WWE NXT: December 18th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
Tonight’s edition of NXT kicked off with a recap of the intense main event at TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way which saw Sami Zayn successfully defend the NXT Championship against Kevin Owens, Evan Bourne and Corey Graves. To the arena, where Rich Brennan, Jason Albert and Renee Young introduced the show and promised that we’ll witness the fallout from TakeOver. Before anything could get going on the show, Sami Zayn made his way to the ring with the NXT Championship draped over his shoulder. He walked with a purpose and grabbed a microphone once inside. “Normally, a successful title defense would have me in a good mood. Normally, the thought of me keeping this title that I worked so hard for would make me happy. Normally, I’d be out here dancing and celebrating. Instead, I stand here in a foul mood because no matter what I seem to do, Kevin Owens is still a thorn in my side. I won but the last image that everybody saw was the two of us fighting yet again. And of course, I still have no answer for what he did to me during my championship celebration. This needs to end. I want Kevin Owens and I want him right now!” The fans popped but instead of Kevin Owens’ theme playing, we got the arrival of NXT General Manager William Regal. He stepped out onto the stage and told Sami to keep his cool. “Unfortunately, Kevin Owens is currently scheduled for a match tonight against Evan Bourne. What I can do for you though is give you a match later tonight so you can take out your frustrations. Then if you’d like, you can stay at ringside for Kevin Owens’ match but you may not get involved.” Sami responded by saying that sounds fine. “I won’t to you Mr. Regal. I can’t promise that I’ll hold back once Kevin’s match is over.” An ad ran to promote the newest WWE Film, Jingle All the Way 2! It premieres on the USA Network once NXT is over!
Tyler Breeze was shown shooting a video from his cellphone. He spoke to the NXT Universe and boasted about his win at TakeOver. “I promised everyone that I was going to rid NXT of the uggos and I started by doing just that to Hideous Itami. With the victory, I decided to step away and visit one of my season residences to do some modeling. When I return in 2015, I’m coming the NXT Championship. Breeze out.
A short video recap played of the finals of the NXT Tag Team Championship Tournament last week at TakeOver. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady finally were able to capture the titles by defeating the Vaudevillains. ENZO AMORE AND COLIN CASSADY W/ CARMELLA DEF. SAWYER FULTON AND SCOTT DAWSON IN 2:08; The brand new NXT Tag Team Champions arrived to a thunderous ovation from the NXT faithful. Sawyer Fulton and Scott Dawson are two tough guys, but they couldn’t handle the wave of momentum that Enzo and Cass are on. The rocket launcher got the win for the champions. They celebrated with Carmella and the fans afterwards. In the back, Jason Jordan and Jack Swagger were shown working out while Zeb Colter coached them. Chad Gable entered the picture with a “We The People” shirt. “What the hell is that?” asked Swagger. Gable responded by saying that it’s their shirt. “Our shirt? I don’t remember saying you were part of this group.” Gable said that he won two weeks ago and showed them how good he was. Swagger claimed that a win over Dash Wilder doesn’t mean anything. “We are the elite around here. To get in with us, you’ve got to show that you’re elite as well.” Gable seemed to have his comeback ready. “Well then why don’t I show you firsthand just how good I am. Next week. Chad Gable vs. Jack Swagger. If I win, I join the All-American Real Americans.” Zeb stepped in and decided that the match was a good idea. Chad smiled and said, “Get prepared Jack. Because I’m ready, willing, and Gable for next week.”
An advertisement ran to promote the return of Total Divas on the E! Network. The new season begins on January 5th! Footage now aired to recap the NXT Women’s Championship match last week between Sasha Banks and Bayley. Bayley fought valiantly but was forced to tap out, with a tear in her eye, to the Bank Statement. Devin Taylor stood by with Bayley and asked for her thoughts on what’s next. A dejected Bayley looked for her words and was barely able to get any out. “It was the toughest loss of my entire career. As for what’s next? I mean, the goal hasn’t changed. I have to become NXT Women’s Champion. I will become NXT Women’s Champion. I just have to work my back to that title shot.” She walked off with her head down despite the positive words. BARON CORBIN DEF. DENNIS CORA IN 0:14; In typical Baron Corbin fashion, this didn’t last long. Right after beating Mason Ryan last week, he destroyed Cora in under fifteen seconds. The “Lone Wolf” then calmly walked to the back.
The vignette that aired at TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way of Apollo Crews working out at the Performance Center aired. Crews debuts in NXT soon! BECKY LYNCH DEF. ALEXA BLISS IN 6:36; Two of the more popular women on the NXT roster went at it, with future title shot implications. Alexa Bliss brought fire but Becky Lynch used her experience factor to combat it. Bliss was vicious at times, with some aggressive stomps and slaps. Becky went after the arm, looking to set up her submission. Bliss surprised many by getting an opening for the Sparkle Splash. She would miss though and Becky quickly slapped on the Dis-Arm-Her to make her tap out. Becky Lynch had her hand raised by the officials, picking up a big victory. She went to help Alexa up, but Alexa shoved her away and pouted up the ramp.
Exclusive footage aired from after TakeOver went off the air last week. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens continued their brawl in the back. William Regal had to physically get involved and pull Sami away. Even so, Sami pushed Regal aside to get back at Owens but was held back by several officials. SAMI ZAYN DEF. ANGELO DAWKINS IN 1:09; This was a Sami Zayn unlike we’ve ever seen before. As soon as the bell rang, it was as if he saw Kevin Owens across the ring. He charged in and hit the Helluva Kick instantly. Zayn didn’t stop there, choosing to lift Dawkins and continue his offense. Sami put Dawkins in the Koji Clutch and made him submit. Sami refused to let go of the hold for a few seconds after the match, showing a big time mean streak.
A video recap was shown of Finn Balor’s incredible demon-like appearance at TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way, where he finally found a way to overcome his rival, Solomon Crowe. Balor returns to NXT in two weeks!
An advertisement ran to promote the Royal Rumble on January 25th! One man will earn his chance to main event WrestleMania in Santa Clara, California!
Devin Taylor was back, this time with the NXT Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks. She asked her about Bayley first. Sasha responded by saying that she doesn’t dwell on the past. “I’m all about moving forward. I’m done with Bayley and if she finds a way to get another shot, it’ll end the same way it did at TakeOver.” Devin turned the attention to Becky Lynch and her win tonight. Sasha scoffed and said that Becky isn’t on her level. “If she really believes she can take this from me, I dare her to try.”
KEVIN OWENS DEF. EVAN BOURNE IN 11:41; Sami Zayn stayed at ringside for this, pulling up a chair. Kevin Owens taunted him throughout the match, daring him to get in the ring. Evan Bourne used one of those openings to come off the top with a double knee attack for a near fall. Bourne hit a big spin kick that sent Owens to the ropes. He looked to capitalize by coming off the ropes himself but Owens caught him with the Popup Powerbomb and got the 1-2-3. As soon as the match ended, Sami Zayn hopped up from his seat and slid into the ring. Owens quickly rolled outside as officials rushed to the ring to keep things from breaking down. Owens seemed to be getting a real kick out of what he’s doing to Sami mentally.

Monday Night Raw: December 22nd, 2014 – Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Raw theme song hit and the intro video played. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcomed the fans to tonight’s Christmas edition of Monday night Raw. “Tonight, Stephanie McMahon has placed Dean Ambrose in a Miracle of 34th Street against none other than the Big Show! Not only that, but Paul Heyman is in the house, Batista will go one on one with John Cena in a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match and so much more!” explained Michael Cole. “Here to Show the World” played and the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler walked to the ring. He entered and grabbed a microphone, saying that he was in the Christmas spirit. “I’ve been a bit pre-occupied with Adrian Neville and the big ladder match we had, so I haven’t done this in a while. Tonight is different though. It’s Christmas time! As a gift, I’m going to bring back the Intercontinental Championship Showoff Invitational.” The crowd popped as Dolph continued and said that anyone in the back who wants to answer should come out now. A few moments passed and Seth Rollins’ theme hit. Mr. Money in the Bank stepped out onto the stage with a microphone. “Oh my, this is going to be very interesting” said Michael Cole. Seth stayed atop the stage though and spoke to Dolph Ziggler, saying that he admired his open challenges. “It takes a gutsy man to put his title on the line against any and all comers. It also takes a very stupid man. You think I’m going to risk putting this bad boy on the line on a weekly basis?” Seth asked while pointing to his briefcase. He continued by saying that he came out to accept the challenge. “Look, just because I’m a future WWE World Heavyweight Champion, doesn’t mean I don’t want all of the gold around here. When I was growing up, the Intercontinental Title was prestigious and mean you were not only the number two man in the company, but next in line for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Now, you’ve done a commendable job of restoring the glory of that title, but a lot of people would say that having this briefcase makes me next in line.” Dolph grew tired of Seth’s words and told him to get in the ring. Seth responded, “Whoa, whoa, whoa. I don’t wrestle on your time. In case you’ve sleeping under a rock, I am the main event around here. I’ll face you tonight, but it’ll be in the main event.” Seth dropped the microphone and headed to the back. ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – CM PUNK DEF. ERICK ROWAN IN 11:18; Hulk Hogan reported that he didn’t want any Wyatt Family members or Daniel Bryan at ringside for this contest. Erick Rowan came at CM Punk with his power based offense. Punk got free and started laying in the strikes and kicks for a rally. He got Rowan up for the GTS but Rowan elbowed out and nailed a big boot. Rowan picked him up, but Punk was able to slip out and hit the GTS anyway. Punk and Bryan have now bested the Tag Team Champions in two straight singles matches.
Standing by in the back was Tom Phillips with Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Natalya. Tom said that they requested this time to send a message. Tyson spoke for the team, saying that it’s a simple message. “We are the best tag team in the world. Fact. Last week, I pinned the Intercontinental Champion’s shoulders to the mat. Fact. You see, our expertise doesn’t confine itself to the tag team division. We are here to show the world that we are the top guys in the entire WWE. And girl. Actually, we plan on holding all of the gold in the WWE, so I think Nattie should go and get herself the WWE Women’s Championship.” Natalya looked surprised that Tyson mentioned her. Cesaro took over and ended it by simply stating that tonight, they would qualify for the Royal Rumble.
THE ASCENSION DEF. LOCAL TALENT IN 0:54; Much like their debut outing, the Ascension just plowed through their opponents. They have looked dominant so far.
We were taken to a video that showed Xavier Woods walking down the street with Kofi Kingston and Big E. “Look guys, just give it a chance, you won’t regret it.” Kofi responded by saying that he’s been to church before, this isn’t new. “But you haven’t been to my church.” Kofi and Big E exchanged awkward glances before entering. Like we saw on Smackdown, Woods quickly jumped to the front of the room and began to dance and sing with the choir like he was James Brown. “The power of positivity is the way to success. I SAID the power of positivity ladies and gentlemen.” He continued to preach while Kofi and Big E looked on. Unlike Smackdown, they were not alone in the audience.
AJ LEE DEF. NAOMI IN 3:33; For the first time since suffering a tough defeat at TLC, AJ Lee returned to action. Naomi offered a handshake before the bell, but AJ declined and instead struck her. Naomi fought hard but there was something in AJ Lee tonight. She was extra aggressive. AJ made Naomi tap out to the Black Widow. After the match, AJ Lee snatched a microphone from ringside. “Emma. At TLC you beat me. You even out-crazied me. I’ve got to hand it to you, because not many people can beat me at my own game. I know that each woman in the back is gunning for that title, but I will mow down each one of them until I get another opportunity.” AJ threw down the microphone and exited the ring.
A graphic appeared to inform the fans of breaking news. After winning singles matches tonight and this past Friday on Smackdown, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are using their rematch clause this Friday night! Punk and Bryan vs. Harper and Rowan for the Tag Team Titles on Smackdown!
ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – BATISTA DEF. JOHN CENA IN 15:41; Talk about high stakes. These are two of the greatest and most accomplished performers in WWE history, yet one of them would not participate in the Royal Rumble. It began with both men trying to overpower the other. Batista took control and really wore down Cena. Cena managed to make the big comeback and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He went for the Attitude Adjustment but Batista held onto the ropes to prevent it. They stumbled back into the referee, knocking him down. Batista took the opening and delivered a low blow to Cena, followed by the Batista Bomb to qualify. “The 2014 Royal Rumble winner has earned the right to try and do it for the second straight year,” said Michael Cole. After Batista left, Cena sat with his head in his hands, distraught at another missed opportunity this year.
Backstage, Renee Young introduced her guest, Dean Ambrose. She asked him for his thoughts heading into a Street Fight with Big Show tonight. Dean said that it doesn’t surprise him. “Stephanie McMahon has to protect her little crown jewel, Seth Rollins. She knows that as long as I’m walking, I’m looking to kick his ass. She figures Big Show will take me out of action and Seth can peacefully win some gold tonight. BUT THAT’S NOT GONNA HAPPEN! I may be at a size disadvantage, but Big Show has never faced someone like me. I’ll do anything to him and myself if it means beating him and getting my hands on Seth Rollins.”
CODY RHODES AND RYBACK VS. ALEXANDER RUSEV AND CHRIS JERICHO W/ LANA ENDED IN A DOUBLE COUNTOUT IN 4:21; Two of the WWE’s hottest rivalries came to a head in this tag team match. Ryback has made the United States Title a point of interest recently, while Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes are in the midst of a pretty personal war. Once Rusev and Ryback became the legal men together, the two behemoths went right after one another. Their fight spilled outside and they brawled up the ramp until they were counted out.
Cody Rhodes stood on the apron and watched the two monsters fight their way to the back. He was leveled from behind by Chris Jericho and knocked off the apron. Jericho quickly followed up and smashed Cody’s face into the steel steps. He pulled a steel chair out from under the ring and held it high over his head to a chorus of boos. He brought it down on Cody’s back with a loud crack. Jericho attempted it again but officials ran down and got in between them. “Chris Jericho beat Cody Rhodes at TLC. What the hell does he need to do things like this for? asked Michael Cole. A graphic appeared to inform viewers that MSN Sports has voted Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella as the “Sports Power Couple of the Year.” Michael Cole then said that Bryan and Nikki Bella were not in attendance because they were at home with Brie Bella. Nikki Bella appeared on screen to let the fans know that Brie suffered from concussion like symptoms after Emma’s attack on Smackdown and would be out of action for a few more weeks. She began to address Emma, but the music of the WWE Women’s Champion interrupted her. Emma walked down to the ring to join commentary, ignoring anything that Nikki said.NATALYA DEF. ALICIA FOX IN 2:03; Like Tyson Kidd said earlier, Natalya could go after the Women’s Championship. She seemed to focus on that, pointing at Emma on commentary during the match. Emma took the time to say that what happened to Brie Bella was deserved because the Bella Twins tried to take the spotlight away from her. Natalya made Fox submit to the Sharpshooter. Emma claimed that Natalya’s win was also a sign of someone trying to steal her spotlight. “Maybe I need to teach Natalya that it’s all about me.”
MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET FIGHT – DEAN AMBROSE DEF. BIG SHOW W/ BO DALLAS IN 5:23; Dean Ambrose had a game plan and it worked. As soon as the bell rang, he attacked Show with everything he had. Show launched him over the top and took control, but Dean used a kendo stick to cut him down to size. He grabbed a gift wrapped present and broke it over Show’s head. They traded offense with Christmas themed weapons until Dean found a Christmas tree under the ring. He hit Show in the stomach with it and then nailed Dirty Deeds onto it to win. Stephanie’s plan to take Ambrose out has backfired! Returning, Paul Heyman stood in the center of the ring. “Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman and I am the advocate for the reigning, defending, WWE World Heavyweight Championship. I am out here tonight for one reason only. I am here to sell all of you on the epic, first time ever match coming up at the Royal Rumble between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton. Let’s start with Randy. Randy Orton is the prototype for what a sports entertainer should be. His career has spanned more than a decade and his list of accomplishments are longer than almost anybody’s. Randy Orton is a worthy, formidable WWE Champion at any other time in history. But not right now. Right now, it’s Brock Lesnar’s time. Brock Lesnar is not only a physical beast but he’s on the best run of his entire life.” Before he could continue, “Voices” played and Randy Orton made his way down to the ring. Heyman stepped back, shaking a bit and avoiding eye contract. Orton stood across from him and said that he just wanted to hear Heyman’s claims face to face. Heyman took a big gulp before continuing, again saying that Orton is one of the best ever. “Nobody can doubt that. The only problem is that right now, Brock Lesnar is THE greatest of all time. He destroyed the Big Show at the Royal Rumble. He did the unthinkable and became the 1 in 21-1 when he ended the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania. He ended Daniel Bryan’s fairytale WWE Title reign at SummerSlam. Since then, Brock has only defeated CM Punk and John Cena, two of the best ever in their own right. I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this Randy, but while you’re very good, you just aren’t good enough to conquer the beast because nobody is.” Heyman seemed to gain confidence back as he ran through Brock’s accomplishments. Orton stood in front of him, motionless and not reacting to anything. “At the Royal Rumble, you’re gonna do all of your ‘Viper’ things. You’re gonna slither around the ring and you might even hit an RKO…” At that moment, Orton struck with a swift RKO, laying out Heyman. The crowd gave this a strong round of cheers and Orton smirked at the camera.
ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. FANDANGO W/ LAYLA IN 3:20; After coming up just short of winning the Intercontinental Championship at TLC and on Smackdown, Adrian Neville rebounded by defeating Fandango with the Red Arrow. It proved to be one of the biggest wins of his young career, as it guaranteed his entry into his first ever Royal Rumble match.
Michael Cole now directed the audience to a video package recapping the war between Shane McMahon and Bray Wyatt. Bray defeated Shane in a Chairs match at TLC eight nights ago. Next week, for the first time since TLC, we will hear from Shane McMahon.
ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – TYSON KIDD AND CESARO DEF. LOS MATADORES W/ EL TORITO IN 2:29; No Natalya at ringside with Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, as she was in the back resting up after her match earlier. Kidd and Cesaro said earlier that they wanted to prove they were the best tag team and best singles wrestlers in the world. They took a step towards proving that, defeating Los Matadores with a powerbomb/blockbuster combination and earning two spots in the Royal Rumble.
Next Monday night, the final Raw of 2014 will have a special guest host. WWE Hall of Famer and former 11-time World Champion, Edge returns to host Monday Night Raw!
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – DOLPH ZIGGLER (C) DEF. SETH ROLLINS IN 21:23; The atmosphere in the arena was pretty great for this one. Seth Rollins didn’t seem to take Dolph Ziggler seriously in the first few minutes. Dolph would take him to the mat and Seth would escape and give his cackling laugh. It took Dolph scoring on a superkick before a commercial break for Seth to realize that this wasn’t going to be easy. Seth did manage to get in the driver’s seat and wear down the champion. Dolph nailed a Fameasser from out of nowhere to pick up a near fall. When he went for the Zig Zag, Seth held onto the ropes to block it. He sized Dolph up for the Curb Stomp, but Dean Ambrose’s theme hit. Seth’s rival walked out towards the ring with a chair in hand. Seth pleaded with the referee to stop him. Dolph charged in with a stinger splash as Dean used the chair to simply take a seat at ringside. Dolph connected with the Zig Zag and retained his championship. The crowd erupted as Ziggler was handed his Intercontinental Title, continuing one of, if not the best Intercontinental Title reign in recent memory. Ambrose watched the celebration with a wide grin while eating popcorn that he borrowed from a fan.

- Christmas edition of RAW...everyone is in the Christmas spirit in the holiday spirit and to start the show we have the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler about to kick off another Show Off Challenge...Ziggler defending his title yet again in an Open Challenge and who answers the call? Mystery opponent is none other than Mr. Money in the Bank and Authority golden boy Seth Rollins...Rollins wants Ziggler's title but rather than facing Ziggler right now he tells Ziggler to wait until the main event...classic heel move but we get to see an IC Title Match in the main event especially here on the Christmas edition of RAW...I wonder if Ambrose will interfere in the main event? Or I wonder if The Authority will try to interfere?
- CM Punk one half of the former WWE Tag Team Champions qualifies for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match by beating one half of the current WWE Tag Team Champions Erick Rowan...well now that Bryan has qualified for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match and now so has Punk I wonder if these 2 will be able to co-exist? Especially considering they not only have their rematch against Harper and Rowan for the WWE Tag Team Championships but they are both in the Royal Rumble Match and only one of them can win
- Kidd and Cesaro well they have proven as of late that they are contenders here in the WWE Tag Team division but Natalya going for the WWE Women's Championship I wonder if she will? But Kidd since he pinned the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler I wonder if that means he will get a WWE Intercontinental Championship Match in the future? As for Cesaro I wonder if he won't try to go for singles gold himself?
- The Ascension beating yet another jobber tag team...just goes to show us that The Ascension are not only here to stay but they just continue to put the division on notice
- AJ Lee beats Naomi...I am surprised that AJ Lee is back given that at TLC Emma the WWE Women's Champion put AJ on the shelf Emma injured AJ and now she's back but back here on RAW and in her return she beats Naomi...so after that I wonder if this will set up AJ Lee vs Emma (c) II at the Royal Rumble PPV?
- Big E., Kofi, and Woods I mean after the church segment I think it is safe to say The New Day is born
- WWE Tag Team Championship rematch on Smackdown...Harper & Rowan (c) vs Punk & Bryan this Friday on Smackdown...I can't wait
- Batista qualifies for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match by beating John Cena...a rivalry reignited a rivalry renewed...and Batista using cheap heel tactics to get the job done I would have expected some Authority interference but it didn't happen...Batista getting the job done on his own no help but using a low blow to get by Cena now that Batista is in the Royal Rumble Match and Cena isn't then where does this leave Cena as far as the PPV goes? Batista won last year's Royal Rumble Match so he has got to be a favorite
- Ambrose is facing Big Show in a Street Fight I wonder if it will be a Miracle on 30th Street Fight?
- Cody Rhodes and Ryback vs Chris Jericho and WWE United States Champion Rusev ending in a Double Count out makes sense because not only does it protect Rusev in terms of his undefeated streak but the way this match ended it seems the respective rivalries these men have continues because not only are Ryback and Rusev in the Royal Rumble Match but so is Cody Rhodes but has Jericho even qualified yet for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match? Jericho attacking Rhodes from behind with a steel chair...I wonder if there won't be some type of payback on Cody's part?
- WWE Women's Champion Emma feeling like she's being overshadowed by the Divas in the division even though she's it's Champion it makes me wonder what she's going to do about it?
- Natalya by her beating Alicia Fox she basically put herself in contention for that WWE Women's Championship by not only beating Alicia Fox but basically putting the WWE Women's Champion Emma on notice...now Emma has everyone after her for that title so what is she going to do about it?
- Dean Ambrose getting by Big Show in a Miracle 34th Street Fight...not only is that a huge victory for Ambrose but it sends all the children as well as adults alike home happy as far as the Christmas holidays go...some comedic moments here and there but this match for the most part was not only physical but it was a real war
- After what Orton did to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman RKOing Paul like that...I wonder if by making things personal with Brock if Brock in retaliation attacks Orton before the PPV? Or if he attacks Authority members left and right as payback? Either way Orton just broke the 11th commandment though shall not provoke The Beast Incarnate The Conqueror the 1 in 21-1...Brock when he's angry he's almost impossible to stop
- Neville qualifying for the Royal Rumble Match by beating Fandango...Neville has got to be considered a dark horse well considering it is his first Royal Rumble but that also kind of makes him a wild card
- Shane McMahon on RAW next week I wonder if it will be via satellite or if he will actually be at RAW in the flesh?
- Cesaro & Kidd qualify for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match by beating Los Matadores...these men have to be considered dark horses too and given the run they have been on as of late how can they not be? But they are a team but only one of them can win and if it comes down to those 2 men then what?
- WWE Hall of Famer and 11 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion The Rated R Superstar Edge guest hosting RAW next week I wonder if he will host his talk show The Cutting Edge right here on RAW? If he does I wonder who his guest will be?
- In the main event Ziggler retains his WWE Intercontinental Championship by beating Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins...this definitely was a main event worth watching that's for sure because this match was not only back and forth but at the same time this match more or less solidified Ziggler's reign as being legitimate beating a man the caliber of Rollins but Ambrose interfering I definitely expected because he has made it his personal mission in life to torment Rollins

15 superstars have qualified for the Royal Rumble Match so far...that's half the field qualified now...15 more superstars to qualify to make it 30 so it makes me wonder who the other 15 will be?
The dream match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship...Lesnar vs Orton is 12 years in the making...both men superstars in this business Lesnar being a mega star but Orton being a star I mean their credentials are legitimate but I would say Lesnar is more legit than Orton

WWE NXT: December 25th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
Tonight’s special Christmas day edition of NXT began with the weekly intro video playing. Once that ended, the cameras cut to your hosts for the evening, Renee Young and Jason Albert in the empty Full Sail Arena. They introduced the show and promised a fun evening for the viewers.
"This has been a banner year for NXT and it all started on one crucial night in February. It was then that NXT officially arrived,” said Renee Young. This led to a video package showing highlights from NXT ArRival back on February 27th. On that night, Cesaro defeated Sami Zayn, Paige retained the NXT Women’s Championship against Emma and Adrian Neville won the NXT Title from Bo Dallas in NXT’s only ladder match. Speaking of Adrian Neville, Jason Albert threw things to a video showing Neville recently visiting his hometown of Newcastle, England. Neville showed the viewers where he grew up and went to school, as well as a surprise visit to his mother. Clips were shown of Neville’s match at the WWE live event in Newcastle, where he defeated Sheamus in front of his friends and family.
A Royal Rumble advertisement was shown. The “Road to WrestleMania” begins on January 25th in Philadelphia!
A self-shot cell phone video of Tyler Breeze aired next. He told the viewers that while he was still in his seasonal residence, he had big ideas for the new year. “Sami Zayn. The NXT Universe has been subjected to your ugly mug for far too long. And now you’re the NXT Champion? How dare you walk around with that gorgeous title looking the way you do? I’m going to fix that. You see, when I return from vacation early next month, I will be getting my shot at the NXT Championship. I spoke to William Regal and, because I defeated Hideous Itami at TakeOver, I am the number one contender. So get ready Sami Zayn, because Kevin Owens is the least of your worries. Breeze out.”
Renee Young took over and said that while things began at NXT ArRival, the most recent TakeOver may have been the most explosive. This led to a series of clips and highlights from TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way, finishing with the brawl between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
A commercial aired for the newest WWE Film, “Jingle All the Way 2” starring Santino Marella and Larry the Cable Guy.
General Manager William Regal was shown in his office. A knock on the door and in stepped Curtis Axel. They shook hands and Curtis said that he was here for a chance. “My father was a WWE Hall of Famer. I was a Paul Heyman guy. I am a former Intercontinental Champion. All of those things should equal success, but I haven’t been able to maintain it. I think this is what I need. NXT is the place to be.” Regal thanked him for the words but wanted to know why Axel thought this would help. “Look at Tyson Kidd. His career was going nowhere until he showed up in NXT. Now, he’s in a tag team with Cesaro, pinned the Intercontinental Champion and is going to be in the Royal Rumble. Just give me a chance.” Regal agreed to give Axel a shot in the coming weeks. The vignette that aired at TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way of Apollo Crews working out at the Performance Center aired. Crews debuts in NXT soon!
Jason Albert now introduced a short video chronicling the tag team division in NXT. The longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champions, the Ascension, were first. Then it morphed into clips of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, the Lucha Dragons, the Vaudevillains, the Legionnaires, Blake and Murphy and our new Tag Team Champions, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady!
An advertisement ran to promote Total Divas. New episodes premiere every Sunday night on the E! Network!
This was followed by a graphic appearing on the screen. Renee Young announced, “Next week, right here on the special New Year’s edition of NXT, we will see a special main event. By virtue of her victory over Alexa Bliss last week, Becky Lynch has been named the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Next week, she gets her shot as Becky Lynch takes on Sasha Banks.”
In the back, Devin Taylor was standing by with the NXT Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks. She wanted to know Sasha’s thoughts on facing Becky Lynch next week. “I said it last week and I’ll say it again now. Becky Lynch isn’t on my level. She’s good and I’ll even go as far as to admit that she is the most deserving challenger right now. But that doesn’t change the fact that I am the best female this company has ever seen. On her best day, Becky Lynch can’t touch me and you’ll find that out first hand next week."
With that, Renee Young brought up the women’s division. “Right from that fateful night last year when Paige defeated Emma to become the first NXT Women’s Champion, the ladies of NXT have been making all kinds of waves.” A video package set to "Ghosts" by PVRIS was shown. It started by showing clips of Paige and Emma kick starting the buzz for the division. They faded out and the focus turned to Charlotte, who reigned as NXT Women’s Champion for nearly five months. Her match with Sasha Banks on Divas Smackdown, which remains the largest audience to ever see an NXT title match live, was shown. Sasha became the focal point, as her win over Bayley and 45-minute war with Charlotte were both shown. The final women highlighted were Becky Lynch, Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Carmella.
Now, Jason Albert pointed the direction to the future. “NXT is, at its core, about the future of this business. And while 2014 was a massive year for us, I have a feeling that 2015 will be even better and I think these guys are a good indication of why.” Another video package aired, focusing on the new stars of NXT. Baron Corbin, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, Blake, Murphy, Chad Gable and Kevin Owens were all showcased. A WWE.com exclusive interview aired with Kevin Owens. He was asked about the brawl between him and Sami Zayn continuing after TakeOver. “That doesn’t matter.” When they asked him to elaborate, Owens repeated himself. “Look, a brawl with Sami Zayn really doesn’t matter. I know everyone likes to dwell on our past friendship too, but that doesn’t matter either. The only thing that matters is the NXT Championship.” Owens walked away without another word.
The final video package on the night showed the people that have found success after time in NXT. Former NXT Champion Bo Dallas has gone on to form a successful tag team with the Big Show. Another former NXT Champion Adrian Neville came very close to becoming Intercontinental Champion recently and competed in the Survival Trials. The Wyatt Family has gone to war with John Cena and the McMahons. Paige brought back the WWE Women’s Championship and held it for over six months. Alexander Rusev remains undefeated and is the United States Champion. Emma holds the WWE Women’s Championship at present time and former NXT Champion Seth Rollins is the current Mr. Money in the Bank.
CHAD GABLE DEF. JACK SWAGGER W/ JASON JORDAN AND ZEB COLTER IN 8:04; Jack Swagger came into this match very confident and didn’t take Chad Gable too seriously. Gable quickly made him reconsider his strategy by taking Swagger to the mat and out wrestling him there. A frustrated Swagger took to using his size advantage to wear down Gable in the corner. Jason Jordan and Zeb Colter watched intently. Swagger got the Patriot Lock on and Gable was close to tapping out. Instead, he rolled forward and sent Swagger into the corner. Gable ran up behind him, rolled him backward into what looked like a pin, but kept rolling through into a dead lift German suplex that got the win!
An impressed Zeb Colter looked on, while an overexcited Jason Jordan hopped in the ring and celebrated with Chad Gable. Once Jack Swagger starting coming to, Jordan pulled away from Gable. Swagger smacked the mat and got in Gable’s face. Gable extended his hand, but Swagger just walked past him, bumping him in the shoulder.

Friday Night Smackdown: December 26th, 2014 – Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa
The weekly intro video kicked off the final Smackdown of 2014. Pyrotechnics shot off and the commentary team of Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and Booker T welcomed the viewers to tonight’s show. “We have a lot in store for you tonight! Several Royal Rumble qualifying matches, a WWE Women’s Championship match, the WWE Tag Team Titles are on the line and more as Smackdown looks to close 2014 with a bang.”
The music of the immortal Co-General Manager of the WWE, Hulk Hogan hit. He came out, playing to the crowd and working them into a frenzy. He entered the ring and wished the WWE Universe a merry Christmas. “Listen here brothers, tonight, I feel like giving you all some presents, what do you think about that?” The crowd roared and Hogan said that the first gift is a WWE Women’s Championship match. “Tonight, Emma will defend her title against Natalya.” Hogan reminded everyone that CM Punk and Daniel Bryan get their WWE Tag Team Title rematch tonight. He spoke about wanting to do something special tonight. That’s when John Cena’s theme played and the fourteen-time World Champion ran down to the ring. He seemed excited for tonight and played to the crowd for a bit. “Hulk, you’re absolutely right. You should do something special tonight. I think I’ve been a particularly good boy this year, but I didn’t get any gifts. Instead, this past Monday, I got a big lump of coal when Batista beat me to qualify for the Royal Rumble. Now, we all saw that he hit me with a low blow, but I’m not out here to complain about that. Batista won, I’m not going to compete in the Royal Rumble and that’s that. However, there was something else that I wanted last week. I told Randy Orton that he should give me a shot at his Royal Rumble title shot. Hulk, I think tonight, you give me that opportunity. Let me face Randy Orton.” The crowd gave a mixed reaction and Hogan pondered it. “I hear what you’re saying brother, but you did lose on Raw. I’m not Stephanie McMahon and I’m not just going to hand you things because I like you. I have a compromise though. Tonight, you get another shot at Batista. If you can beat Batista, then you get your match with Randy Orton on Raw and if you go on to win that one, you’re added to the title match at the Royal Rumble.” The crowd cheered for that and Cena shook Hogan’s hand, Mega Powers style, before heading to commercial. ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – DOLPH ZIGGLER DEF. JACK SWAGGER W/ ZEB COLTER IN 4:12; It’s been a while since we’ve seen former World Champion Jack Swagger. He’s been spending time in NXT, finding new tag team partners. Dolph Ziggler has been on quite the roll and it continued here. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro were on commentary throughout, with Kidd constantly bragging about beating Ziggler. He put away Swagger with a Zig Zag and qualified for the Royal Rumble. The Intercontinental Champion glared out at Kidd and Cesaro after the match.
In the back, Renee Young stood by with The Miz and Summer Rae. He was asked about his plans going forward. Miz responded by saying that he’s taking a break from movie roles. “As close as I am to obtaining that first Oscar award, my only focus right now is winning the Royal Rumble. Renee, do you realize that if I win the Royal Rumble, it is a guarantee that I’ll become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion? I’m undefeated in WrestleMania main events and that isn’t going to change after I win the Royal Rumble.”
Clips aired of the WWE’s recent Tribute to the Troops trip visit. ALEXANDER RUSEV W/ LANA DEF. ADAM ROSE IN 1:07; Alexander Rusev qualified for the Royal Rumble already, but he’s been targeted by Ryback. He showed his dominance here by running right through Adam Rose and making him submit to the Accolade. Lana entered the ring and made him break the hold. He raised the US Title high above his head.
The Raw Rebound was shown, focusing on Dolph Ziggler’s successful defense of the Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins.
WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – EMMA (C) DEF. NATALYA IN 4:52; This past Monday, Tyson Kidd stated that he and Cesaro wanted to take all of the gold in the WWE. He suggested that Natalya could go after the Women’s Title and she was granted a shot here by virtue of her win on Raw. Natalya came close with the Sharpshooter, but Emma was able to counter it into the Emma Lock and force her to tap out.
Emma stood up and posed with the Women’s Title, shouting “IT’S ABOUT ME!” Her celebration was cut short by the crowd beginning to cheer loudly. She looked around to see what caused it and finally turned to the tron, where the below graphic appeared. Emma let out an angry roar, knowing what lies ahead.
Popsugar.com has voted Total Divas as the number one reality TV show of 2014! WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP – ERICK ROWAN AND LUKE HARPER (C) W/ BRAY WYATT DEF. CM PUNK AND DANIEL BRYAN IN 11:48; The big rematch from TLC, except that this time around, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper entered as the champions. They beat down on CM Punk and Daniel Bryan throughout. Bryan and Punk worked like a well-oiled machine once they turned things around. Punk got Rowan up for the GTS, but Harper blind tagged in on Rowan’s leg. Punk hit the GTS and Bryan went for the Busaiku Knee but Harper entered and laid him out with the discus lariat. Behind the referee’s back, Bray pulled Punk out of the ring and Harper got the three. Bray laughed in the face of a frustrated Punk before the Wyatt signature hit and they disappeared.
“Break The Walls Down” hit and Chris Jericho made his way down to the ring. He grabbed a microphone to address the WWE Universe before his upcoming match. He told the fans to quiet down several times before shifting his focus to Cody Rhodes. “You all remember Cody Rhodes right? The flash in the pan that nobody would shut up about during the Survival Trials. The guy that I handily defeated at TLC and nearly put on the shelf on Monday. That Cody Rhodes. He seems intent on doing the one thing he can’t do again, which is beat me. So I’ve extended an invitation to Cody. Come be on the Highlight Reel this Monday and we can lay it all on the table. Personally, I’m over you being around every corner and it’s time to end this.”ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – CHRIS JERICHO DEF. R-TRUTH IN 2:11; A former Royal Rumble runner-up qualified for the 2015 edition. R-Truth found himself in a whole heap of trouble and fell quickly to a Codebreaker. A vignette aired of Xavier Woods on stage, like he has been in recent weeks. This time though, he was teaching Big E and Kofi Kingston. He tried to get them to do a James Brown like dance but it wasn’t working. “But what if I did this?” asked Kofi and he began to twerk on stage. Xavier’s eyes opened wide and Big E joined in, gyrating suggestively next to Kofi. “YOU CAN’T DO THAT IN A CHURCH!” exclaimed Woods. Kofi sighed but Xavier said, “Good thing we aren’t training for church though.” The three men went back to dancing to end the video. Renee Young stood by backstage with Alberto Del Rio. She wanted his thoughts on his career ever since the Rey Mysterio retirement match. “It’s true, I haven’t been making waves around the WWE since Survivor Series. That’s my fault. I need to get back to that El Patron that took the United States Title from Bad News Barrett. That begins again on Monday when I qualify for the Royal Rumble. Then, on that night, I’m going to outlast 29 perros and get back to WrestleMania.” JOHN CENA DEF. BATISTA IN 11:19; Much like Monday night’s match, this was a struggle between two powerhouses. Batista took control and nailed a big spinebuster. Randy Orton strolled down to ringside to get a closer look. Batista called for his finisher but Cena tripped him up and rolled into a jackknife pin for two. They got up together and Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment to even the score from Monday. Cena hopped to his feet and threw his hands in the air before turning to Orton. “These two surefire Hall of Famers ended 2013 by going to war for the WWE Championship and they’re going to end 2014 fighting for another shot” exclaimed Michael Cole.

- Co-GM Hulk Hogan starting off Smackdown...always love Hogan starting off a show and then seeing him being interrupted by none other than John Cena...nothing like seeing Cena and Hogan in the same ring at the same time because everyone compares Cena to Hogan so to see them in the ring together was magical to say the least but Cena of course he is going to want another shot at Batista even though Batista beat Cena fair and square...yes Batista may have cheated his way to a victory against Cena but the bottom line is that Cena lost he's out of the Royal Rumble Match so what does Cena want? Another chance to get into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match...of course Cena would want that I mean why can't Cena just leave well enough alone? I mean seriously he lost at TLC in the Triple Threat and then he loses to Batista...and now Hogan gives Cena what he wants...another shot at Orton and if Cena wins he is added to the match at the Royal Rumble PPV and it becomes a Triple Threat Match at the 2015 Royal Rumble PPV for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship...this is clearly blatant favoritism here with Hogan and Cena and I know Orton can't be happy about this I know Lesnar wherever he is he can't be happy about this either
- WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler qualifying for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match by beating Jack Swagger...I would have expected Zeb Colter or The Real Americans like Jordan and Gable to get involved here and cost Ziggler the match making sure that Swagger won but that didn't go down and or I would have expected Tyson Kidd or even Antonio Cesaro to get involved here also especially given the fact that Kidd he has not only pinned Ziggler but that he has more or less been bragging about it but also the fact that both he and Cesaro were on commentary for this match as well but with Ziggler in the Royal Rumble Match he has got to be considered a favorite but then again he is going to be in there with the likes of Kidd, Cesaro, etc.
- Miz has he even qualified for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match yet? I don't think he has but I think he will but I just love this pairing of him and Summer Rae together but I wonder how long that lasts before he drops her and replaces her with his wife Maryse?
- WWE United States Champion Rusev adds yet another victim to his long list of victims in his undefeated streak this time beating Adam Rose...I mean Rusev hasn't been pinned he hasn't been made to submit by anyone...the man hasn't lost a match probably has the most momentum of any superstar in the WWE and on top of that he is the WWE United States Champion he has probably got to be the odds on favorite to win the 2015 Royal Rumble Match hell he has to be the favorite to win it all I mean seriously who can stop him really?
- Emma successfully retaining her WWE Women's Championship beating Natalya...yet another big name Emma has beaten to retain her WWE Women's Championship I mean she has not only beaten Paige and AJ Lee but now has beaten Natalya...maybe Emma is right maybe she has become this entire division I mean she is the champion after all and she not only put AJ on the shelf she put Paige on the shelf too and now she beats Natalya I mean who can beat Emma for that title?
- Paige returning this Monday on RAW...you know she is going to want blood she is going to want payback for not only what Emma did to her putting her on the shelf but she is going to want her rematch for the WWE Women's Championship on top of that
- Erick Rowan and Luke Harper retaining their WWE Tag Team Championships beating CM Punk & Daniel Bryan in a rematch from TLC...well big assist goes to their leader the patriarch of The Wyatt Family Bray Wyatt because if he hadn't gotten involved in this match Punk and Bryan would have won the titles back but that being said it begs the question of if Bray Wyatt will now set his sights on qualifying for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match? I mean Punk and Bryan are already in the match but none of the Wyatt Family members are in at least for now but I wonder if they will somehow qualify?
- Chris Jericho he wants to end the rivalry between himself and Cody Rhodes...I can't blame him considering all Rhodes has done is attack him at every turn especially since Jericho beat him fair and square but Cody he is in the Royal Rumble Match but I wonder if Jericho will qualify too? Jericho was right about one thing Cody Rhodes was a flash in the pan because of that whole Survival Trials run and then he got beat at TLC by Jericho so it pretty much proves that Cody can't hang in the main event and Jericho challenging Rhodes to show up at RAW on Monday at the Highlight Reel...knowing Rhodes he will definitely show up but I wonder if that is what Jericho is counting on? Jericho of course is setting the trap for Rhodes
- Jericho becoming the latest name to qualify for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match beating R-Truth to get into the match... Chris Jericho he has never won a Royal Rumble Match in his illustrious career but Jericho he has got to be considered a favorite I mean the man has headlined WrestleMania he is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion the first ever WWE Undisputed Champion in history but then again Cody Rhodes is also in the Royal Rumble Match too so something has gotta give
- Another New Day vignette more or less...I mean The New Day is being formed right here before our very eyes I just can't wait to see them come back but as a team as a trio
- Alberto Del Rio what he needs to do is bring back his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez...Alberto was at his best when he had Ricardo by his side he needs to be the Del Rio of old he needs to bring back the expensive cars be the wealthy Del Rio all over again he needs to be that guy again...but Del Rio he is a former Royal Rumble Match winner he won the biggest Royal Rumble Match in history 40 men back in 2011 so El Patron I can see him qualifying for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match
- Main event sees Cena beat Batista...the rivalry continues with Cena getting his win back by beating Batista considering Batista beat Cena this past Monday on RAW in order to qualify for the 2015 Royal Rumble Match but seeing Orton show up at ringside to get a better look I would have expected Orton to get involved in this match to make sure that Cena didn't win to make sure that his match at the Royal Rumble PPV for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against the WWE World Heavyweight Champion The Beast The Conqueror Brock Lesnar stayed one on one but Orton didn't even cause a distraction or didn't even get involved while the ref's back was turned which shocked me to say the least...but seeing Cena get the win here now he gets to face Orton on Monday in the main event of RAW and if Cena wins he gets added to the match at Royal Rumble or unless Orton has something up his sleeve

Monday Night Raw: December 29th, 2014 – Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
Edge’s emotional retirement speech back in 2011 is highlighted in the opening video package this week. That then cuts into clips throughout his illustrious career and a voiceover reminds the viewers that tonight, Edge hosts Monday Night Raw. This was followed by the weekly intro video and a look around the arena. After Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield introduced the show, the fans erupted.Edge’s theme played but he didn’t come out. Instead, the crowd got even louder when he and Christian appeared in the audience, making their entrance like they used to almost fifteen years ago. Once inside, they high fived and Edge began to speak, saying it’s good to be back. “Tonight, we’re here to have fun. Christian has agreed to help me host because of the ideas we’ve come up with together. For example, there will be no Highlight Reel tonight. Instead, both Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes will be guests on the Cutting Edge!” The fans popped but Christian interrupted, “Uh, I thought they could be guests on the Peep Show.” Edge gave him a weird look and responded with, “Why? That sounds like a show a 1920’s pervert would pay a nickel to see.” Christian stepped back and the crowd laughed. Edge came up with the idea to do the “Cutting Edge Peep Show” tonight. “I have another idea though Christian. Though I can’t compete anymore, you’re still on the active roster. I think you should have an opportunity that you never got before. I think you should have a chance to main event WrestleMania. So tonight, since I’m in charge with Stephanie McMahon and Hulk Hogan on vacation, I’m putting you in a Royal Rumble qualifying match!” Christian high fived his best friend but the fun ended with the arrival of Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins. He walked out onto the stage, giving the former WWE Tag Team Champions a disgusted look. Seth said that the last Raw of 2014 shouldn’t be about them. “We’re not here to look back and reminisce about two has-beens. We should be looking forward to 2015. You know, the year where I cash this briefcase in and become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This should be a celebration of the future.” Edge cut Seth off with, “Are you calling us has-beens because you’re simply a never-was?” A frustrated Seth put his hands on his hips but Christian spoke before he could. “I have an idea. You don’t want us to focus on the past and doing the opposite of what you say seems to be a good plan. So with us looking to the past, you were well known for six-man tag matches with a certain group called the Shield. I think we should have a six-man tag right here tonight. And I think it should involve two of those Shield members.” The crowd cheered and Christian told Seth to find partners tonight, because Dean Ambrose will be doing the same. “And before we go, we have a special gift for those of you with flash photography…” A five second pose ended the segment.
RYBACK DEF. SHEAMUS IN 9:44; With his eyes on Alexander Rusev and the United States Championship, Ryback took on another hoss of the WWE. Sheamus and Ryback beat the hell out of one another throughout this match. Sheamus missed a Brogue Kick and Ryback drilled him with a Meat Hook clothesline. He then bested him with the Shell Shock. Before Ryback even got a chance to celebrate, Rusev hit the ring and laid him out with a jumping kick. Rusev then stomped on his back and locked in the Accolade. Rusev let out a roar while wrenching hard on Ryback until Lana casually gave the signal to break the hold. The United States Champion has sent a clear message to Ryback.
The music of Paige hit to a huge ovation as the former WWE Women’s Champion walked to the ring for the first time in over a month. While she walked to the ring, a replay of the Michinoku Driver that she took through the table last month was shown. Once inside, Paige waited for the fans to quiet down. Paige spoke directly to Emma, stating that she was back for two things. “I want my WWE Women’s Championship and I’m gonna beat your ass Emma.” With those simple words, Paige went to leave but Emma’s theme hit and the current WWE Women’s Champion appeared. “Oh please Paige. You think you can come back, make idle threats and get me to quiver in my boots? I already proved to you and the entire world that I am the better woman. If you dare step into the ring with me again, not only will you not get this back, but you will end up back in the hospital.” Emma didn’t enter the ring, choosing to stay outside. She added that Paige was guaranteed a rematch but it has been over a month and rematches do expire. Paige took a step towards Emma only to hear “You can look but you can’t touch.” Nikki Bella stepped out onto the stage and told Emma that Paige isn’t the only one looking to get their hands on her. “Don’t think I forgot what you did to my sister. Your paranoia has ruined this division. You couldn’t even stand to see us on the cover of a magazine because you’re so insecure about your spot atop the division. And it finally dawned on me. You’re insecure because you don’t believe your own hype. And if you don’t believe your own hype, then that means you’re beatable. Paige, you can demand all the title shots that you want, but the line for it starts with me.” Paige gave Nikki a bewildered look and said, “Excuse me, I’m here to be champion, not a reality TV star.” With that, Paige exited the ring and went after Emma, who hopped the guardrail and got behind security in the crowd.
ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – ALBERTO DEL RIO DEF. CURT HAWKINS IN 2:06; On Smackdown, Alberto Del Rio stated that he was preparing to get his career back on track after not doing much for the past few weeks. He got off on the right foot with a quick submission victory over Curt Hawkins to qualify for the Royal Rumble.
In the back, Seth Rollins was shown walking around. Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Natalya came up to him and Kidd seemed very excited. Cesaro spoke, “Seth, Seth, Set. You and I, we go way back.” Tyson chimed in, “Fact.” Cesaro continued, “You need two partners tonight.” “Fact,” said Tyson. “We are the best tag team in the entire WWE,” said Cesaro. “Fact,” said Tyson again. Seth gave Tyson a confused look but said that this is the best offer he’s received so far. “You’re right Cesaro. We do go way back. I know just how good you are.” They shook hands. THE MIZ W/ SUMMER RAE DEF. CM PUNK IN 10:10; Commentary hyped this match as a preview for the Royal Rumble, since both guys have qualified already. CM Punk came out with fire, seemingly still upset about losing the Tag Team Titles and failing to regain them. He hit the GTS but Miz fell outside. An angry Punk followed and slid him inside. Summer Rae distracted him for a few seconds but Punk shooed her away. He got back in and hoisted Miz up for a second GTS. Miz slipped free, kicked him low out of the referee’s view, and pulled off the upset with the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz and Summer were quick to escape and head up the ramp. With wins over Mark Henry and now CM Punk, Miz is on a roll heading into the Royal Rumble.
Footage from the break aired, where CM Punk realized what happened and lost his cool. He pounded the mat in frustration and let out a loud roar. Punk shoved away the referee who attempted to assist him.
A special vignette aired, showing all record-breaking twelve eliminations by Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. Reigns cocked his fist and punched the screen before the words “ROMAN REIGNS RETURNS AT THE ROYAL RUMBLE” flashed.
AJ LEE DEF. ALICIA FOX IN 3:37; Much like last week, AJ Lee came out with a lot of energy and picked up a win in the women’s division. She has rebounded nicely from the loss at TLC. Also much like last week, AJ Lee snatched a microphone from ringside after the bell. “Hear me out Emma. I don’t care that Paige has come back. I don’t care that Nikki Bella is trying to pout her way to a title shot. I’m not finished with you.”
In the back, Dean Ambrose was preparing for his match when the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler walked up to him. Dolph casually talked to him so Dean cut him off. “Look, I don’t have time for small talk right now so if you got something to say, say it.” Dolph said that Dean looked like he still needed partners tonight. Dean responded, “It looks that way, but I’m not gonna go beg anyone to join me. If you wanna fight with me, then that’s up to you.” Dolph nodded, “I saw Tyson Kidd and Cesaro join Seth. I’m in.” Dean fist bumped him in acceptance.
CESARO, SETH ROLLINS AND TYSON KIDD W/ NATALYA DEF. DANIEL BRYAN, DEAN AMBROSE AND DOLPH ZIGGLER IN 16:14; Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler were ready to go at this despite a 3-2 disadvantage. Daniel Bryan’s music played and the leader of the “Yes” movement came out to assist them. This was the match of the night, as all six competitors brought their “A” game. Dolph Ziggler got isolated by the heels, who all talked trash to him. Ambrose got the hot tag and hit everything moving, including back to back tope suicidas to Cesaro and Seth. Ziggler tagged in before the suicida on Seth and came in with Kidd as opposing legal man. Ziggler went for the Fameasser but Kidd avoided it. Cesaro slid in and ran Dolph over with an uppercut, before taking Bryan down in the corner. Kidd then nailed the blockbuster on Ziggler for his second pinfall over the IC Champion in the past few weeks. Kidd and Cesaro celebrated their victory, but Dean and Seth continued to fight through the crowd and to the back. Returning, footage aired from the break where Dean Ambrose took Seth Rollins and threw him into the men’s room. The cameras followed as Dean looked at a stall and kicked it in. Hornswoggle ran out holding his pants up with a roll of toilet paper in his other hand. Dean dragged Seth over, asking “Hey Seth, remember those swirlies you’d get in high school?” Before he could make good on one, security ran in and pulled Seth away to keep them apart.
A new vignette aired, featuring Xavier Woods. He spoke in front of a choir, saying that it's time for a change. "You need to embrace it. It is a new day. The power of positivity compels you, me and every single person in the WWE Universe." He got taken away from the microphone by two women before trying to reach back for it like James Brown. The words "A NEW DAY IS COMING" flashed across the screen. The ring was now set up for the Cutting Edge Peep Show, with Edge and Christian in the ring. Christian looked around and questioned Edge before they began. “So, how come most of the furniture around here is from the Cutting Edge and all that we could get from the Peep Show props was the arrow?” The fans laughed and Edge gave an awkward silence before getting right to introducing the guests. “Ladies and gentlemen, another of my former tag team partners and six time World Champion, Chris Jericho!” Jericho walked to the ring with a disgusted mug on his face, clearly unhappy about the Highlight Reel being cancelled. Edge went to introduce Cody Rhodes but Jericho cut him off. “Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. Who the hell do you think you are? You think that you can show up once or twice a year and run things?” Edge gave a slight shrug, “Uh, yeah. That’s exactly how this works.” An annoyed Jericho dug deep and got personal, reminding Edge of why that’s the case. “Remember what I told you before our match at WrestleMania 26? Remember why our run as Tag Team Champions was cut short? It’s because while I am a stud of an athlete that has never been injured, you were weak. You had to be forced into early retirement. So while I am still active and as good as I always have been, you sit on your ass at home and show up here to host with your nearly as broken down friend.” Christian stepped forward to get physical but the music of Cody Rhodes hit. He walked to the ring with a microphone. “Hold on a second Christian. Now we all know that Chris Jericho is right about at least one thing. He is just as good as he always has been and by that I mean, he’s still the biggest jackass in the WWE.” The crowd cheered for that as Cody entered the ring and wanted to get to the bottom of it all. “You asked me out here tonight and even though this isn’t the Highlight Reel, what the hell do you want?” Jericho stepped right in Cody’s face and said that he explained his intentions on Smackdown. “This needs to end. I know you’re sick of me and I’m damn sure sick of you. I need to finish you off and move on to bigger and better things. You beat me in the Survival Trials. I beat you at TLC. You and I, one more time, next Monday night.” Cody seemed intrigued but had an idea. “I need to move on to bigger and better things myself Chris. So let’s really end this. We’re laying it on the table, we’re getting everything off of our chests. Let’s do that next week. No holds barred.” Jericho took a step back, “Whoa, wait just a minute.” Edge jumped in between them and said “You got it! I’m officially in charge right now so I make the match for next week. Cody Rhodes vs. Chris Jericho in a no holds barred match!” The crowd cheered and Cody left with a smirk, while Jericho protested to Edge. ROYAL RUMBLE WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE SHOT – JOHN CENA DEF. RANDY ORTON VIA DISQUALIFICATION IN 11:03; The crowd gave this match a mixed reaction since they’ve certain seen these two battle one on one a lot over the years. Randy Orton was annoyed at being involved in this match, but took several chances to win on flash pins early. John Cena weathered the storm and locked in the STF. Orton survived by reaching the ropes. Cena tried the AA, but Orton landed on his feet and went for the RKO. Cena shoved him off and Orton bumped into the referee. Cena nailed the AA and tried to wake up the official. Orton rolled outside towards the timekeeper’s area. The referee was up as Cena followed. Orton grabbed a chair, turned and whacked Cena with it. When the referee called for the bell, Orton dropped the chair and put his hands on his head in disbelief. “Randy Orton thought the official was down and has just cost himself a one on one WWE Title shot! John Cena, Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar meet at the Royal Rumble!” exclaimed Michael Cole. Before a commercial break, a limousine was shown pulling up to the arena. When the show returned, Shane McMahon stepped out to a pop, as we’ll hear from him for the first time since TLC. An even louder reaction came when his father, Vince McMahon followed out of the limo!
This led right into a recap of the war between the Wyatt Family and the McMahons. The Wyatts attacked Vince McMahon the night after Hell in a Cell. Triple H attempted to avenge his father-in-law but was put chokeslammed off the stage by Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Shane McMahon returned to seek vengeance, but ultimately fell to Bray Wyatt in a Chairs match at TLC. Tonight, Shane McMahon addressees the WWE Universe. In the back, Christian was shown warming up. Edge entered the room to see if he was ready. Christian responded, “I just, I have to thank you man. There was a good chance that I wasn’t going to get an opportunity like this again. I’m going to qualify for the Royal Rumble and I’m going to get one more match at WrestleMania.” Edge high fived him and Christian left for his match.
A graphic appeared to announce that next Monday, on the first Raw of the new year, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar returns! He and Paul Heyman will be in attendance to sign the contract for the now Triple Threat match at the Royal Rumble with Randy Orton and John Cena.
ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – CHRISTIAN DEF. BRODUS CLAY IN 3:17; Christian was a bit surprised at his large opponent, but wrestled a smart match. He avoided Brodus Clay’s grasp several times and used his speed to his advantage. Clay ran into the turnbuckle and Christian scored with the Killswitch to qualify. The crowd roared and celebrated along with Captain Charisma, who has one more shot to make his dreams come true.
“No Chance in Hell” hit to a huge ovation as Vince and Shane McMahon made their way down to the ring. Vince had a clipboard in hand. Once inside, Shane spoke first, saying that the past two months have been some of the hardest in the history of the family. “My father spent weeks in the hospital as a result of what the Wyatt Family did to him. He’s only made one public appearance since that night. My brother-in-law has been through a ton throughout his career but what Erick Rowan and Luke Harper did to him, he was more banged up mentally than I’ve ever seen him. And me? I returned to a place that I never thought I would come back to and went to war with Bray Wyatt. I’m not ashamed to admit that I gave it everything I had, but Bray was too much for me. We are here tonight to say that, for the first time in McMahon family history, we don’t know what to do.” Vince took over, saying that he never thought this day would come. “We’ve battled with Steve Austin, The Undertaker, The Rock, Shawn Michaels and countless WWE Superstars. Yet none have put us in this position. Bray Wyatt wants power and control of the WWE. Unfortunately, ladies and gentlemen…we have come here tonight to agree.” Loud boos filled the arena and commentary was at a loss. The Wyatt signature hit and suddenly, all three Wyatt Family members were in the ring across from the McMahons. Bray had a huge grin as he addressed them. “I knew you’d come around. Power is what I crave. Power is exactly why these people follow the buzzards. Now that I’ll have more power than ever before, there will be more followers.” Vince said that the clipboard in his hand featured the documents to turn over full control of the WWE. “Sure my son and daughter have power but the company is still in my hands. Until now at least. Once we both sign, this will be official.” Shane turned away, not wanting to see this. Vince picked up the clipboard and pulled out a pen.“ON YOUR KNEES DOG.” The roof of the Verizon Center nearly blew off as Triple H stepped out onto the stage. This wasn’t the COO of the company though. This was “The Game.” Triple H stayed atop the ramp while Shane and Vince both looked shocked. The Wyatt Family stood still, with even the usually in control Bray unsure of what to do. Triple H removed his leather jacket and reached to his back, pulling out a sledgehammer to an even bigger pop. He began walking to the ring, when Shane jumped on Luke Harper’s back. Erick Rowan went to attack but Vince demanded a chair from ringside. He was given one and whacked Rowan with it in the back. With those four going at it, Bray was left alone staring across from Triple H. Bray took a swing but HHH ducked and leveled him in the ribs with the sledgehammer. Triple H continued in with right hand after right hand until a clothesline sent Bray over and outside. The Wyatt signature hit and when the lights came back on, the three members were gone. The crowd continued to go rabid at the sight of Triple H in the ring. Shane and Vince joined him, still stunned. Triple H picked up the clipboard, removed the documents from it and ripped them to shreds.

- I knew Triple H would return but with him returning it begs the question of what happens now? I mean it is obvious that all roads are pointing towards Triple H vs Bray Wyatt but just when will the match happen? If anything if it happens at Royal Rumble then this is where we will see the debut of The Black Sheep Braun Strowman and Strowman will be the newest member of The Wyatt Family but if the match does happen then I could also see it happening at WrestleMania 31
- Christian qualifies for the Royal Rumble Match by beating Brodus Clay...Christian has got to be a favorite but I can't see him winning but hey stranger things have happened but I don't see it happening at all...I just can't and honestly Christian even though he is a veteran this is more or less his last run as a singles guy
- John Cena beating Orton by DQ...I just didn't expect this match to end in a DQ but at the same time I was hoping for an Orton win and why? Because we were going to see the dream match the one on one match everyone was waiting to see...Lesnar vs Orton but instead you rob us of that and put Cena in the main event I mean Cena has had enough chances to win the title but Orton getting DQed I am just surprised that the match had to end like that but it sets up a Triple Threat Match...Lesnar vs Cena vs Orton and Lesnar The Beast the 1 in 21-1 The Conqueror he doesn't even have to be pinned or even made to submit to lose his title...either Orton could pin Cena or vice versa and Lesnar could lose the title that way but I wonder if Rollins will try to cash in?
- Jericho vs Rhodes No Holds Barred I wonder who that favours more? Rhodes or Jericho? Either way the rivalry will end and we will have a clear cut winner once and for all but I can bet that next week this is the match that will main event RAW
- Cesaro, Kidd and Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins beat WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose in 6 man tag team action...Cesaro & Kidd have been on quite the roll here lately in WWE beating team after team in the tag team division but getting yet another win under their belt but this time in a 6 man Tag Team match they have to be put into the conversation as far as WWE Tag Team Championship material goes but then comes the Royal Rumble and it is every man for himself so let's see if Cesaro eliminates Kidd or vice versa but as for Rollins he now has the upper hand on Ambrose but I wonder how much longer that lasts before the Royal Rumble Match?
- Ambrose attacking Rollins yet again...I mean I am just surprised that Ambrose is lurking at every turn trying to get within arms reach I mean if he is really that desperate to get his hands on Rollins then why doesn't he just challenge him to a match?
- The New Day...I wonder when they will make their re-debut?
- AJ Lee after beating Alicia Fox seemingly making it clear that she is not done with the WWE Women's Champion Emma either...it seems Emma has become quite the marked woman lately in the WWE but also quite the marked woman in the division I mean the target is now on her back and now everyone is after her because they all want what she has
- Roman Reigns another WWE return vignette for him I wonder how much longer before the fans turn on Roman? I mean if they haven't turned on him before they will turn on him now especially with him returning I mean it is so obvious that this platform is being used for him to return to win the 2015 Royal Rumble Match...I mean that is where it all began the hatred for Roman and it won't be any different here
- Del Rio beating Hawkins to qualify for the 2015 Royal Rumble...Del Rio has to be a favorite I mean after all he did win the Royal Rumble Match he is a former Royal Rumble winner winning the biggest Royal Rumble Match in history 40 superstars in 2011 so if anyone has to be a favorite it has to be Del Rio and not to mention he has main evented WrestleMania he is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion but what Del Rio needs what he really needs is Ricardo Rodriguez back as his personal ring announcer he needs to be the Del Rio of old
- The Miz beating CM Punk...now this has got to be a shocker it has to be an upset considering the fact that not only is Punk The Best in the World but Punk is miles better than The Miz in every single way possible but Miz hasn't really been relevant in a while but Miz has been on a roll as of late but with him beating Punk I definitely did not expect that but after this loss I wonder what is next for Punk? Punk I can either see him snapping and turning heel or Punk snaps and in the Royal Rumble Match he clears the whole ring winning the Royal Rumble Match for the first time in his career because Punk he has never won a Rumble in his illustrious career
- Ryback beating Authority member Sheamus...it seems The Big Guy he is on quite the roll and I mean it is obvious you are building Ryback up or building Ryback back up into the unstoppable force that he once was way back in 2012-13 and that is the way to go with Ryback seemingly getting win after win and Ryback is on quite a while but Ryback getting attacked post-match by Rusev and Rusev locking in The Accolade it is obvious this will lead to a Rusev/Ryback program but if it happens personally I would hold off on it until WrestleMania 31 to be honest
- And Paige's return I mean it is obvious she wants her title back but Paige is the former champion she wants her title back and legally she is entitled to her rematch for the WWE Women's Championship but then seeing her be interrupted by Nikki Bella of all people and then Emma the WWE Women's Champion it is obvious that this either leads up to a Triple Threat for the WWE Women's Championship but with AJ in the mix it ends up being a Fatal 4-Way or it ends up being a Triple Threat #1 Contender's Match for the WWE Women's Championship and the winner of that ends up facing Emma for the WWE Women's Championship at WWE Fast Lane

WWE NXT: January 1st, 2015 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
Following the WWE signature, NXT’s weekly intro video package was shown. The camera panned around the Full Sail Arena as Rich Brennan, Alex Riley and Renee Young welcomed viewers to a special edition of NXT television. “Hello everyone and happy New Year! We thank you for joining us on your holiday. We have a very big episode in store for you, capped off by a massive NXT Women’s Championship match between Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch” explained Brennan.
SOLOMON CROWEL DEF. MOJO RAWLEY IN 3:05; After a tough loss at the hands of Finn Balor a few weeks ago, Solomon Crowe rebounded tonight against the hypest man in NXT. Mojo came out firing but Crowe weathered the storm and made him tap out to the stretch muffler.
Devin Taylor stood by with Hideo Itami. She asked for his thoughts following his first loss at TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way. Itami did his best with English, saying that he’s still not over it. “I know that Tyler Breeze has an NXT Title shot. Win or lose… we are not finished.”
An advertisement ran to promote NXT’s move to Wednesday nights starting in two weeks.
On January 25th, the road to WrestleMania 31 officially begins when the WWE presents the Royal Rumble, live on the WWE Network!
BLAKE AND MURPHY DEF. THE LUCHA DRAGONS IN 4:08; In what came as a surprise to commentary and many in attendance, the relatively unknown duo of Blake and Murphy bested Sin Cara and Kalisto here. They worked very well together and pinned Kalisto following a running brainbuster by Murphy and frog splash from Blake. The successful team celebrated in brash fashion as they left up the ramp. Next week, NXT's newest Superstar makes his debut. Apollo Crews arrives in seven days!
A quick recap of TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way was shown. We see footage of Sasha Banks’ victory over Bayley and get informed that next week, Bayley returns to NXT for the first time since the heart breaking defeat. In the back, Tom Phillips interviewed Alexa Bliss about her loss to Becky Lynch a few weeks ago and the subsequent frustration that she showed. Alexa said that she wasn’t going to apologize for the outburst. “How dare you insinuate that I threw some sort of tantrum? I am better than Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Sasha Banks and every other woman in NXT but I’ve been wasting too much time trying to be nice and be this fairy princess for those people out there. All of that is over. You’re all gonna realize that doubting me is a Blisstake.” William Regal was shown in his office and he had an announcement to make. “I’ve heard everything that Tyler Breeze has said in recent weeks and the man has a good point. He did defeat Hideo Itami at TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way and has racked up a lot of victories in recent months. Therefore, I’ve made the decision that next week, right here on NXT, Tyler Breeze will go one on one with Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship.”
A commercial aired to promote the return of Total Divas this Sunday. Renee Young left commentary to conduct an in-ring interview with Finn Balor. For the first time since his big win over Solomon Crowe at TakeOver, Balor was here. A recap was shown of his goosebumps inducing entrance at the event. Renee congratulated Finn on his recent win and asked what he planned on tackling next. “I’ve been thinking about that a lot Renee and I think the answer is obvious. I want what everyone in NXT wants. I’m coming for the NXT Championship.” The crowd popped but those turned to boos when the music of Curtis Axel hit. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion walked to the stage with a microphone. “Pardon the interruption, but I have something to say and it is way more important than anything that will come out of this rookie’s mouth. Last week, I spoke with General Manager William Regal and he has agreed to allow me to showcase my talents on NXT. So if anyone around here is going to be the next NXT Champion, it’s me.” The fans booed until Finn spoke again. He dared Axel to show his talents now by getting in the ring with him. Axel responded, “Please. I’m the star around here. I’m the son of a Hall of Famer. I’m the former Intercontinental Champion. I don’t compete on your time, you wait until I’m ready.”
A commercial aired to plug the latest WWE DVD release on the giants throughout WWE history. BARON CORBIN DEF. BULL DEMPSEY IN 0:28; Bull appeared on Smackdown a few weeks ago in a tag team loss to the Ascension. That match was over quickly but this was even faster. Baron Corbin won with an impressive End of Days. The dominating streak of Corbin continues. An advertisement ran to promote NXT’s move to Wednesday nights in two weeks. Tyler Breeze was the focal point.Viewers were now taken to some pre-recorded words from Kevin Owens. “I’m not here to spout off any fancy catchphrases. I’m not here to get you people to like me. I’m not even here to talk about Sami Zayn. Because this whole thing, from my arrival in NXT to the Tag Team Title win to powerbombing Sami has never actually been about Sami. Don’t get me wrong, I told him that I hated his guts and I do, but this is about the title that he carries on his shoulder. That should be mine. I need that title because having it means more money for me and more money means food on the table and a better life for my wife and my kids. They come before everything. If Corey Graves was still the NXT Champion, he’d be my target. But he’s not. Sami is in the way of what I want and I don’t care if we were brothers, I’d end end him for a shot.
NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – SASHA BANKS (C) DEF. BECKY LYNCH VIA REF STOPPAGE IN 10:08; As has been the case in recent weeks, the Full Sail fans were firmly in the corner of Becky Lynch. She went after the arm of Sasha Banks, looking to set up her Dis-Arm-Her submission. Sasha didn’t just get frustrated, she actually got angry that Becky did this. Sasha went after Becky’s arm to even the score, but Becky stayed one step ahead of her. She went for her finisher, but Sasha quickly got her feet on the ropes. When Sasha hit the back stabber, you could see the fury in her face. Instead of attempting the Bank Statement, Sasha wrapped Becky’s left arm between her legs and grabbed the right arm. Sasha looked at the crowd before snapping the arm back as hard as she could. Becky writhed around in agony. The referee checked on her and called for the bell. The NXT crowd booed loudly as Sasha Banks raised her arms in victory. The referee called for medical help while Becky Lynch continued to hold her right shoulder. Her screams could be heard clearly. “What the hell is wrong with Sasha Banks? That was completely uncalled for” exclaimed Renee Young. Sasha grabbed her title from ringside and headed up the ramp. The tron caught Becky’s face and the tears running down her cheeks. Sasha turned to the audience with a smile and mocked the crying Becky before leaving to the back.

- The first NXT of the New Year...now we are officially in 2015 in your diary but this is probably my first time commenting on an NXT show in quite a while
- Solomon Crowe beating Mojo Rawley in tonight's opening contest...well it is a new year a new day so now that Crowe has started off his year with a win by beating Rawley perhaps Crowe can start off 2015 on a good note and it looks like he is especially after this win especially considering his loss to Finn Balor was in 2014 it is 2015 now
- Hideo Itami it seems win or loss he is not done with Tyler Breeze even though Tyler Breeze is done with him it makes me wonder if Itami won't try to interfere in Breeze's NXT Championship match against the NXT Champion Sami Zayn?
- I just can't wait until the Royal Rumble PPV...one of if not my favorite PPV of the whole calendar year...30 superstars 1 winner and the winner gets a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 31 in the main event and half of the field is already in there so I wonder who will make up the other half of that field between now and the Royal Rumble PPV itself?
- Blake and Murphy beating the Lucha Dragons...I mean it is just another case of the NXT tag team division heating up I mean Blake and Murphy I wasn't expecting them to win this match given the fact that the Lucha Dragons Sin Cara and Kalisto have been on a roll as of late but also in this division but then again it puts Blake & Murphy in the conversation as far as the NXT Tag Team Championship is concerned
- It seems you are building up Apollo Crews to be a big deal here in NXT yet he hasn't even debuted yet
- Bayley now that she is returning I am sure she won't give up in her quest to become NXT Women's Champion even though she did lose at NXT: TakeOver to NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks but I wonder if Bayley won't be put into a feud at least for now until the eventual rematch with Sasha happens?
- Alexa Bliss...it seems that this heel turn of hers is becoming a reality and if it is then Alexa Bliss I feel that she is much better as a heel than as a babyface so I wonder if that will transition into her going after that NXT Women's Championship?
- Breeze vs Zayn for the NXT Championship...it makes me wonder if we won't get Itami interfering? Or if we won't get Kevin Owens interfering in this match to cause the match to be thrown out?
- Finn Balor being interrupted by Curtis Axel of all people...I am glad that Axel is back in NXT and that perhaps him being in NXT could help revitalize his career that it could help resurrect it...damn it Axel is a third-generation superstar the business is in his blood his grandfather being Larry "The Ax" Hennig NWA/AWA legend his father being the late great Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig who is probably one of the greatest WWE Intercontinental Champions of all time and being a WWE Hall of Famer too on top of it and Axel in essence he is wrestling royalty...he is the "Perfect Son" he is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion he is a former Paul Heyman Guy so it is about damn time you have Axel become "Perfect" and maybe just maybe he can live up to his father perhaps even become just as good if not better than his father Mr. Perfect but a Balor/Axel feud I can actually get behind that
- Baron Corbin with yet another dominating win this time beating Bull Dempsey...I mean how has Corbin not been made #1 Contender for the NXT Championship? I mean he has virtually ran through everyone in NXT in convincing dominating fashion I mean has he even lost a match? I mean he has beaten his opponents and he has beaten them in record time...everyone who he comes up against everyone who comes up against him he has taken out so I ask again how he has not been even put in consideration as far as the NXT Championship goes? Corbin just has it all he has the power he has the overall look of a champion he screams NXT Champion but what Corbin needs more than anything is a manager a mouthpiece and he would be perfect...a perfect mouthpiece for Corbin would be you guessed it Paul Heyman...making Corbin a Paul Heyman Guy can only help his career if you think about it
- Kevin Owens ever since he turned his back on his best friend on his supposed brother Sami Zayn I mean Owens has essentially become not only bitter he has become self-absorbed arrogant cocky but a borderline dick but then again Owens was always like this but now that he has become this way he has essentially become much more entertaining...the family man it seems you have Owens in perfect character here but with that being said it is only a matter of time before Owens sets his sights on the NXT Championship and if he does I can see him making his move interfering in the NXT Championship match between Breeze & Zayn or he ends up showing up post-match...either way Owens I can see him putting Zayn on the shelf this time
- And in the main event Sasha Banks retains her NXT Women's Championship beating Becky Lynch via referee stoppage...I think that that's a perfect way to end a match if you ask me referee stoppage just basically puts Sasha over in the sense that it has her come across as being much more ruthless and vicious in the ring and after what she did in the main event no doubt she broke Becky Lynch's arm no doubt in my mind that she did but after that I mean who can really beat Sasha for that title?

Friday Night Smackdown: January 2nd, 2015 – Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia
Kicking off the first Smackdown of 2015 was a highlight video recapping the final Raw of 2014. John Cena defeated Randy Orton to join the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble, the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose continued and Triple H made his triumphant return. Cutting to the arena, Byron Saxton, Tom Phillips and Booker T welcomed everyone to the show and guaranteed a big show to kickoff 2015.
The music of John Cena hit, bringing the crowd to their feet for the usual mixed reaction. Viewers were again reminded of Cena’s accomplishment this past Monday night. He entered the ring and put over the hot crowd in Norfolk. “This past Monday night, something special happened. I made sure that you fine folks won’t have to sit through Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar in a battle of undesirables. Granted, it wasn’t my finest of victories but it still got the job done.” Cena continued through the mixture of cheers and boos. “I understand that not all of you like me. I even understand that a fair amount of you like Randy Orton and an even bigger portion like Brock Lesnar. There’s nothing wrong with that. You pay your hard earned money to come here and you’re free to enjoy the show as you please. But there are some facts that make Brock and Randy undesirable. For all of Randy’s natural talent and ability, his last run with the title saw him use every shortcut and Authority benefit that he could. Then you have Brock Lesnar. Also filled with natural talent and ability but where is he? He hasn’t defended the title since Survivor Series and only has one other defense back in September. Is that the kind of champion you want heading into WrestleMania? I know not everyone wants to see me win my fifteenth World Title but I can guarantee you one thing. I will not cower behind the Authority and I will be here, night in and night out to defend that title. I don’t want it because I think it’s my birthright and I don’t want it so I can hold up the WWE for more money. I want it because it’s the most important thing in the world.” Dolph Ziggler was in the ring after the break, awaiting the next challenger in his weekly open challenge.WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – DOLPH ZIGGLER (C) DEF. BO DALLAS W/ BIG SHOW IN 4:05; It seemed like Big Show was answering the open challenge, but Bo Dallas stepped in front to take up the offer. Bo used some underhanded tactics to take an early edge over the champion. He tried a few flash pins but Dolph Ziggler survived them all. The champion got hot, hit a superkick and the Zig Zag to keep the gold. Ziggler hoisted the title in the air while cameras caught Tyson Kidd and Cesaro watching on a monitor in the back.
In the back, Nikki Bella was shown preparing for her match later tonight. TYSON KIDD W/ CESARO AND NATALYA DEF. ADRIAN NEVILLE IN 7:45; Shortly after watching Dolph Ziggler pick up a win, Tyson Kidd got a victory of his own. Adrian Neville has also been mixed up in the intercontinental Title picture. Neville went for the imploding 450 splash but Cesaro got on the apron to distract the referee. Natalya got up on the other side, distracting Neville. Kidd got up and pulled him down off the top, landing on his back. He slapped on the Sharpshooter and Neville had no choice but to tap out. After the bell, Kidd motioned around his waist. It’s clear that he’s coming for the Intercontinental Title.
This past week, John Cena was officially nominated for the Celebs Gone Good Award, joining the likes of Taylor Swift, Emma Watson and LeBron James!
Viewers were now taken to a recap of Monday night when Vince and Shane McMahon nearly gave over control of the WWE to the Wyatt Family. The arrival of the returning Triple H changed everything though as “The Game” sent the Wyatt Family packing and is officially back.
SETH ROLLINS DEF. ALBERTO DEL RIO IN 12:16; Two men that have already qualified for the Royal Rumble went at it here. Alberto Del Rio has promised that he’s going to get back on track like he was during the autumn months. It wasn’t to be tonight though. Seth Rollins is riding too big a wave of momentum and won with the Curb Stomp.
Renee Young stood by backstage with AJ Lee. She asked her for thoughts heading into the number one contender’s match tonight. AJ admitted to being annoyed that she has to be in a triple threat match but was alright with it. “When you want to get your hands on someone as badly as I want to get my hands on Emma, then you’ll go through whoever and whatever is put in your way. I’m gonna get my hands on that bitch and bring home the title that I’ve wanted my entire life.”
Byron Saxton took viewers to a recap of the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho. That led to a special one on one sit down interview conducted by Tom Phillips with Cody Rhodes. Tom thanked Cody for the interview and asked about Jericho. Cody stated that Jericho used to be someone that he looked up to. “I grew up around this business and I watched it nearly every day of my life. I saw Chris Jericho and thought that he was the kind of performer I wanted to be one day. Granted, he’s still a fantastic performer, but he’s become such a bitter, disappointment.” Cody said that Jericho is on a misguided mission. “He believes that I’m this ungrateful person who doesn’t appreciate what I have. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Everything that my father and brother did meant the world to me. I know firsthand how hard it is to make it in this business. My father didn’t hand me a single thing. I’m not stupid though. I know my last name means a lot and I know it’s part of why I was given the opportunity that I got. But I’ll be damned if Jericho or anyone else believes that I didn’t earn my position and that I am not grateful for everything my family has done for me. On Monday though, what Jericho thinks won’t matter. All that’s gonna matter is that I’m shutting him up, once and for all.” ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – ZACK RYDER DEF. DAMIEN SANDOW IN 3:15; He hasn’t been seen much since Xavier Woods split up the Age of Enlightenment, but Damien Sandow looked to clinch a spot in the Royal Rumble tonight. Zack Ryder didn’t have a great 2014 but he began 2015 on the right track, hitting a Rough Ryder to pick up the surprising win. He fist pumped with the crowd, leaving a frustrated Sandow in the ring. In the back, Paige was shown getting ready for the big match tonight. It’s the first time she’ll be in action since being put out of action by Emma. The same vignette from Raw aired, featuring Xavier Woods. He spoke in front of a choir, saying that it’s time for a change. “You need to embrace it. It is a new day. The power of positivity compels you, me and every single person in the WWE Universe.” He got taken away from the microphone by two women before trying to reach back for it like James Brown. The words “A NEW DAY IS COMING” flashed across the screen. Commentary now took the viewers to a Raw Rebound. It showed highlights of the six man tag team match where Cesaro and Tyson Kidd joined forces with Seth Rollins to take on Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan. Kidd picked up another victory over Ziggler. Also on Raw, CM Punk suffered a frustrating defeat at the hands of the Miz.
THE ASCENSION DEF. KENNETH JOHNSON AND RHETT TITUS IN 1:21; The monstrous run of the Ascension continued here. They ran over Johnson and Titus and won with the Fall of Man.
Backstage, Renee Young interviewed Dean Ambrose. She asked him about the tag team match from this past Monday. Dean said that ever since the Shield, he doesn’t trust many people. “Still, Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler are two guys worth going to war with. Who am I kidding though? That’s not what you’re really here for. You wanna know about me and Seth beating the piss out of each other all the way to the bathrooms. I gotta tell you. That was fun. I wanna do it again. Maybe at the Royal Rumble, I’ll throw him over the top rope, go under it myself and beat him all the way to the bathroom. Then, I’ll be able to give him that swirly I wanna give him. When I’m done with that, I’ll go back to that ring, throw more people over the top and win that whole damn thing.”
NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH – PAIGE AND AJ LEE DEF. NIKKI BELLA IN 10:58; The WWE Women’s Champion Emma joined commentary for this match. All three women stared holes through her before the bell. Once it started, they all attacked each other as if they saw Emma in one another. Each girl came close to winning on more than one occasion. There was controversy in the end when all three women went to the top rope. AJ and Paige worked together for a super double back suplex on Nikki. They both placed their arms over Nikki and the referee counted to three.Confusion set in as the referee realized what he had done. When the women came to, they both protested that they were the winner. Emma shouted on commentary that none of them won and they don’t deserve a shot at her title. The show ended with both Paige and AJ arguing with the referee and no official result was made.

Monday Night Raw: January 5th, 2015 – American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas
A video aired recapping John Cena’s disqualification victory over Randy Orton last Monday. With that win, Cena was added to the WWE World Heavyweight Title match at the Royal Rumble. The cameras cut to the arena for the very first episode of Raw in 2015. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL welcomed viewers to tonight’s festivities and promised a huge show. “Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes will settle their score in a No Disqualifications match, we will find out exactly what is going on with the WWE Women’s Title and Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Randy Orton will sign the contract for their historic match at the Royal Rumble” explained Cole. “King of Kings” hit the loudspeakers and the Corpus Christi crowd cheered for the arrival of Triple H. Last week, Triple H returned to stop the Wyatt Family from taking over the WWE. He wore a leather jacket and had his trusty sledgehammer in hand. Once in the ring, Triple H retrieved a microphone from ringside and told the fans that it was good to be back. “But that’s now why I’m out here and that’s not why I’m back. What the Wyatt Family has done to me, this family and this company is too much. It’s one thing to go want power, but attacking my father-in-law was sickening. Granted, I’ve gone to war with Vince plenty of times but that was a different time. He is now a 70 year old grandfather with no intentions of hurting anyone. He came out to make an announcement and those pieces of crap not only attacked him, but they ambushed him like a bunch of cowards.” Triple H recapped the assault on him a week later and how proud he was of Shane McMahon for returning to defend the family honor. “I’m not here to play politics, I’m not here to have wrestling matches and I’m not here to be the COO of this company. I’m back to save this company and kick the Wyatt Family’s asses in the process.”
The music of Stephanie McMahon played to a chorus of boos. Triple H looked annoyed at the sight of her. She got in the ring and went for a hug but Triple H stepped back. She spoke, saying that she hasn’t talked to him much since the injury. “What’s the deal Hunter? You don’t answer my phone calls, you’re only home with the girls when I’m away. This is not how a marriage works. We’re supposed to be a family.” Triple H’s eyes narrowed in her direction. “Seriously Steph? You’ve got some serious lady balls to come out here and pull the family card with me. You were the one who completely ignored what’s been going on with our family in the past few months. When the Wyatt Family beat up your father, beat up your brother and beat me up, you did nothing. All you cared about was staying in power. You’re mad that I don’t answer your calls? You didn’t call your father once while he was in the hospital. You visited me only to bring the girls to see me. You have no right to try to be mad at me. I do have one question though. What if I didn’t show up last week? What if Shane and Vince signed the company over to Bray Wyatt? Where would that leave you?” Stephanie continued to give Hunter a stern look. She responded by saying that she had no idea there was a plan to give control of the company to the Wyatt Family. “I wasn’t here last Monday, I had no control over that. You have to understand me Hunter. If I would have known that was the case, I would have backed you guys from the start.” Triple H wanted to hear none of that, shouting at Stephanie that it’s all about power. “You should have cared about the health of your father, your brother and your husband regardless of the status of the company. As always, you put your career and your thirst for power ahead of everything else. Well be happy that I came back last week because the power is staying with the McMahon family. Hear me out though. I did it for me, Shane, Vince, this company and these people. No part of me did it for you.” He dropped the microphone and left a stunned Stephanie alone in the ring.
TYSON KIDD AND CESARO W/ NATALYA DEF. ADRIAN NEVILLE AND DOLPH ZIGGLER IN 8:56; Tyson Kidd kept his hot streak going last week by defeating Adrian Neville on Smackdown. Dolph Ziggler got frustrated with Kidd at several points, since Kidd only wanted in the match when Dolph was out or down. The finish didn’t involve them though since Cesaro put down Neville with a brutal popup uppercut. The tandem of Kidd and Cesaro have had Dolph’s number at every turn.
A WWE Network highlight video aired.
In the back, Renee Young stood by with Seth Rollins. She asked him about Dean Ambrose’s comments towards him on Smackdown. Seth let out a laugh, saying that Dean is all talk. “He can talk about wanting to give me a swirly and winning the Royal Rumble all he wants, but when push comes to shove, I’m the one who comes out on top. I’m the one who broke up the Shield, I’m the one that beat him at TLC and I’m going to use this briefcase to become your next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. As for tonight, I’m gonna sit back and watch Ambrose lose yet again. Other than that, I don’t really have any plans for the evening.”
A recap was shown of Triple H returning last week and taking out the Wyatt Family. Michael noted that since last Monday, the Wyatt Family hasn’t been seen. THE ASCENSION DEF. DWAYNE ELLIS AND PAPI C IN 0:42; Once again, the Ascension arrived, dominated and left. The Fall of Man took down the local talents.
“The Ravishing Russian” Lana and the WWE United States Champion Alexander Rusev were shown. Lane spoke, saying that with the new year upon us, it was time for them to celebrate the great tradition of Russian Christmas. “For Christmas, my super athlete has promised to keep the United States Title away from the big meathead Ryback.” Rusev ended the promo saying that he will CRUSH tonight and again when he finally gets his hands on Ryback.
CM PUNK AND DANIEL BRYAN DEF. KANE AND SHEAMUS IN 8:30; The string of tag team matches on Raw tonight continued. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have had some rocky moments lately, beginning with losing the Tag Team Titles at TLC, losing the rematch and leading right up to Punk’s frustrating loss to The Miz last Monday. They righted the ship here, picking up a victory over two of the biggest and toughest members of the Authority. Punk and Bryan high fived and things seemed back to normal after the bell.
A video package aired that showed the debut of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar back in 2002. He appeared on the scene during a hardcore match and ran through several WWE Superstars, making an immediate impact.
Viewers were informed that Popsugar.com voted Total Divas as the “Best Reality TV Show” in 2014! NIKKI BELLA DEF. LAYLA IN 2:16; Commentary noted that Nikki Bella was the woman who lost this past Friday on Smackdown. She was clearly infuriated about this and took it out on Layla, defeating her in quick fashion with a vicious forearm. She may not be the number one contender, but Nikki Bella is far from over what Emma did to her sister.
We were taken to London for a special word from Batista, who is on set filming his new film, Spectre. Batista said that he’s doing what stars do and that’s being busy. “The rest of the WWE roster can compete for the next few weeks and train their hardest, but the end result of the Royal Rumble is gonna be same as it was last year and ten years ago. I will show up, win and come back to film more blockbusters. Then, when I’m ready, I’m win back the WWE World Heavyweight Title that I came back in the first place for.” AJ Lee’s theme hit the speakers as she skipped down to the ring. A replay was shown of the finish to the number one contender’s match on Smackdown, where AJ Lee and Paige both covered Nikki Bella. AJ snatched a microphone from ringside and said that the past few days have been tough to get through. “Ever since I lost the Divas Championship to Paige back in May, my mind has been on one thing. I want to be champion again. After I retained my title at WrestleMania XXX, I called myself the best woman’s wrestler in the world. I had a right to say things like that but now, Emma is the champion. It sickens me that she of all people has the right to call herself the best. So over the past few days, I’ve been driven mad because I don’t know if I’m getting another opportunity to take what is rightfully mine back from Emma.” Before AJ could continue, Paige’s music hit and she made her way down to AJ. Paige also grabbed a microphone and said that AJ is not alone in her feelings. “Emma didn’t just take a title from me. She took the Women’s Title that I worked my ass off to get back in the WWE. She turned her back on me and our friendship. Worst of all, she took a month off of my career when she put me through a table. I’ve been waiting for a decision on all of this just like you have and I want my hands on Emma even more than you do. But there is one thing I disagree with you on. You keep saying the title is rightfully yours but we all know that isn’t the case is it? I did beat you back in May and again at Hell in a Cell. You also didn’t get the job done at TLC, while I’ve still yet to get my rematch.” AJ and Paige came face to face, looking to possibly reignite their rivalry. They were interrupted by the music of Raw’s Co-General Manager, Hulk Hogan. He walked out to the stage, receiving a positive reaction from the Corpus Christi audience. Hogan stayed on the stage and told the ladies to keep things calm. He noted that the way Smackdown ended made things tough and since he and Stephanie weren’t in attendance, a decision couldn’t made live. “However, I spoke with the Board of Directors today and we’ve all come to an agreement. At the Royal Rumble, Emma will defend her Women’s Championship against Paige!” Paige smiled, while AJ yelled in Hogan’s direction. Hogan continued though, “Wait. Emma will also defend the Women’s Title against AJ Lee! That’s right brothers, and sisters. It will be a triple threat match for the Women’s Championship!” Hogan headed to the back, leaving Paige and AJ glaring at each other in the ring.
Like the video for Brock Lesnar earlier, viewers were shown footage of Randy Orton’s WWE debut. One month after Lesnar, Orton debuted and defeated Hardcore Holly on Smackdown. Nearly 13 years later and Brock and Orton will face off as part of a huge triple threat match. A video package aired to recap the feud between Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes. After losing to Rhodes in the Survival Trials and accidentally getting hit by him at Survivor Series, Jericho had enough. He snapped, taking out Cody, insulting his family and calling Cody ungrateful and spoiled. Jericho defeated Rhodes at TLC, but the rivalry didn’t end there. Jericho laid down the challenge for their match tonight, which Cody gladly accepted. NO DISQUALIFICATIONS – CODY RHODES DEF. CHRIS JERICHO IN 17:34; Both men came to the ring for war, not dressed in traditional ring gear. Right from the start, they went face to face and traded right hands. The match spilled outside and they brawled through the crowd. Cody brought a chair into play, while Jericho used a kendo stick. He left several welts on Cody’s back from it. Jericho went for the Lionsault but Cody got his knees up. He connected on the Cross Rhodes only for Jericho to get his shoulder up. Cody picked up the chair again, but Jericho tripped him up and applied the Walls of Jericho. Cody fought hard, reaching for the ropes and making it. Under no DQ rules though, that didn’t break the hold so Cody had to crawl all the way out of the ring. Jericho slid Cody back in and picked up the chair. Cody quickly springboarded off the middle rope and scored with the Disaster Kick into the chair! Jericho fell to the ropes and bounced off right into a second Cross Rhodes that got Cody the win. The crowd went nuts when the three was counted. Cody raised his arms in victory, finally putting the issues with Jericho behind him and scoring one of the biggest wins of his career. NON-TITLE MATCH – ALEXANDER RUSEV W/ LANA DEF. R-TRUTH IN 1:48; Earlier tonight, Alexander Rusev promised to crush his opponent tonight. For the most part, he did just that. R-Truth didn’t stand much of a chance following a short burst of offense to start things off. Ryback watched on a monitor in the back as Rusev made Truth tap out to the Accolade.
Our final look at a past debut was shown. Footage of John Cena’s debut. Just three months after Lesnar debuted and two after Orton did, Cena answered an open challenge form Kurt Angle and took the future WWE Hall of Famer to the limit.
Backstage, Renee Young interviewed WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. She wanted his thoughts on the momentum that Tyson Kidd and Cesaro continue to pick up. Dolph responded by saying that it has been a thorn in his side. “But almost every single week, I go out there and offer an open challenge to anyone that wants a shot at my Intercontinental Title. And every single time, there is no Tyson Kidd or Cesaro anywhere. They can pick up all of the steam that they want but if they aren’t accepting my title shots, they won’t win all of the titles like they claim they want to.” Dolph said that the open invite for them to get a title shot remains there if they have the guts.
DEAN AMBROSE DEF. THE MIZ W/ SUMMER RAE IN 10:52; After picking up a huge win over CM Punk last Monday, The Miz looked to stay hot against another top star in Dean Ambrose. He hit some of key offensive maneuvers and had Ambrose reeling. Dean fired back with the rebound clothesline, leading a rally that ended with Dirty Deeds. Seth Rollins wanted to sit back and watch Ambrose lose tonight but that wasn’t the case. A New Day vignette was shown next. Xavier Woods appeared on stage again, but was joined by a gyrating Big E this time around. Woods spoke about a new day coming and the power of positivity. Big E grabbed the microphone and said that the WWE is a stale, out of touch place and the New Day were here to save the day.
ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH – BIG SHOW AND BO DALLAS DEF. LOS MATADORES W/ EL TORITO IN 3:11; The surprisingly strong tandem of Big Show and Bo Dallas looked very good once again. Bo found himself in trouble at points against Fernando and Diego but once Show got the tag, he steamrolled them. Show knocked out Diego and put himself and Dallas into the Royal Rumble. Returning, the ring was set up for the contract signing. Hulk Hogan oversaw it and introduced the three participants. Paul Heyman accompanied WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar of course. Heyman spoke first, running down the long list of accomplishments in the career of Brock Lesnar. “Randy Orton, you are one of the greatest Superstars to ever lace up a pair of boots in this ring but there’s something John Cena knows that you don’t just yet. You see, John has been in the ring with the beast. John knows what the conqueror is capable of. At Survivor Series and even back at SummerSlam, John Cena got victimized and failed in front of his entire Cenation when he stepped foot in the ring with Brock Lesnar. Randy, I’m not taking anything away from you. You are one of the very best in the history of this business. But you’re coming for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at the wrong time because Brock Lesnar is not a normal man. Brock Lesnar is a beast.” Randy Orton cracked a small smile and responded while Brock signed the contract. He said that Paul Heyman talks a good game. “You have everyone fooled. You have John Cena fooled, you have these people fooled, and hell, you even fooled the Undertaker back at WrestleMania. People think that your client is some unstoppable monster and so far, you’ve been right. But there’s one thing you’re forgetting. Brock Lesnar has never faced me.” Brock and Randy came face to face. “I am the Apex Predator around here and Brock Lesnar seems to be the biggest prey around.” It was Brock’s turn to smirk at Randy, while “The Viper” signed the contract. Both men turned to Cena, who picked up a microphone from the table. “You saw Smackdown. I told everyone that I’m not gonna win because I think my last name means I deserve it and I’m not gonna do it for the paycheck like some people around here. I’m gonna beat both of you because that championship means more to me than anything else.” Cena signed and just as Hogan was ready to close things, Brock turned and leveled Cena. Hogan exited the ring as quickly as he could, while Brock wailed away on Cena in the corner. Orton watched for a moment before sneaking up behind him and hitting a low blow. Brock fell to the mat but got back to his feet rather quickly. Orton waited and pounced with an RKO. Cena struggled to his feet and looked at the carnage. He and Orton looked at one another, ready to attack. Brock continued to show how unstoppable he is, already getting up from the RKO. Cena stepped forward and dropped him with an Attitude Adjustment! He left the ring and headed up the ramp, never taking his eyes off of Orton. Orton went to leave as well, but Brock stirred and pulled himself up again. “What is it gonna take to keep Brock Lesnar down?” questioned JBL. Orton stepped back inside and nailed a second RKO! Heyman put his hands on his head in disbelief. Orton then walked up the ramp but stopped when the music of Seth Rollins hit. “Oh my god,” exclaimed Michael Cole. Rollins ran past Orton with a referee in tow. Once in the ring, Seth handed the briefcase to the official, who gave it to the ring announcer. Eden announced that Seth was cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. The crowd popped while Paul Heyman shouted for Brock to get up. The fans got even louder when Dean Ambrose ran in through the crowd and started trading blows with Seth. Dean ducked a right hand and dropped him with Dirty Deeds. “Dean Ambrose promised Seth that as long as he breathed, Seth would never cash in his briefcase and he made good on that tonight,” said Cole. Dean left the ring, stared down Paul Heyman and left through the crowd to close the show.

- 20 days until the Royal Rumble PPV...2 and a half weeks more until the Royal Rumble PPV and this RAW was the perfect RAW no honestly it was
- That contract signing for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the Triple Threat Match between the champion Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Randy Orton was something...I mean Orton had to use not one but 2 RKOs just to take out Lesnar while Cena hit Lesnar with an AA I mean Lesnar after taking those finishers he was right back on his feet all be it gingerly but right back on his feet I couldn't believe it...almost rose up like Dracula almost like The Terminator that basically just goes to show you that Lesnar is no ordinary man because those finishers would have put out any normal man but Lesnar is not just a man he's a Beast but at the same time Rollins trying to cash in his briefcase on Lesnar only for Ambrose to stop him yet again I mean basically just goes to show you that Ambrose will stop at nothing to make sure that Rollins doesn't wind up as WWE World Heavyweight Champion
- Big Show and Bo Dallas qualifying for the 2015 Royal Rumble by beating Los Matadores to get into the match I mean Big Show automatically has to be a favorite because of his size he is the Largest Athlete in the World 7 feet 500 pound giant like who is going to be able to get him out? Not to mention his partner Bo Dallas is in there too but then again it is every man for himself and only one of them can win so would Bo eliminate Show? Or would Show eliminate Bo?
- New Day vignette...I'm telling you Xavier, Kofi and Big E. will burst back on to the scene making their re-debut at the 2015 Royal Rumble PPV and the New Day all 3 members will probably be in the Royal Rumble Match if anything
- Dean Ambrose has got to be on a roll I mean not only does he have to be considered a favorite in the 30 Man Royal Rumble Match but then again Rollins he is also in the Royal Rumble Match and Ambrose has only 1 thing in mind which is to eliminate Rollins and win the 30 Man Royal Rumble Match but then again Roman Reigns is also in the Royal Rumble Match...all 3 former Shield members in the Royal Rumble Match and what if it comes down to those 3 guys? Ambrose beating The Miz here I mean after Miz's huge win against Punk I was expecting him to pull out an upset by beating Ambrose but that didn't happen but Miz he has never won a Royal Rumble Match in his career even though Miz at this point he is a Triple Crown winner he has done it all except win a Royal Rumble Match but Miz for him it is all about luck of the draw but then again for Ambrose it is also luck of the draw too
- Ziggler keeps throwing down the gauntlet he keeps putting the challenge out there for Cesaro and or Kidd to try to take the WWE Intercontinental Championship away from him but neither one of them seem to answer the challenge but then again that could always change between now and the 2015 Royal Rumble PPV
- But showing Cena, Orton and Lesnar's careers in video packages and how their careers all date back to that infamous OVW class of 2002 because they along with Batista are probably the biggest stars of that class bar none but 3 of them Cena, Lesnar and Orton are in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at the PPV while Batista is in the Royal Rumble Match
- WWE United States Champion Rusev beating R-Truth in relatively dominant fashion...Rusev's undefeated streak continues I mean if he could crush R-Truth then Lord only knows who will be able to stop Rusev from winning the 2015 Royal Rumble Match? Rusev has to be the favorite I mean he hasn't been beaten he hasn't been pinned or even made to submit in singles competition yeah sure he has DQs and countouts against him but those aren't clean losses because Rusev hasn't lost countly because he hasn't been pinned or hasn't been made to submit but sooner or later he and Ryback are going to have to go at it and when they do that WWE United States Championship will be on the line and if it is it begs the question of if that match happens at the PPV or if it happens at Fast Lane?
- Cody Rhodes finally ends the rivalry between himself and Jericho by beating Jericho cleanly in not just any match but a No DQ match where anything goes and Cody basically just showed us that when it comes to stipulation matches especially matches like a No DQ match he is as good as anyone but this win is a huge win for Rhodes because it gives him momentum going into the Royal Rumble Match and considering he won Survival Trials can he win the 2015 Royal Rumble Match? Jericho with a huge loss I mean it doesn't really hurt Jericho because he put Rhodes over but at the same time it makes me wonder how Jericho will recover from this loss?
- A Triple Threat for the WWE Women's Championship...2 Triple Threats on the Rumble PPV card but one for the WWE Women's Championship with Emma having to defend her title against not only Paige but also against AJ Lee I mean Emma she doesn't even have to be pinned or even made to tap out to lose her title because either Paige could pin AJ or vice versa and Emma could lose the title that way so it makes me wonder what Emma is going to do?
- See Batista is a movie star he is an A list star much like The Rock...Batista is in Hollywood filming the newest Bond film do you know how big of a deal that is? Batista already has Chronicles of Riddick, The Man with the Iron Fists and Guardians of the Galaxy all under his belt and now he has Spectre 007 under his belt too so Batista is becoming quite the big deal in Hollywood so it makes me wonder if he wouldn't leave the WWE to go back to Hollywood? I mean Batista he won the 2014 Royal Rumble Match last year and he is in the 2015 Royal Rumble Match this year he has to be the favorite considering he won the whole thing last year and Batista in his career he has won 2 Royal Rumble Matches so imagine if Batista wins the 2015 Royal Rumble Match? He will tie Austin for the most Royal Rumble Match wins with 3 Royal Rumble Match victories hell Batista is already in good company with Cena, Hogan, Michaels and Austin so could Batista make history again?
- Nikki Bella beating Layla...I mean Nikki after losing the #1 Contender's Triple Threat Match against AJ Lee and Paige she rebounds by getting a win against Layla...I mean Layla at this point in her career she may as well retire or she may as well be enhancement talent while Nikki going over basically just puts her right back in contention for the WWE Women's Championship
- CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have to be sentimental favorites as far as winning the Royal Rumble Match but only one of them can win the Royal Rumble Match and what if it came down to CM Punk and Daniel Bryan in the Royal Rumble Match as the final 2 men? Or what if it came down to them as far as starting the Royal Rumble Match as #1 and #2? I mean they more or less win their match against Authority members Kane and Sheamus who are also in the Royal Rumble Match but there has been tension between Punk and Bryan for weeks now so something has gotta give I mean one of them is bound to turn on the other even if things seem to be normal but nothing is ever as it seems
- The Ascension beating another jobber tag team I mean nothing really surprises me but is this seriously the only competition these 2 are going to get? I mean they have virtually ran through everything and everyone in the Tag Team division like seriously give them more competition better competition
- Kidd and Cesaro beating Neville and WWE Intercontinental Champion Ziggler in Tag Team action...I mean Kidd with yet another win over Ziggler first in singles action then in a Tag Team match that should put him in contention as far as the WWE Intercontinental Championship but then again how about Cesaro doesn't he have a singles win over Ziggler too? Considering Neville and Ziggler them teaming together after they had that epic Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship back at TLC I mean it just boggles my mind how these 2 men are still even teaming with each other but I mean aren't Ziggler, Kidd, Cesaro and Neville all in the Royal Rumble Match?
- It seems that there are problems in the McMahon Helmsley marriage that is for sure especially considering Triple H and Stephanie's marriage their family with their 3 daughters and how Stephanie has virtually been obsessed with being power hungry on this show while Triple H actually cares about this family he actually cares about his father-in-law Vince his brother-in-law Shane while Stephanie has virtually lost sight of all of that and with The Wyatt Family making a play for this company I mean what is to stop Bray Wyatt from going after Stephanie to get complete control of this company

WWE NXT: January 8th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
The NXT intro video package started the show tonight before commentary took over and introduced things. They were quickly cut off by the music of Kevin Owens. He walked to the ring while Tom Phillips reminded viewers that two weeks ago, Owens defeated Evan Bourne and seems to be on a collision course with NXT Champion Sami Zayn. He did not seem amused with anything going on tonight and began by saying that the main event is a damn shame. “I don’t care if Tyler Breeze won a few matches or if anyone wins any number one contender matches. You’re looking at the next NXT Champion.” Owens continued by saying that he thinks William Regal is an idiot for booking this match tonight. “Look, however the main event goes tonight, I’m coming for the next shot at the title. I don’t care if it’s Sami Zayn or not. I know all of you think what I did to Sami a few months ago was about Sami but it was about the NXT Title. So if Tyler Breeze has it, then I’ll just have to end him too.” Owens threw down the microphone and headed to the back, making his intentions very clear.
Backstage, Devin Taylor stood by with Blake and Murphy. She said that they requested this time. Blake said they their recent wins have not been flukes and they want to prove that they’re the best tag team in NXT. Murphy sent a warning to Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and challenged them to a match next week.
An ad aired to promote the Royal Rumble, live on January 31st! The road to WrestleMania 31 officially begins!
Another ad was shown, this one discussing NXT’s move to Wednesday nights starting next week.
CURTIS AXEL DEF. TYE DILLINGER IN 4:44; Since Jason Jordan split away from him, Tye Dillinger has been in a funk. It continued as he stepped into the ring against a man looking to come to NXT to make an impact. Curtis Axel put him down with the Axehole and celebrated by looking into the camera and telling Finn Balor that he just proved why he belongs at the top of NXT.
Byron Saxton stood by with NXT Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks. He directed fans to a video recap of what Sasha did to Becky Lynch last week. He asked Sasha for her thoughts on that. Sasha gave a small laugh and said that it was exactly what she thought would happen. “This is what happens when lesser women step into the ring with the boss.” She was interrupted by the arrival of former NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte. Charlotte told Sasha that she was disgusted by last week. “Whatever flaws I may have had as champion, I beat people in the ring 1-2-3 or I made them tap out. I never went out and tried to injury anyone.” Sasha told Charlotte to mind her business before she followed Becky to the hospital. Charlotte responded, “I dare you to try it,” before walking away. A video package aired to hype up Hideo Itami. Itami hasn’t competed since losing to Tyler Breeze at TakeOver, but promised that they were not finished.
An advertisement ran to promote WWE Shop.
It was followed by another commercial reminding viewers that NXT moves to Wednesday nights beginning next week!
BAYLEY DEF. JESSIE MCKAY IN 2:05; The Australian star made her NXT debut tonight but ran into trouble. Bayley was fresh off of the toughest, most crushing defeat of her career at TakeOver. She withstood an impressive array of kicks from Jessie McKay before hitting the Bayley to Belly and winning. Bayley is back on track. Subscribe to the WWE Network today and get the first month free! That means you can watch the Royal Rumble completely for free! Footage from the Survival Trials Finals aired, showing Sami Zayn’s emotional NXT Championship victory over Corey Graves. Once the video ended, the camera cut to General Manager William Regal in his office. He informed the viewers that next week, he would personally address Kevin Owens for his comments earlier tonight.
A commercial aired to plug the return of Total Divas this Sunday.APOLLO CREWS DEF. JUSTIN GABRIEL IN 3:38; After weeks of vignettes, Apollo Crews made his long awaited debut. The veteran Justin Gabriel was a tough opponent, but Crews impressed the NXT fans with an incredibly display of athleticism, including a gorgeous moonsault. He won with a spinout powerbomb, completing a successful debut.
Devin Taylor stood by with Finn Balor in the back and asked him about Curtis Axel’s win tonight. Finn responded by admitting he thought it was impressive. “Nobody is denying how good Curtis Axel is. It’s in his genes. But he’s going to need more than a famous family to beat me when the time comes.” Finn reiterated that he plans on being the next NXT Champion. NXT CHAMPIONSHIP – SAMI ZAYN (C) DEF. TYLER BREEZE IN 11:14; Tyler Breeze didn’t pay attention to his selfie stick as soon as he got in the ring. He came out firing and looked to pick up a pinfall at any opening. Unfortunately for Tyler, his arrogance began to come into play. As he started taking down Zayn, he got more confident and started falling back into classic Tyler. He hit the supermodel kick and posed for a moment, which allowed Sami to kick out. Tyler went for the Beauty Shot but Sami sidestepped it. As soon as Tyler got up, Sami locked him in the Koji Clutch. Tyler fought and crawled towards the ropes before rolling over and turning it into a pin for two. A few moments later, Tyler whipped Sami into the corner. He charged in only for Sami to move and nail a corner exploder. Tyler slowly got to his feet and was greeted by Sami’s Helluva Kick, allowing the champion to retain. Sami Zayn’s celebration was cut rather short though. Kevin Owens showed back up and sent him into the ropes. Sami bounced off right into a popup powerbomb, just like the night of his championship celebration. Officials rushed out but Owens got what he wanted. He calmly walked away, once again leaving Sami Zayn laid out.
