Now that some of the figures from the legends line are being released again in regular elites as flashbacks (LOD and Andre) does anyone else hope we see a better Snuka and sgt slaughter released in later elites along with some of the harder to find legends we might have missed?

Snuka Im indifferent on. His trunks & barefeet were a more popular look but I was never a big Snuka fan. I really want an Iraqi Slaughter though. Just like this....

Really want Iraqi Slaughter and seeing as he's been basically a life long backstage hand/official, I'm sure it will happen eventually.

Actually, I can't see Mattel even considering celebrating the legacy of one of the most controversial, and to many offensive, angles in wrestling history. Especially in a post 9/11, second Iraq War world.

I don't want torture the board members with my political opinions. But, correct. There was no connection between Iraq and 9/11. What I was trying to say is that that particular period of Slaughter's career was extremely controversial, and not something that Mattel would want any part of. Just as I couldn't see them doing a Fritz Von Erich in his nazi attire.

As far as the Iron Sheik, it's completely different. He never pledged his loyalty to the leader of a country we were about to go to war with with. At least, not as the Iron Sheik.
I would absolutely love both an Iraqi Slaughter figure. I just can't see Mattel doing it.

The absolute worse case scenario is they would leave off the Iraqi flag on his jacket. The Iraqi flag doesnt represent "hate" like the swastika did/does. I dont think Mattel would have a problem making an Iraqi sympathizer Slaughter though (if they thought it would sell) its not nearly as controversial as killing 6 million Jews or a Benoit fiasco.

Especially in a post 9/11, second Iraq War world. Iron Sheik says hello. Iron Sheik is from Iran, not Iraq. Those are two totally different countries in case you didn't know. But neither one of them had anything to do with 9/11. Hence an Iron Sheik figure or Iraqi sympathizer Slaughter should be okay. But I'd rather just have his ring tights.

I'd like a Sarge in camo, be it Iraq version or the crying "I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK" version.

I'd LOVE a barefoot Snuka and camo Slaughter. And also a re-release of some other Legends - like an Elite Million Dollar Man, Elite Roddy Piper in entrance gear and British Bulldog (long hair/braids look). Hopefully it'll happen one day... I'd think RSC exclusives would be most likely.

Barefoot Snuka is a real real want. His legends series 2 fig, Mattel just missed the boat on. Barefoot Snuka was much more popular

Everyone knows that was done by our own government. I posted that because Iron Sheik is the most controversial character ever. Saying Mattel would never make a controversial character a figure when they already made the most controversial was kind of silly.
