So apparently Rev Theory is gonna play Orton's theme live, and we know since before that Bray Wyatt's theme will be played live, is it just me that thinks live perfomances ruin the whole thing? The only perfomance I thought was even remotely good was Living Colour's last year. But it just ruins the whole thing for me. Anyone else?

Living Colour last year was the only one where the entrance flowed smoothly and didn't feel like the performance didn't detract from the entrance. Triple H's from 2002 (and '05) were garbage because it was more about the the band than the entrance. I have no problem with a band performing a theme song, but any live performance of one's theme song at any event should focus on the wrestler and not the band because, after all, it is a wrestling event.

Usually the live performances are pretty bad. Maybe they're good if you're there in person, but on TV they sound pretty horrible.
I do agree that Living Colour was the only good performance I've seen at Wrestlemania or any WWE event for that matter.

I don't mind live performances when it's someone playing a theme song. But stuff like that Kid Rock medley at WM25 is complete bullsh*t.

I loved Motorhead playing HHH to the ring but I happen to love Motorhead and relish any chance to see them live.
I think it must suck for most musical artists though because the crowd at a wrestling show just doesn't get into a live musical performance the same way a crowd at a concert does. Honestly, as musician if a wrestler asked me to perform their entrance theme live I would decline.

Speaking as a musician too though, it would be hard to decline playing in front of 60,000+ people.

I loved Triple H's entrance at WM X8 but that's about it. I love CM Punk's entrance music but I felt Living Colour's performance was meh
I don't see the need for anybody to be performing at a wrestling show.

I like when Motorhead plays and Lemmy remembers what he's singing, which he hardly does for "Ace of Spades" of the several times I've seen them. Great nonetheless. But I think what really sucks is sound on them anyway. You're playing for well over 60,000 at a WM usually and your sound check was likely way earlier in the day and the event isn't based around music. The sound will likely disappoint. I think it adds more to being a bigger event though, I disagree with those to who feel it detracts. WM is supposed to be big and grand, why not add to the pomp?

As long as I don't see Kid Rock singing at WM30, I'm cool.
Motorhead singing Triple H's theme song was good, but apparently sang the wrong lyrics throughout the song.

It gives it a big time feel. Are all of the performances good? No. It's hit or miss really.
