looks to be on the verge of tapping out but is again able to just make it. Graves is furious and drags Neville away for it again but Neville pulls him into a small package for a near fall. Neville hits a big German for two again and tries his luck up top once more. He tries an inverted 450 splash but misses as Graves just barely avoids it. Like a shark smelling blood, Graves goes right back to Lucky 13, wrenching it harder than ever. Neville desperately reaches but no rope is near. He has no choice but to tap out. Corey Graves defeats Adrian Neville to win the NXT Championship in 17:12!“I can’t believe what I’m seeing” says Renee Young. The crowd doesn’t seem to fully believe or grasp it either, mostly standing at a hush with some cheers. Corey Graves lays on the mat for a few seconds and then slowly gets up. He is handed the NXT Title and is announced as the victor, bringing more boos but still a mixed reaction. He looks at the belt, slightly in disbelief himself, but then he slowly holds the belt over his head. “A new era in NXT has begun” exclaims Tom Phillips as the show closes.

Owens and Zayn retaining their NXT Tag Team Championships against The Ascension I figured that there would definitely be a title change but boy was I wrong and why did I think there would be a title change here? Considering the tension that there has been between Owens and his tag team partner Sami Zayn the NXT Tag Team Champions but also because of Owens' ego the man has become more self-centered more arrogant and honestly I thought that because of that it would cost him and Zayn the NXT Tag Team Championships but also because I thought that we would be in for a Kevin Owens heel turn but I mean one of these days it will surely come I just know it
It seems Tyler Breeze he is determined to unmask Kalisto and even though he did beat Kalisto here he definitely wanted to unmask Kalisto because let's face it he wants to expose the man to the world but also he wanted to embarrass Kalisto too at the same time but Breeze I mean after that I wonder if Kalisto will have a new mask? I mean considering his mask was practically torn off almost and he had to cover his face but also for a lucha libre wrestler for his mask to be removed in tradition that is the ultimate disrespect but could Breeze be on a roll? I would definitely say so especially after this victory certainly enough that he could make a case for becoming NXT Champion
Love these vignettes of Neville and Graves because it really pushes home the fact that not only will these 2 be facing each other for the NXT Championship but that they are the main event but also that this match really is a big deal because they are the future of NXT
Tyson Kidd sure seems confident for a man who has never even faced nor hasn't even met Hideo Itami but even though he has watched tape of Itami it is nothing like being in the ring with him much less having a match with him but Tyson Kidd has proven himself I mean he is a former WWE Tag Team Champion for Christ sake Tyson Kidd has actually had a WrestleMania moment but also he comes from good stock too, The Hart Family, training in the Dungeon being the last graduate out of there but Itami he is from New Japan Pro Wrestling, Japan which is the ultimate big leagues
Solomon Crowe however unorthodox as he may be however different as he may be he just beat Evan Bourne a veteran here in WWE, he beat Evan Bourne a former WWE Tag Team Champion for Christ sake but also Crowe after this victory I wonder what is next for him? I wonder what is next for Evan Bourne?
Itami in his debut here in NXT beats Tyson Kidd, I mean of course we all know Itami was going to go over and go over he did I mean this match was a great back and forth match-up with contrast of styles which actually meshed well together but also Kidd he took Itami to the limit and then some but Itami after this he might have just proved to the world that he actually could be one of the best pure athletes on the NXT roster but then post-match what I definitely expected was Kidd attacking Itami, what a sore loser but what I didn't count on was seeing Justin Gabriel of all people attacking Itami too but just as it turns into a 2 on 1 assault we get another NXT debut from Finn Balor, Finn Balor is here and he comes to Itami's aid I mean I definitely was not expecting Balor to debut here but now that he has and so has Itami I mean virtually on the same night I can see these 2 somehow becoming friends maybe even becoming a tag team but who knows
Charlotte once again proving that she is a fighting champion she retains her NXT Women's Championship against Sasha Banks, this was probably the match that I was looking most forward to especially with diva matches I mean and diva matches I usually do not look forward to them but this one was the expection to the rule because this match was so back and forth but after this Charlotte has proven that she can carry on the Flair legacy she can carve her own legacy separate of that of her 2-time WWE Hall of Fame father The Nature Boy Ric Flair she has proven that it is in her DNA to succeed but also to be a champion as well I mean her father 16 times WWE World Heavyweight Champion and considering her run as NXT Women's Champion I mean can anyone beat Charlotte for that title?
And we have ourselves a new NXT Champion, Corey Graves in a shocker wins the NXT Championship beating Adrian Neville, now this has got to be an upset in my book a definite upset one that I definitely did not see coming especially given the fact that Neville as NXT Champion he turned back challenge after challenge until he came up against Corey Graves I guess this just goes to show us that we can never really bet against Corey Graves and especially now that he is the new NXT Champion I can only imagine how Graves' run will be with the NXT Championship

...I mean, fair dinkum...that's gotta be at least, what? The longest reply with sentences with hardly any punctuation at all? Even so, that's something, eh? As for this show, amazed that the phrase 'professional wrestling' was uttered... Good stuff mate.

Cody Rhodes beating Bo Dallas is nothing more than Cody Rhodes squashing Bo Dallas because this is what this was let's be honest Cody Rhodes wanted to make a statement and he clearly did I mean after he beat his brother Goldust in the Steel Cage on the Season Premiere of RAW on Monday Cody is trying to keep on that roll and he said he's coming for gold even if he isn't in the 6 Pack Challenge so I wonder if Cody Rhodes will somehow attack one of the Six Pack Challenge participants backstage and he ends up taking their spot in the match? Or will one of the Six Pack Challenge participants get injured and Cody Rhodes having to replace said participant in the match?
Darren Young winning yet another match I mean D Young Mr. No Days Off he has been on quite a roll ever since returning from injury but him beating Xavier Woods only to get attacked post-match by The Age of Enlightenment only for Titus O'Neil to turn babyface and attack his Age of Enlightment teammates from out of nowhere turning on them I mean it has been expected for a while now and especially after the way Woods and Sandow have been treating him he was bound to turn on them sooner or later but the PTP reforming can only mean good things as far as the WWE Tag Team division is concerned
AJ Lee beating Nikki Bella by DQ only for Brie Bella to get involved I mean it was basically the idea the whole time I mean Nikki had no intention of winning this match I mean let's be honest here the Bella Twins obviously wanted to send a message here and they did taking AJ Lee out but Paige the WWE Women's Champion doing nothing to help I do have to wonder what is up with that? Paige could have made the save for AJ but I think it is nothing more than retribution
The Miz beating Kofi Kingston I mean The Miz he has been on a roll for a while now winning match after match and considering The Miz is in the Six Pack Challenge for the WWE United States Championship Miz is my odds on favorite to become the next WWE United States Champion and considering Miz has practically gotten into the head of not only the WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio he has gotten into the head of the other men who will be in the Six Pack Challenge Match like Goldust, Jericho, Neville and Bad News Barrett
Authority members the WWE Tag Team Champions Batista & Orton and Sheamus all teaming up to beat the team of Cena, Reigns and Ziggler maybe this just goes to show us that Cena and Reigns maybe after all do not gel as a team maybe they can't get the job done and beat Batista & Orton for those WWE Tag Team Championships but Sheamus gains even more momentum heading into his WWE Intercontinental Championship match against the WWE Intercontinental Champion Ziggler in an Iron Man Match

Now that RAW and NXT are out of the way then begins the final Smackdown before Night of Champions and then after that is the Night of Champions PPV itself which I still can't wait for
But I am even more excited about this upcoming tournament and the winner of said tournament becomes the next #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series
